  1. Uh, Boston was literally on the team for a decade. We've had plenty of scum bags come and go.

  4. That trade is just horrific when you look at who the Sox received. Rather just have the 40 man spots than the group of mediocrity they received.

  7. 4 runs in 2 innings on 54 pitches. 4 walks, 0 strikeouts. Terrific work, Clev. Maybe 5 days from now he can lower his ERA to a single digit. That would be something. Or he gets cut, that would be fine too.

  8. Lee and Ramos both in the starting line up!

  10. RBIs are a direct product of the guys in front of you. If Burger was on the Sox he would not have 15 RBI.

  11. PUMPED TO WATCH CLEVINGER PLAY BASEBALLLLLLLLLLL FOR THE WHITE SOX!!!

  12. Great idea. Vaughn can make his money being added to the RestoreHair.com billboard roster of Urlacher and Ryne Sandberg. God knows he isn’t going to make much more money in baseball.

  13. This makes zero sense though. Lopez had one good season with the bat in 2021, that is all. Only the Sox would be stupid enough to view Lopez as a starter. It’s embarrassing. And does he truly move the needle at all on the fan base, just because he is from Naperville? You have to still be a good player for fans to care about you, which Lopez is not.

  14. I'm shocked to learn that Lopez has actually barrel'd a ball this year. 1 percentile in hard hit %, 3 percentile in barrel %. 10 percentile in average exit velocity. Only hitting line drives 12% of the time. Who the hell is giving him hitting advice? Cause it's horrendous. He needs to be hitting line drives, not fly balls.

  19. We sure are practicing pickoffs right. We've had 3 already this year? Put that guy in charge of the entire org.

  20. Only tuning in for Lee and Ramos. I love how Korey Lee is starting to solidify himself as a major league catcher. It would be amazing to not have to figure out the catching situation for the (hopefully...probably wishful thinking) next contending team.

  21. I'll stop being 'quiet' about Burger. He actually has 15 RBIs which is darn good for the amount of at bats. And I've read some stories from Miami for when he got hurt. The skipper was dejected. He was all about Jake Burger. Don't forget the RBIs and don't forget how it's just April. It used to take my fave, Abreu, forever to get going. Long live Burger!

  27. Lopez doesn't have a single MLB redeeming quality to his game. A perfect microcosm of the 2024 White Sox.

  38. He def seems like a guy that likes to have a "good time". I famously dinged him for looking out of shape and drinking beer at English soccer games during his comeback. I think he's a guy that loves baseball but also loves other things, which is great. You got too many guys on our squad like Vaughn that it just looks like their entire brain is devoted to baseball and when they are scuffling it is not easy to get those types turned around.

  39. People got way too obsessed with fantasy packages for Cease that was like a top 20 prospect and then some. What they ended up getting was a Top 50 prospect and two more borderline top 100 prospects PLUS a solid controllable reliever who hopefully will be flipped for more prospects in a few months. This is not only an acceptable package, but a pretty damn solid one. After having the knowledge of what has happened so far this season, no way would I have wanted Dylan Cease to be on this team until July.

  40. The amount of vitriol the Burger trade received was of epic proportions. Yes, he would be an everyday player on the Sox roster. Doesn't change the fact that he isn't that good.

  42. No there isn't better talent in AA than AAA. There's more potential perhaps but not talent. Your AAAA types in AAA means they have enough talent to play in the majors but not stick there. If your average AA player had more talent they wouldn't be in AA . Part of your talent comes from experience and adjusting. Plenty of AA players never advance beyond it. Look at Montgomery. Everyone knows he has great potential , but he lacks the experience of fringe MLB types He may have taken all that coaching about plate discipline a little too seriously . Right now he's leaving the bat on his shoulder too much. Experience will teach him how to be a good hitter and still take walks. It's very nuanced and part of the learning curve. AAA is for playing against better more ripened players just a notch below MLB quality.
