I don't think they're a first place team after all.6 points

Thing is, you could actually cook something up real nice alongside the Bulls. It's a little close to the current Southside jerseys with the all black base, but it looks clean. I also dig this guy's design:4 points

😂 😂 😂 best part about this is once the Sox are sold, we will never hear about Chris Getz again3 points

He already got the only extension he cared about.3 points

At least we still have a Montgomery to be excited about3 points

There’s one person that deserves blame for this that’s left in the organization besides JR, and it’s not Katz.3 points

The White Sox are NOT a 72-90 team (.444 winning percentage). They will be quite fortunate to get out of the 50s.2 points

At 2-5 the new manager has to be concerned. Got to win next game vs detroit and show we can win four of every nine. 4-5 of every nine would mean a decent season. Crucial stretch here to determine whether we just stink or royally stink.2 points

He'll never even sniff a GM job. He'll be lucky to be an area scout.2 points

It’s really amazing how many guys peak at like 25 with the Sox and then completely lose all ability. Never seen anything like this, and it’s happened to four guys recently.2 points

Weird, I was told before we got rid of all of the problems.2 points

Getz will be fired in a couple years when Ishbia takes over. Maybe a few years after that we can field a competitive team. There's no evidence so far that Getz is any better than Hahn imo.2 points

Rate field will be hosting 5-8k next week. That’s about 5-8k too many2 points

Copy+Paste Chris Getz quote about not liking how our team looks, it'll look good under his regime cause the defense will be fucking awesome and pitchers will love it.2 points

Hey MLB professionals....currently struggling? Frustrated?.....circle those upcoming games against the White Sox....you'll feel better about yourselves for a few days at least.2 points

What do you mean again, they never left suck in the first place.2 points

Having a putrid offense is such a poor viewing experience. At least the minors are now in full swing.2 points

If I was a hitter I would not acknowledge the bullpen after I hit a homer. What have they done for me? f*** em.2 points

At what point do we accept the sad reality that we are slowly marching towards Robert being released/option not picked up and never traded?2 points
-
I just prefer they try to find a guy with possible upside instead of literally some of the worst hitters in the sport. Give me Palacios over Jankowski.2 points
-
But as a veteran would you sign a long term deal with a team going through this process right now? It's not if the Sox have the prospects to call up. It's when they will offer the longer deals and when the veterans think they have progressed enough to sign. They aren't trying to win right now.2 points
-
Baldwin coming to bat, only guy i look forward to seeing at the plate.2 points

They don’t have outfield prospects to call up though. Outside of the catchers and Meidroth, there’s no one else that seems close.2 points

You're not really making an argument, here. Last year's stats don't apply to the 2025 team. It's fun to pretend, tho.2 points

Vaughn has had to pick some really stinky throws this season.2 points

That's moronic thought process. Lets just play Jankowski a lot, were going to cut him anyways. Right up the White Sox alley.2 points

Were not going to get anything worth a s%*# for him, and its sad.2 points

At this rate he’s gonna be gone next offseason for nothing. That’s rough because you’re looking at no other assets that would bring anything back in return of significance. That’s where the Cease/Santos/Fedde failures is brutal.2 points

Yeah I forgot about them because Crochet isn't comparable to them. That was whole reason I brought them up1 point
-
Rodon just had a healthy 2.0 WAR season and has had multiple better seasons than Crochet has had, just for one of countless examples of pitchers having worse seasons than they had previously. Just a couple years ago, Cease followed up a 6.4 WAR season with a healthy 2.2 season for another example.1 point
-
Not if he puts up a 2 WAR season. Guys like Cole, Sale, Verlander, etc put up multiple 6+ WAR seasons in actuality rather than hypothetical ones1 point
-
Don't get me wrong, I agree it's within realm of possibility Crochet puts up three 6 WAR seasons, but seems mighty speculative for a guy with a career high of 4.1 and career total of 6.1 point
-
Crochet is making $3.6M this year. He won't make more than $10M next year even if he wins the Cy. If his arm blows up over his next 65 starts, which is extremely likely IMO, he's never even coming close to sniffing that kind of money. I think this is a great deal for Garrett and one with significant risk for the Red Sox.1 point
-
Max Fried got more than that and Crochet's a better pitcher than Fried. But, Crochet has never pitched an unencumbered full-season; Crochet may have been able to get more by waiting but there is risk to doing that and even last year, Crochet was wanting to sign an extension.1 point
