You can play the lineup splits game when you have, ya know, a decent team. Like LAD, CHC, PHI, MIL, NYY, DET, et al. You don't necessarily have that luxury when you don't have really good players to begin with, or at least proven ones. Also, and I am not trying to make excuses at all, but it does suck that both Teel and Baldwin are on the shelf at the moment. All teams deal with injuries, but it's even more exacerbated when you don't have much to play with after your starters get hurt. Just gotta hold onto the anticipation of Braden, Ant, Roch, McDougal, etc I guess. But damn it sucks to keep saying "just wait until player xyz makes the roster then things will be better, when we've been saying this since basically 2017, almost 10 years, and with little to show for it. Patience runs thin when you've been essentially rebuilding for a decade.
