  1. Hey, how about a season where we beat up on the rest of the Central. Let's do it!!!
  2. Another 6 star catch from the greatest defender to ever do it
  3. Always feels good to beat the Twins! Sloppy game really but we'll take it. Winning when you don't play great is progress. Great job by Kay finding a way to get it done today.
  4. I don't understand. This isn's like an "either/or". Cholowsky has a really high ceiling and he'll get better in the player dev system too. I don't think he plateaued. There's still a huge ceiling to reach.
  5. Big win coming off of the lackluster roadtrip and short turnaround. Sox improve to 27-26, and gain a game of breathing room on the Twins with 6 more to play in the coming days. 15-10 at home, 13-9 in May. This version of Anthony Kay will play. 1.98 ERA his last 5 starts, 3-0 record. Taylor, Hudson, Dominguez closed it out, so hopefully the Sox have a bigger cushion tomorrow for the pen. Nishida recorded his first hit, an OF assist, and seemingly every other putout in his debut.
  6. Hell yea, all hands on deck. Might as well try and be decent.
  7. Love the roster churn when some things aren't working. As a starter or out of the bullpen this is a boost
  8. 30k+ in attendance. Romo a great catch and tag at Homeplate. Also, a 2run homer in a 3-1 win. Kay Taylor Hudson Domiguez, just the way they drew it up.
  9. I'll cut them from slack for today since they played a west coast day game yesterday and then flew home for another one today.
  10. Gotta start taking your walks Colson.
  11. Wow, what is the point of this post except to be mean spirited and kick a guy when he’s down?
  12. I actually did not. I just told @joejoesox that I liked his idea to call up Nishida because it was out of the box thinking that I hadn't thought about much. Great timing by him to mention it. I thought there could be a pitching move or 2 before Monday's game.
  13. The fact that he may be replacing Acuna is enough to love.
  14. 2 points
https://www.mlb.com/prospects/stats/affiliates?teamId=145&date=05/25/2026 Just the ACL game. Remember today is for those who died in the line of duty. 3pm is the official National Moment of Remembrance.
  15. He's not stretched out enough to replace a starter yet in my opinion. My guess is Richards, and he piggybacks with Burke tomorrow
  16. But wait, there's more! Richards the corresponding?
  17. Yeah, up until this 2 month stretch, Gonzalez has done virtually nothing to warrant a call up in seasons past. Let’s see him do it for a longer stretch before saying he should be on the big league team. I’m a Rikku fan, so I’m glad to see him get a shot.
  18. I pointed this out, but Kay has been fine in May and there is reason to believe he can at least be a capable back of the rotation starter moving forward. And that is huge as it means there is only one blatant hole in the rotation right now.
  19. If you had the Sox at 1 over on Memorial Day and in a WC with the Tigers 12 under and 10.5 back in the division go ahead and collect your winnings.
  20. Sox back in the 2nd wildcard with 1/3 the season over. Fairly remarkable.
  21. Pretty good debut by Nishida and great pitching by Kay & the BP ! Mune and Romo did Mune and Romo things.
  22. Pitching and homers for the V. Good show.
  23. Gonzalez has been legit bad prior to this year. Don’t think it’s all that crazy to want to him to succeed for more than two months before calling him. If he can maintain his production, he will force the issue. Rikuu is simply a placeholder until a better LH presents itself.
  24. They took a Full House tour and were tuckered out.
  25. One of those 42 games that could go either way. Good win.
  26. You'd think he loaded the bases from reading this thread
  27. Sure could have used some insurance runs.
  28. April showers bring Kay flowers? 2 ERA through 5 starts for him this month
  29. The ending wasn't what we wanted but Vargas has such good at-bats man. He's turning himself into a damn solid player. 45 pitches already for Matthews. Keep up the pressure!
  30. The schedule this year has been absolute bullshit.
  31. I saw that live and immediately told everyone around me that it was time to DFA his ass.
  32. Rikuu's callup has a Duke Ellis vibe to it. They're not going to call up Gonzo to sit. He's an infielder, and he's not displacing any of Vargas, Colson, Meidroth or Mune.
  33. This didn't really "fit" anywhere but I thought it was interesting and may be a possible outcome when Ishbia takes control: Awful AnnouncingSuns owner Mat Ishbia defends keeping local broadcasts ov...Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia defended keeping local game broadcasts on free, over-the-air television rather than cable.Perhaps the Ishbia's aren't as 'bad' as some seem to think they are?
  34. One foot in the door, the other one in the gutter...
  35. 45 of the final 110 games in the division. Let’s do this!
  36. Rikuu has consistently put up outstanding obp at every level of his career. He could be a fun guy to watch get on base and cause havoc on the basepath.
  37. They just take forever sometimes with development and they don't play all the time due to the nature of the position. Take shortstops.
  38. This is extremely disingenuous to say when Roch Cholowsky had the sophomore year that he had. Go look at Vahn Lackey's sophomore season. No s%*# he improved on it. What are we doing?
  39. We just do not have enough pitching to compete realistically
