  1. Was there today. It was Comiskey at its best. Great atmosphere
  2. So they won 22-1, and then 2-1. Tomorrow they have to win 222-1. Good luck.
  3. ......Why would they try? Perez is literally the worst everyday player in the league right now. He's at -1.5 fWAR already, with the next worse player is a full point better. Absolutely no reason to give a declining 51 wRC+ player any ABs at DH or 1B on this team, and whatever good his framing does is erased by...everything else. Getting him for free would be an overpay.
  4. Ron was right about someone getting beaned but it was KC beaning their own guy in the nuts
  5. That's 10 straight home series wins for your first place Chicago White Sox! 7th walkoff win, with a different hero for each one. 4 have been by rookies (Ant, Peters, Braden, Gonzo). Also a 7th win against KC, clinching the season series at 7-2 with 4 more to play. 5 over at the halfway point. 68.3% win rate at home.
  6. Great win. Pitching was elite and bats did enough. Sign of a good team winning different ways.
  7. I just called Ishbia and he predicts 13-2 Sox because he thinks they'll be a little tired.
  8. Probably not likely but I’d love to go after Wacha
  9. Here's our draft profile from FutureSox: https://www.futuresox.net/2026/06/27/2026-mlb-draft-profile-roch-cholowsky/ 40 hit is insane. This isn't even worth debating with you at this point.
  10. Do you some of you just not remember the beat downs the Sox got the last few years? Who cares about hurt feelings for the ROYALS.
  11. Your first place Chicago White Sox are 42-38. They have surpassed 2024's win total just before the halfway point of 2026 After going 4-22 vs. KC over the previous two seasons, they are now 6-2 with a chance to clinch the season series with another win this weekend. Sandlin was very solid in his return, the only blip was the control lapse after a long wait in the dugout. The pitch mix tweaks he made in the minors seem effective, with more targeted curveball usage and more cutters after the first time through. Hopefully the offense keeps up for the rest of the series and they build some confidence to take on the road. The fact that they tagged multiple pitchers in multiple innings and not just one guy having an off day is a good sign. The outburst also rocketed them up to the T-2 best run differential in the AL. Elsewhere, DET and MIN both had blowout wins and CLE lost 3-1. Records since May 25: CWS: 16-12 DET: 14-14 MIN: 12-17 KC: 12-18 CLE: 10-17 (!!!) Would be good timing for a hot streak with the potential for Mune's return to lengthen it.
  12. It's getting to the point where i get extremely disappointed if they DONT come back. What a luxury it is at home to expect this.
  13. If this team could just figure out how to win on the road, they would be scary.
  14. Only saw the 9th. This team is awesome, love this for Jacob.
  15. For once Bobby Witt Jr couldn't pull some magic out of his ass to screw us.
  16. Highlight of the game.
  17. Yeah, clearly you can’t be rational on this subject. A 40 hit grade for someone with Roch’s contact, hard hit, & barrel rates is simply laughable. A 50 grade on power is also a joke given his HR output, his 90th percentile & max EVs, and what every single talent evaluator has said about the kid. I get his speed isn’t great but a 40 grade feels very intentional to further devalue the prospect. It’s totally fine if you prefer Lackey, but these Roch takes are absolute garbage. And you can’t even comment on Lackey’s home/road splits…lol. Again, may or may not be a big deal, but something of interest that I figured you’d have some take on.
  18. 22 is a good start but i'd like to see 30 today to break the all time franchise record
  19. fwiw royals broadcast had no problem with it either. RBI is used in arb cases, if he hadn't challenged I'd be pissed at Will.
  20. I was out last night so I just watched the highlights. That was fun! Jacob Gonzalez looked like he had some good at bats which is exactly what we needed out of him. Chase bouncing back is good too.
  21. On the TV broadcast, Stoney addressed this directly by saying that Venable challenged the call to reward Vargas's hustle down the line and nothing more. He even said that those watching may be wondering why challenge but that when the team is playing so hard even when the outcome is almost certain that the manager has to reward that kind of behavior.
  22. This unwritten rule s%*# that comes with professional sports is so stupid. Like should Venable actively tell players to tank their stats so the Royals don’t get some hurt feelings? I guarantee the guys loved Venable for challenging that horrific double play call last night.
  23. Who cares? The real story is still the Athletic survey that said some players heard bad things about the Sox from guys who played here a few years ago.
  24. Turns out fans will come to see a team that plays good baseball. Who would have thought?
  25. 12th time the Sox trailed in the 7th inning or later and won the game.
  26. Hey people, don’t forget the great job by Taylor!
  27. Looks like Jerry was wrong again!
  28. JR got the score right, but got the winner wrong.
  29. Not what I expected when folks fretted about a KC pitcher drilling someone, oof.
  30. I’m sorry but I can’t stop laughing at that.
  31. Davis Martin probably in there, cursing under his breath about 22 runs last night...
  32. Sam, Vargas, Beni, Colson, Chase, Braden, Peters, Gonzo, Romo. Sox smart to rest Teel today imo. He did some good running last night, was a good early test and let him recover now.
  33. He should be, but I think Sandlin is better than Fedde right now.
  34. There's nothing for you to agree or disagree with. The average batting average in MLB right now is .239. It's just math.
  35. Fans paid good money to see the best the players have to offer...not just go through the motions of finishing a lopsided game.
  36. Those were the daze before the bidets When Colas roamed the field in a haze
  37. So glad that Teel hit a HR and seems to be getting untracked. Peters... well damn ! Gonzo on his way to a Robin Ventura like resurgence after his 0-26 slump, now 5 for his last 8.
  38. How's that run diff lookin @caulfield12 @Look at Ray Ray Run
  39. I don't know what is wrong with all these people that want to turn Antonacci into a platoon player, but they should get checked out professionally.
