  1. Jacob Gonzalez 2 run HR vs the Guardians.
  2. Gonzalez helping us out by hitting a bomb to put PIT ahead of CLE 2-0.
  3. Eisert gave up 3 the next inning. He still sucks.
  4. Happy "Same Lineup, Third Game in a Row" Day, for those who celebrate.
  5. WE, this is why people don’t take you seriously, just like @ron883 said. Yes, Getz has made a lot of good moves but you are literally acting like he has been infallible, which simply is not the case. The Cease trade was fucking cow dung. You know it and everyone knows it. No need to cuck for the guy. Preller held Getzy over a barrel and whispered in his ear that he was his daddy. It was basically the opposite of the James Shields trade. Also, I wouldn’t mind if they had Jake McCarthy right now over 275 plate appearances from Dominic Fletcher. Most of his moves lately have been good to great so perhaps he wised up with experience.
  6. You gotta give to get. Getz has been giving and getting in his last few trades. Yes there is downside risk, but it also opens up teams willing to deal with you as a FO. If you're always just jerking other clubs around it's not ideal to getting things done and certain GMs do get reps. Look at the Mead trade. Boston is now a top 100 type prospect and Meade looks like a solid super utility guy. We had no room for him or Gonzo sadly, that's just how it goes, at least we didn't lose them for nothing.
  7. Great way to start the second half, now it’s time to start breaking away from the field and build a nice lead in the standings.

Carlson 3 hits in his return to action.
  9. Looks like he gets to play alongside your boy toy instead.
  10. Not when you haven't been able to for years.
  11. Gonzo going yard for the Pirates and helping us out against Cleveland.
  12. If a tree falls on an uninhabited island and there’s no one around, does it matter what time it fell?
  13. Great job coming out of the break with a win. Need to get Davis Martin back on track now. Let’s take the series before we even reach Sunday.
  14. Most of the guys you named can’t even get on the field and Zavala can’t even put up a .700 OPS in AA.
  15. As soon as Ray Ray declared him the greatest defensive SS in baseball history, cracks started getting exposed. He’s a good defensive SS no doubt, but second best in baseball always felt like a stretch.
  16. God Gonzalez is a fucking stud…I love what we did in the draft, but would rather have Jacob over Landon and our 5th round pick.
  17. I've already turned the page on my favorite rap-star, Snoop Personn
  18. Just one, unless you are calling another one in game 2 of the doubleheader
  19. Never a bad time to root for a Cleveland loss
  20. About time Mune got untracked too wouldn't you say ? Bomb time !
  21. Wonder if Thorpe touched 103 in his first start in Arizona?
  22. When a team is good, it’s because of the players. When a team is bad, the manager sucks. It reminds me of football. When a play works, great execution by the players. When a play gets stuffed, horrible play call.
  23. Is this serious? The Bears showed up all season last year on prime time lol

He is still very young - going to take more time until his body develops.
  25. Dan's got the rally polo on. 6-0 road trip incoming!
  26. Teams should be punished for not planning these things well.
  27. Is this standard or savings Baker Time?

  29. Get Martin back on track and finally reach 7 games above .500. Today is the day ! This must be like the 5th time the Sox have got there and couldn't break the barrier. It happens today !
  30. Hey, I actually have access to this one on the app I pay for! What a concept haha. Hoping the break did wonders for Davis who looked like he needed some rest and some work on his mechanics. Let's go!
  31. Good points by Beefloaf 1 - He was able to maneuver around the man the front office wanted to play CF (Luisangel Acuna) into the man he knew he wanted to play CF Tristan Peters, without much issue. I was calling Peters his teacher's pet, but Will knew best. 2 - Andrew Benintendi a veteran had to take a reduced role, no longer an everyday player, no longer a position player basically at this point, just a DH by handedness and I haven't heard a single gripe about this during the season. 3. Anthony Kay - opener situation didn't quite work, so he adjusted back towards the player's wants of starting the games and Kay has been a nice solid addition. 4. Munetaka Murakami and what has been an unprecedented media circus around the Chicago White Sox 5. Bryan Hudson - He took a guy who was waiver bait and quickly saw he was shoving and elevated him to a top leverage guy 6. Sam Antonacci totally getting rushed to the majors but Venable easing him into the lineup, easing his transition into LF from 2b, not benching him for some goofy ass moves on the base paths....letting him learn on the job 7. Mike Vasil being assigned the role of ELITE VIBES GUY in the dugout 8. Managing up and down (management and player) to get Seranthony Dominguez out of the closer role. That was the guy the FO brought in to do the role so he had to left him fail just enough in the role to ultimately get his way of using players opportunistically in the role
  32. Didn't smell smoke and it looks pretty clear here, so I think I'm okay in that regard. If not I had a good run for the most part.
  33. Leave the guy alone, he is jawmaxxing
  34. Got the lawn mowed and I feel half melted right now. Going to sit on the couch and let my body solidify again until game time. I picture myself like this
  35. Seems pretty apparent he is going to win manager of the year to me.
  36. To be fair, Fuller deserves a ton of credit for Mead’s season. Last year they sent him away with a clear plan: stop being a tweener. Bulk up and look to hit for damage. They gave him swing fixes to achieve that. Mead was blocked, out of options, and played in the WBC so the Sox didn’t get a full look at the results of those changes. Also, Boston Smith is not a terrible outcome.
  37. If they get second half Shane Smith from last year, they don’t need Singer or Detmers. Personally, I love Detmers, but not at the cost of two really high first rounders.
  38. Back to season high 6 games over. See if they can break the hump tomorrow and go over that.
  39. Nice way to start a road trip that's for sure.
  40. Schweitzer got that win, after throwing over 50 pitches.
  41. All rookie outfield is pretty fun
  42. Can I be honest? I’m a C Montgomery fan but I HATE how he chews gum! That guys jaws have to ache!
  43. 2 points
I still don't quite know what to make of Boston Smith.
