  1. I can only speak for myself in this matter but all I care about is what he does for the White Sox. Period, end of story. Anything else is of little to no concern of mine. I don't care where he's from, what businesses he owns, what his political feelings are or what religion he is. If he's willing to invest the time and most importantly the money to reverse the rot that has infused in this franchise from top to bottom over the last almost 20 years, I'm all for the guy 100%...no make that 110%
  2. If we happened to meet them in October, I'm more worried about the Yankees starting pitching to be honest.
  3. We've been to 7 games this year including tonight.....We've seen 4 walk offs.
  4. Grichuk and Beni, the 2 old pros have been our unsung heroes with lots of clutch hitting.
  5. It is laughable that you think Jerry Reinsdorf, Mr PE Real Estate King himself, isn't 110% on board with this if it is happening under his watch. He'll I am waiting for Ludacris himself to pop out and confirm.
  6. 5 points
  7. feeeee-male friendly environment yup. love us females here.
  8. Right before he swung, I asked myself if Roger’s had a hit with the Sox yet. And then, I just didn’t care anymore
  9. Oddly enough, it's not the first time the Sox went B2B2B off a LHP pitching for a New York team on August 21 at home. And the last time ended up being a preeeetty good year for them... 👀
  10. The best use of a Schriffen is American Ninja Warriors announcer. Let him get up there with his yeah buddys and out yell those two bozos.
  11. Enron was memorable. The Titanic was memorable. John Wayne Gacy was memorable.
  12. Yeah, that was a big gripe of mine. Having the extra 10-15m (whatever it is after Dominguez) that we have to pay Castillo sucks when our owner is a cheap bastard.
  13. Castillo is doing worse than the guys he replaced and has overexposed the bullpen, Brazoban has been their worst reliever and Doyle has been worse than the guys he replaced. I don’t know how anyone could argue they’ve been a better team with these guys on them.
  14. Christ sorry I’m out of the game thread. Get a fucking grip guys. I’m going to hang out with purse girl.
  15. Thank goodness this was our gem of the trade deadline. I’d hate to think where we’d be if we didn’t have Castillo.
  16. In the end the Amtrak maintenance yard property is getting sold and relocated with or without Ishbia's involvement.
  17. We need to go like 8-2 over a stretch and just put this thing to bed barring a massive collapse. That would put us 12 over .500 with like 25 to play. Just playing .500 would easily win the division from that point and probably 2-3 under would as well. Start by winning today. Mets aren't a dangerous team, they are a little hot, but they don't really have a balanced lineup or much pitching. That Yan guy stinks and he's one of their highest leverage arms right now. Just get into the pen, tack a few more on, and win like 6-4 again.
  18. My observation is that at 20, everybody wants to hear what you think about anything. You're young, your viewpoint is interesting in that it's a fresh take on something. At 40, nobody really wants to hear it, but they'll let you finish out of respect, then get back to what they were talking about. At 60, they just talk over you, like, "Oh, I couldn't imagine even you were interested in what you had to say, so I just started talking." I'll report back in 17 years what 80 is like. I don't expect it to get better.
  19. Reading that, I am happy that Raja lost that Senate race.
  20. Aaron Judge most likely out for the year the AL playoffs are wide open #whynotus #believe #yeahhhhhhbuddddy
  21. We should have binders full of them.
  22. Sox had all of the 10 farthest hit balls in this game (and all were hit 97+)
  23. Fun story...i was on a plane to Iceland and we get 15 minutes of wifi for free...i turned it on in the top of the 6th inning when they were down 4-0 and then the wifi ran out...but I knew they were gonna come back. That is why i love the '26 White Sox.
  24. Gonna piss off a lot on here, but at least he’s made some of these catch phrases memorable. Our previous announcer didn’t.
  25. Everything with him is forced. He's trying to hard I think because he knows he's disliked and lacks credibility with a lot of the fan base.
  26. A little bit of premature e-jump-ulation from Yan last night. Mr Rogers jumped all over an 0-1 fastball and sent us home happy. Spark we needed to jump start a hot streak. Castillo vs. Scott
  27. COME ON BOYS - LOTS OF GAME LEFT! TAKE THIS SERIES TODAY!!!
  28. The haters said he couldn't do it. And they were correct. Honestly, great call from the haters.
  29. The guy leads the entire minors in OPS, and he isn't even old for his level. Mason Adams looks ready to be a backend starter, and they gave up a DSL lottery ticket too. The problem with the trades have always been that Getz acquired fucking awful players. Nobody would have an issue if Getz got players that weren't garbage. Is Doyle even a more productive player than Mason Adams at this point? Lord knows we could use a starting pitcher to eat innings.
  30. Nice inning. Exactly what was needed.
  31. Let them continue to act like this is the worst season of all time and everything the team has done is bullshit and teams that are under 500 are going to somehow get good (while the Sox are fucking dogshit) or they call you the board police.
  32. We actively got worse at the deadline somehow.
  33. Really hope he finds a consistent power stroke. He could be so damn good if he does.
  34. Boneheads like you will find any reason to complain about a development. You're never going to make everybody happy. They're replacing an industrial property with a similar industrial property. The pollution from it is literally a drop in the bucket compared to vehicular traffic from major streets. It reminds me of the people that were furious about the Lincoln Yards development. The developers were remediating heavily contaminated former Final Steel + multiple other industrial properties and replacing it with commercial/residential, and possibly an entertainment venue, and people were bitching about it.
  35. "We didn't have radio to call into back in my day. We yelled out the window over the hanging wash at our neighbors. "
  36. Also, I don’t think anyone here ( including me ) has really properly appreciated Grich and what he’s meant for our team.
  37. What did this billionaire do at the trade deadline to fund (in his way to borrow/finance) acquisition of two pitchers at the trade deadline to help this team? This is ALL about the billionaire. Watch how much it costs to get to the train yard, buy tickets and concessions.
  38. Yeah I read the tweet earlier and then had Judge in my head instead of Stanton. Getting those two lugheads confused.
  39. We gotta get her on soxtalk, a female friendly environment.
  40. Schiff didn't even know who Bill Veeck was or how to pronounce his name. You can enjoy him if you like, but stop making stuff up.
  41. Schriffen is only good at judging SlamBall dunks.
  42. That’s my first walk-off. 2-1 on the season. What a fun game!
  43. 3 points
Imagining Bonemer and Roch slugging alongside Murakami-Vargas-Colson is such a wonderful thought.
  44. First they fired Bernstein (also a Sox fan) then Mully? It does seem like they're out for Sox fans. Ricketts is putting pressure on the radio station of the Cubs!
