  1. The real tragic irony of tray all is that Reinsdorf was the one to initiate the whole push towards the 78 and wanted public funding to build the whole stadium
  2. The reality is the playoffs have already started for the Sox. They have to play and manage all 9 of these just like that is the case. And if they do make the playoffs having to play with that pressure to just get there will definitely help them.
  3. How about a stress free 8-1 victory where we can just sit back, relax and scoreboard watch!
  4. They turn Sears into a Willis tonight. Sox win comfortably.
  5. I can. It was a good start but was far from over
  6. can you guys stfu and respond to the game instead of whatever the f*** else ur bickering about?
  7. Yeah this game fucking sucks
  8. WE DID IT! KEEP EM ROLLIN WITH MORE W'S
  9. Not making the postseason would be awful given the way the first 4 months went. No one was expecting a World Series team, but a ton of momentum has come to a screeching halt
  10. Getz Billy Carlson, Mason Adams, and Boston Smith probably could have netted a legitimate starter at the deadline. That would be sparing the bullpen right now and we could trust Taylor, Newcomb, etc. Venable has made wild decisions, but the staff is held together with duct tape
  11. I don’t blame Venable for this one. As I said earlier, this was a deadline loss.
  12. this is 100 pct on Getz
  13. “Money doesn’t buy championships” is true. Money buys talent, depth, player development, analytics, and the ability to survive expensive mistakes. You can still lose in October. You’re just much better equipped to get there.
  14. The public meeting got a lot of coverage in the local news, but I don't see how that changes Amtrak's ability to move forward on this project. It's all on railroad property, impacts will be less than when it operated as a freight yard, and they don't need city approval. I know the loudest opponents get the most attention, but I bet more people in Chicago than not are in favor of improved Amtrak service thanks to a huge federal grant, a privately-financed new Sox ballpark, and a new Northwestern Medical campus.
  15. I wish I could watch these games on tv but for the last couple weeks ive found it spiking my blood pressure to watch the boys. Any tips on enjoying these games? Its just a sport I know
  16. Remember that Friday night game in June when the offense exploded for 22 runs against KC? I think they should do that again tonight.
  17. I have never read so many words that amounted to absolute nonsense in my entire life. Seek help. The public doesn't own the current ballpark. The ISFA does. All the current ballpark does is cost taxpayers money. What the f*** are you even talking about? P.S. Reinsdorf has had decades to do those things. Why hasn't he done anything?

This organization has definitely take some big steps forward this year after the last three seasons. But, at the end of the day, it's still a 2nd rate organization where people who have questionable qualifications get put into key leadership positions. Unfortunately, this isn't going to change until at least when Jerry Reinsdorf is no longer in control of this franchise.
  19. This team overachieving and then achieving nothing noteworthy at the end would be so disappointing. Especially because they collapsed so badly in September. The AL is as weak as ever. 82 wins probably gets you a wild card spot. Not even getting that when you entered September with 70+ wins is an absolute disaster. I don't care what the preseason expectations are. When you collapse that badly at the end, it's hard to look at a season fondly.
  20. We aren’t Detroit fans so who cares?
  21. No team grabs defeat from the jaws of victory in crunch time like the White Sox
  22. Agreed. If he gets credit for acquiring players like Vargas and Peters and the team doing better than expected this season, he should also have to eat s%*# for one of the worst trade deadlines in MLB history. And no, it’s not too early to judge those deadline trades. His acquisitions haven’t done jack squat for this season, which is the exact purpose of deadline trades. They have made the team worse.
  23. I’m not so sure. Some poster said that the Sox historically choke in September, while the Guardians actually play better when they are down and out and take the division. He got s%*# on for that post, but it doesn’t seem so crazy now…
  24. This is where even a bad Castillo should have been able to give you 6 innings, 4 runs. Instead, he’s just wasting a roster spot.
  25. Half those runs were scored off tigers errors. The offense went got 1 hit from the 4th inning on and went 1-2-3 in the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th inning with 6ks in those ABs. The offense rolled over. Not excusing the pitching staff but the offense disappeared after the 3rd inning

Congrats Jerry on getting a 1 month interest free loan from me!
  27. This is a season ending technical knock out. We all knew this was coming. Call the parlor. This team is toast. Not that I haven’t been saying this for a few weeks. Total failure on Venable and Getz’s part. Have no mercy. Call it when it is. A total disgrace that cannot and should not be tolerated. Management heads must roll.
  28. Yeah it’s the GM’s fault
  29. This organization is a joke. Getz nice bullpen. 8-2 lead at home.
  30. You had a boner watching high school boys?

I love a photo that you can just hear the second you see it
  32. If we wind up blowing this game, it might be the death knell.
  33. Need 5-6 from david and I would pitch Castillo for the rest I'm going to duck now
  34. Miggy, miggy, miggy, can't you see your swings just hypnotize me!!
  35. Doyle becoming a nice asset.
  36. The documentary about Tommy Pham saving this team and catapulting them to the World Series is going to be crazy.
  37. The most 2 outs damage we've seen from this offense in a long time
  38. And what parade are the Sox having this year? Or last year? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? Oh right, this is how far I have to go back to get to the 1 in our lifetime. Then I can add 88 more Or the year before that's to get to the next one.
  39. His positioning wasn't the problem. He had a 86% chance at making the play. His route was the problem. That's all instincts and practice. He's a middle infielder learning LF and this is what happens.
  40. We also start three rookies and many 2nd and 3rd year players every night. This is not a vet group. These games are priceless for getting them all experience in a pennant race.
  41. f*** yeah. They're so much better than the new ones I forgot how much I loved those.
  42. Got it. Chase SS Ant 2B (probably not a popular opinion but we just had Pham here yesterday, I think we can survive with his .340 OBP against lefties here. Also, wanted to break up the glut of lefties I would have had at the bottom) Vargas 3B Grichuk LF Mune 1B Pham DH (wanted to put him 5th, but trying to break up the lefties) Peters RF Doyle CF Teel (has been drawing a lot of walks lately despite not really hitting so put him here to flip lineup over) Just put up a bunch of runs early and let's just worry about defense the last half of the game
  43. Go with (lefty on the mound): C Teel 1B Mune 2B Ant 3B Vargas SS Chase LF Grichuk CF Doyle (hit him 9th) RF Peters DH Pham Acuna and Braden can enter the game later for defense. I'll figure out how to line them up shortly haha
  44. Tonight is an important game in this series. If you win tonight then you are set up nicely to take 3 of 4 OR even sweep. On top of that we are facing a rookie who has 16 innings under his belt. We need to hit this kid around. It was great to see Mune have a good game yesterday......let's see if he can build on yesterday.
  45. I am going to need an AED next to the lazy boy at the ready for these games.
  46. "Stop Amtrak's railyard so it can stay as UP's railyard!"
  47. White Sox Triple with less than 2 outs:
