Once Getz made the decision not to trade Robert, he must have also discussed picking up Robert’s option and it was approved by Jerry. Otherwise, you would simply trade Robert for whatever you could get, even if the return sucked. Plus, the payroll is still so low, even after Robert’s $20 million option.
