He took a route that wasnt 100% efficient but he has good speed and really had no wasted movement in. On balls hit right at you in center, you will naturally take a rounded route because of the angle the ball is coming at you. Was it a perfect route? No. Was it a route that a lot of centerfielders including big leaguers take to that ball? Absolutely.

Bingo, vile hoopster is dead wrong here. Eloy’s bat will be very good. His defense sucks and costs runs. He gets injured playing LF with his glove on his head. Therefore, why wouldn’t you want him to DH?

No stat will ever convince me of that, having watched most of his games. He is awful. Misreads the ball off the bat, takes poor routes to the ball, obviously has no quickness or makeup speed to get to a ball that he has already misplayed, and has the worst outfield arm in the majors. He is a DH, period. And that’s fine, at least he won’t injure himself in the outfield again. Two times is enough for one season.
