You have a team you expect to win the division, and instead it loses 100 games. How does this dope not get fired? He is a huge part of clearing the stench.6 points

Small consolation but at least Cub fans can't gloat given their team choked away an almost sure playoff spot by collapsing the last three weeks.3 points

Expect to be highly disappointed. We will see Grifol in the dugout next season. That’s totally White Sox.2 points

I can’t wait until this brilliant baseball GM gets to choose his own coach this offseason. Only an absolute idiot would have Pedro Grifol as his manager, no quality baseball person would have this guy coach for him in the first place, and this season made replacing him the easiest decision that any true baseball guy could ever make. I can’t wait to see who Getz uses as his coach next year, it has to be a massive upgrade over Grifol since Getz is a true baseball person.2 points

And, they got nothing for Burger. Just an old pitcher who couldn't pitch in AA who now is going to the Arizona Fall League as a 25 year old. The trade is so stupid. I'm still shaking my head in confusion and disgust.2 points

Congrats Reinsdorf. You owe something to the fans. This season was an utter disgrace. The Chicago White Sox were unwatchable, thus 100 losses. Somehow you have two big leaguers among your everyday players (Robert, Anderson) and you have one MLB pitcher among your everyday pitchers (Clevinger). Cease was a joke this season,. And you have nobody who would be considered an exceptional fielder. Maybe one in Robert. You owe an apology to any fan who paid for tickets for five or more games. You should get them free parking passes at the minimum for next season. The White Sox cannot play modern baseball, that is for sure. They won't draw walks at the plate. Their lift angle while trying to hit HRs every at bat is not acceptable. They do a nice job of waving at strike three in the dirt though. And their defense is abysmal. Everyone involved with the organization deserves a grade of F. 100 losses. Wow.2 points

It's amazing how many managers are going to be available/fired, and yet Pedro Grifol has the job security of a Supreme Court Justice. Btw, isn't Counsell gonna end up on the Mets?2 points

Is this the worst era of Chicago sports in history? I'd say it pretty much has to be. Bears are the worst team in the NFL, White Sox and Bulls both near the bottom. Blackhawks sucked last season. Don't know how it could get much worse. Think I need to find some new hobbies because following Chicago sports is a lost cause. None of the owners seem to give a rip1 point

1900 was the last year at least one professional Chicago Sports Team (Baseball, Basketball, Football, Ice Hockey, Soccer) did not finish over .500. Yep finally this miserable season is over. Wish I could say I was looking forward to next season. We shall see what the winter meetings bring but I’m not to confident they will do muck to improve. There are so many holes I don’t see us more than 70 wins next year.1 point

Personally I wanted this game to go like 20 innings. I like watching the Sox even if they’re losers. They’re still our losers. And it means the regular season is over, that’s kinda sad.1 point

How could he - they literally didn’t let him do much other than hand it off. Fields played excellent today.1 point
-
Fields overall played really well. That fumble that Denver took for the TD is kind of hard to pin on him, as soon as he turned around, there was a defender in his grill so I'm giving him a pass on that one. The INT was apparently a miscommunication, according to Kmet...and yes, Fields still holds on to the ball way to long, he needs to make decisions quicker. I pin this loss more on the HC than anyone else, his defense still can't stop anyone when it matters, and that going for it instead of kicking the FG was dumb and even dumber was the play call on 4th down.1 point
-
Denver figured something out after that 4th TD. Fields didn't get many open looks in the last few drives.1 point
-
Reality says he needs to be moved from owning a sports franchise.1 point

Ok, you guys got your 100 losses. As a fan, I personally do not understand rooting for that, but ok. Whatever floats your boat. I am pretty sure that magic 100# does little to nothing in the thinking of Jerry Reinsdorf and what he does moving forward.1 point

Except most accidental discharges (assuming it was one) occur in places where it is legal to have a firearm, here is it illegal to have a gun at GRF in the first place. Also, this isn’t an accidental discharge situation in the confines of the home where the risk of collateral damage is small, someone easily could have been killed based on the amount of people in the area. This isn’t some accidental discharge situation where the only potential victim is the negligent gun owner.1 point

Kapler would be an awful hire. The guy covered up sexual assault when he was with the Dodgers. I'm good. https://www.theringer.com/mlb/2019/2/6/18213283/gabe-kapler-los-angeles-dodgers-philadelphia-phillies1 point

This really is a be careful what you wish for moment. Truth of the matter is that the Cubs are way more talented than the Marlins. They've got guys like Bellinger that have a great track record in the playoffs. You really don't want to tempt fate and try to lose on purpose just to play these guys again next week. Yeah the Marlins are playing better, but the playoffs are a different animal. And not to mention if they just give them these 3 games, the Cubs gain some confidence and think they can beat the Brewers. Like I said, they're a talented team, probably just as talented as this Milwaukee team if you look at run differential. Just because they're down now doesn't mean that's what'll happen next week.1 point
