  1. Just keeps getting worse annd worse. He would be leading our team in average, hrs, rbis right now. He now has 11 HRs in his last 17 games. Not too mention he is the best clubhouse guy we had. And we traded him for a middle of the road prospect coming back from injury. How many years of control did we have?
  2. Just because he would be the best we would have doesn't mean he is actually good.
  3. 4.2 oWAR in the last 1.5 years. 57 HRs and 132 rbis. I will take that. I would say the numbers show he is actually good. He had 4 years of control left. Why trade him? He was going into his supposed prime years. Without the missed omit time this year he might hit 40hrs. And he makes 750k this year
  4. Grady 1000% better than Grifol on interview. Seems like a real, likeable guy not just a guy BSing his way through.
  5. Michael Kopech in an interview after his immaculate inning quite literally told reporters he hadn't been listening to coaching. He needed to go no matter what he did after he left.
  6. Totally fair. What are the chances we actually get a qualified expensive guy though?
  7. Vaughn and Sheets got four hits vs. the Yankees. I'm happy for them. Vaughn creeping close to .250. No matter how disappointing they've been they deserve credit for hitting tonight. Congrats to them. Sheets went the other way. Gavin ... might consider doing that a lot more. You pelted three shots to left for doubles I believe. It's OK to go the other way and get some multi hit games. Nice win. Yankees got bludgeoned really.
  8. Kopech in his last 5 games with the Sox: 5.2 IP, 0.00 ERA, 1H, 1BB, 8K and an immaculate inning. It's almost like he just has good stuff.
  9. No, and not even because he can’t stay healthy. Eloy is at -0.3 WAR. I would be surprised if the Orioles pick up his $16.5 million dollar option. He will likely be a free agent. Meanwhile, Burger is earning $760K with 4 more years of control.
  10. No need or place for Burger. Sox have their reliable everyday third baseman in Yoan and his multi-million dollar contract. What could possibly go wrong?
  11. Burger’s OPS is now up to .775 on the season and his career OPS is at .798. Meanwhile, Eder has an ERA over 6 in Charlotte and we pray that Vargas can sniff Burger’s numbers.
  12. He’s an above average slugger, I actually enjoyed watching him hit. With that said, cashing him in wasn’t a bad idea, it’s just the guy they got just hasn’t put it together in a long time.
  13. We're 30 WAR away from being competitive. Give me loud tools guys in the minors over some 1 WAR scrub that is "MLB ready" every day of the week!
  14. Vargas rocking a wRC+ of 22 in a Sox uni. He fits right in.
  15. A 12-2 destruction of the Yankees just like we all planned
  16. Everything I have heard is that there will be a change on the international front. Seems the same in terms of the hitting approach - hopefully Getz can hire some good people and can do what it takes to get funds earmarked to be invested in these areas (I'm personally fine if it comes at the cost of the major league payroll - long term success will come from hiring good people and investing an infastructure all along the development curve.
  17. The only thing he has going for him is that he's not a Sox lifer. I'm not against him as a caretaker for next year but we need to do a real search. Not that I have any hope of one.
  18. Hey man let’s just keep hiring the unqualified cheap guys. Maybe there is something to it, as it has worked so well for us up til now
  19. I agree that Kopech was a head case but bottom line is the White Sox just don’t hire the best Managers, GMs coaches and scouts not only at the Major league level and also the Minor League. I would bet that Robert, Eloy, Vaughn, Sheets and Benintendi would have all been better hitters with good coaching along with the right analytics. Of course it goes back to to Ebeneezer Reinsdorf who won’t spend the money to bring winning baseball to the Southside.
  20. Fatigued from swinging at crap in the LH batter’s box?
  21. Yep, I thought the same after his postgame interview after the almost comeback against the Cubs on Friday. Gotta respect him potentially eating the worst record in history record just for an opportunity to get his foot in the door and manage a big league club.
  22. And for the record, Schiff did manage to get in s%*# talking of Maddog too.
  23. “Look, we’re not going to be in the Soto race, I’ll tell you that right now. I’ll tell you that.”
  24. So we still got Wild Card
  25. Do not understand batting Lopez instead of Fletcher after what Fletcher did last night.
  26. Leone and Shaw are definitely better than Cousins
  27. team is so much more confident since Grifol got bounced outta town
  28. Paging Dr. @WestEddy !
  29. I hope he hits a fourth and embarrasses these mofos.
  30. lmao high fiving ellard after giving up a 480 ft blast, well done kid, attaboy
  31. I swear he needs an eye examination...as well as other examinations but dang...it just looks like he is not seeing any pitch at all!
  32. Sadly, would never happen
  33. ahahahahahahaha... Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
  34. Open up the check book and hand him a blank check Jerry.
  35. Stone: Goes over detailed mechanics of the pitchers delivery style. Schriffin: He's wearing Gucci spikes!
  36. So was I, when everything was down 3% intraday
  37. Look out below George Kirby fantasy owners. Also, if Andrew Vaughn starts out 0-1 or 0-2, every single member of the active roster will be at a 700 ops or below.

When I was in the electronics industry Bally was my largest customer while nearly every version of Pac-Man was being built. I was a "game tester" and they would send a game to my house. I had to give them back eventually but it was a sweet deal. Most of my friends saw Professor Pac-Man for the first time in my basement.

Nastrini retired his first 10 in order before Torkelson ambushed a first pitch FB for a solo shot. He's looked good otherwise through 4IP, mixing pitches well and velo maybe up a tick from his last few outings.
  40. I will be happy if they don’t settle for the first guy they picked who just happened to be a guy in the minors in his first full season doing anything like this.

One of the guys at the Hockey House in college (early-/mid-2000's) had a Bubble Hockey setup: It wasn't this version obviously, but he scored it when his local rink that he worked in closed down, and the owner told him he could grab the arcade games. Good times.
