The 78 makes so much sense. This is a stupid idea.8 points

They just need to sell beer for a couple of hours to the 50 people or so who showed up. Then they will call it.5 points

When you can trade for 32-year-old relievers with a limited track record of success for a rebuilding team, how can you say no?3 points

It was obvious he was dismissing the account by his tone. People can try and excuse it any way they want but he has once again stepped in dog crap that any half decent broadcaster would avoid.3 points

Granted I follow the White Sox closer than anyone, but it feels like they revel in their ignorance while other organizations look for things like this as an edge. We are trying to recreate the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers, meanwhile the 2025 Dodgers version runs laps around us as one of our guys reads pitching for dummies.3 points

Fvk Ishbia. Some treat him like some sort of potential savior of the franchise . Oh sure, he is going to do you as a fan some sort of favor by casting aside personal gain and private equity principles to gamble money on enormous player contracts. You think he is some kind of gaddamn fool? How did his probing for a majority ownership stake work out for Minnesota fans? In reality this guy is just looking for another deal to make himself wealthier. As Americans, we should all know by now that immense greed is a disease that spreads quickly among the billionaire class. You know a lot of these guys by name.2 points

Wow game over already. Waiting for the game to start took a nap and it was in the 9th inning already lol.2 points

But unlike you, his hand is on the trigger and not himself to Getz pron.2 points

Start Baldwin at SS, Sosa at 2B, and let Amaya keep the bench warm until Rojas returns. Tauchman replaces Jankowski so Venable can’t play his buddy anymore.2 points

"You can not sit here" heard on the broadcast with 50 fans sitting in the rain. Stay classy Sox ushers2 points

At least the team was quick to slap Sox fans in the face with a dose of reality before getting anyone’s hopes up any longer.2 points

I'm on the record that they won't hit 50 wins, talent wise, this is probably the worst roster of my lifetime2 points

Hasn't that been on the table for weeks at this point? Wasn't he one of the 6 - Thorpe, Berroa, Bush, Carela, Larson and Adams?2 points

Schriffen is the little kid that runs around with a pair of scissors, even though his parents warn him not to, and then he falls and ends up stabbing himself.2 points

It's honestly disgusting listening to billionaires lie and mislead. This is like buying a house for 200k, spending 200k, selling it for 3 million and saying you lost 200k on renovations. He bought the team for 285 million and sold it for 3.5 billion. If he lost 133 million a year he'd have broken even and and we know he didn't lose 133 million a year.2 points

False! There's at least one! I grew up in AH/BG, and my mom still lives there and she's a fan lol.2 points

Hey look I was right yet again. I will take my apology from you guys here just like Rob did from John. Thanks in advance.2 points

Not only that but Jankowski best position is RF and taylor has rarely played there in his career. These types of moves and decisions drive me nuts. It's spitting in the face of the data based on some stupid personal feeling/opinion.2 points

Exactly, and it doesn’t really matter what Schriffen intended. Friedman, Bannister, and Sox fans watching the game all interpreted it as if he was bashing PitchingNinja by the way he said it, along with his tone. He even laughed when he said it.2 points
-
Perhaps because he was specifically referring to pitching ninja rather than Twitter itself2 points

I'm convinced JR deliberately dumped Bennetti and hoisted Schriffen on us as a deliberate Rachel Phelpsian FU to Sox fans, in part of some nefarious scheme to devalue the Sox, from which he somehow benefits1 point

He called Benintendi Baldwin yesterday. I wish the White Sox wouldn't use him for descriptions of White Sox games. iMO, he's a goner after this year. They are getting everyone used to McKnight.1 point

I wish they had gone with anyone else. Even going with no one would be better than this.1 point

It doesn't even make sense. Why would you not get info from him? He posts nasty pitches on Twitter. He is acting like he is giving advice that he doesn't agree with.1 point
-
It’s just how he condescendingly and confidently says he will NOT be getting info from pitching ninja1 point

I love how Brooke Fletcher talked about PitchingNinja all excitedly (whether she was just faking it or not) and Schriffen craps on it by laughing and saying he wouldn’t look at it. 🤣 The Schriff-dog is too cool for school. I would have expected Hawk to respond this way if he was still broadcasting and then revert to highlighting the accuracy of TWTW over PitchingNinja.1 point
-
It’s like he feels he needs to beef with someone or something in order to be heard. It’s the weirdest fucking thing, I have never heard of Pitching Ninja pissing anyone off or being a part of a controversy. You would think Rob kicked his dog, the way he phrased that1 point
