  1. Enjoy the Teel bandwagon. As soon as he ties a couple of 0-4's together, you'll be jumping off and bragging you always knew he was garbage.

HR Colson. 98 mph fastball turns it around at 111.
  3. Pre AZ work (AAA statline): 23 G, .149/.223/.255, .479 OPS, 6.8 BB%, 41.7 K%, .106 ISO, .229 BABIP, .225 wOBA, 20 wRC+ Post AZ work (AAA): 29 G, .270/.349/.550, .899 OPS, 8.7 BB%, 28.6 K%, .279 ISO, .343 BABIP, .390 wOBA, 125 wRC+ The ACL tune-up games are omitted bc who cares about those, but it's a significant improvement over the absolute train wreck he was in the early going. Hopefully he can sustain the success without HBPs getting in the way.

    Another Colson HR.

  6. It’s fucking frustrating that Michael A Taylor is the best CF on a roster that includes Luis Robert

These are both crazy. Schultz is fine. It's a new baseball and he's not using his entire repertoire by design. I don't care about the results in Charlotte at all. It is an issue that he didn't get any innings though. That's the priority. He'll finish the year in the majors.
  8. You're welcome all. I did my best to reverse mush this and it's been beautiful!
  9. You said he was a bust I'm saying he won't be thats all. We might not know the final results for 5 years. Just saying if you're going to kick a guy while he's down after getting hit by pitches in hand and kneecap then I can praise him while he's hot. I already know that the majors is the true test of any minor leaguer Capt. Obvious. They try to keep guys like you out of Future Sox for a reason. It's supposed to be a place that supports the process that development isn't linear patient approach instead of being too negative about prospects.
  10. Annnnnnnnd 2 more homers today. He is on an absolute tear
  11. Vargas is sitting at 1.8 WAR.
  12. Has easily surpassed Eloy and Moncada as my least favorite of the last era. What a waste of talent.
  13. Leasure has a big arm- he's just wild. Way too soon to throw him away. Are any of these infielders (Sosa, Montgomery, even Gonzalez, whomever) athletic enough to play some OF? OF is where we have zilch arriving anytime soon.

I feel like he’s just old enough now where it makes sense to start his clock on seeing how good MLB pitching is. If he’s gonna take a while to adjust, let’s just start the process.
  15. Wish Colson the best but he is mostly a distraction. He needs to show up next spring and claim his job.
  16. Welcome to Soxtalk
  17. Looks like I was right Friday, Sat. and Sunday are all their highest win totals and best win percentages. 4-7 Thursday might be a better win percentage than 5-9 Sat and Sunday unless your stats didn't count the last 2 days.
  18. More Chris Getz scouting magic:
  19. If Charlotte stats were all that mattered at ages 23/24, Baldwin would be the most discussed player in the minors with his near Bondsian 1.162 OPS. Just like with Baldwin, no one is buying until they prove they can hit in the majors.
  20. But he was declared a bust by a few people recently.Damn the experts here are worse than Getz 😋
  21. They both look so agile and quick out there. But coming off of Vaughn, I would look smooth doing it.
  22. Just a note, both Noda and Elko are very good defensively, a shame they can’t hit.
  23. There was a balk called in every game this series, right? How often does that happen?
  24. Absolutely, it would be insanity for JR to do so which was my point. He's not doing it and frankly even if Robert put together a mediocre season (which for him would be an improvement) there's no way he'd allow it, not with the labor situation and the possibility (probability?) that he's going to order Getz to cut payroll again next year.
  25. Whatever. You'll be back on the Vargas bandwagon after the next 3 game hitting streak and acting like he's your boy-eee.
  26. Venable manages like these are all ST games. Why is Gilbert pitching in a game with the lead in the 8th inning?
  27. Gilbert looks really bad right now
  28. At this point I doubt they even trade him. He's been terrible what value could they possibly get from him.
  29. Noda going yard today.
  30. I bet Verlander gets straight today
  31. He throws a lot of cockshots

Taylor is on a significant innings limit and they determined that pitching in relief in majors was better long-term than him making 3 inning starts in minors. Schultz will be in the big league rotation in 2026. He needs innings. I don’t know that AAA is necessary but the Sox believe it is.
  33. you can ignore yourself? Like I said go easy on yourself
  34. 1 point
They have not been checking. However I anticipate that game may sellout and if that's the case they may. Just keep that in mind.
  35. Colson with another 3 hits tonight including a double and triple. That's 8 hits in the last 3 games including 2 HR's 2 doubles and a triple. Thank you to the posters for declaring him a bust/cooked, the anti-jinx was just what the doctor ordered!
  36. We must be looking at 2 different things. Catcher was in the base path . He stepped into foul territory without the ball. Intentional or not he caused the runner to alter his path wider than it should have been which was why he couldn't reach the plate.
  37. You know it's possible after looking at it on the post game show Taylor did have to go around the catcher because he did have a foot in foul territory before he had the ball. If I was Venable I would've challenged that play based on interpretation of the blocking home rule . Nothing to lose at that point in the game. A runner going full speed canot change direction in the middle of a slide nor correct his running path once the catcher steps into foul territory. He had to go around the catcher . The only question is how they interpret the rule which usually says something about having the ball before you block the plate, which he did not .
  38. I will be. I'm clicking on "ignore".
  39. You mean because they're going to trade him? OMFG!!! ROTFLMFAO!!!! That's a good one!!!!
  40. until the trade deadline
  41. Wow, a 1-0 win. Well played ballgame except with the boner by M.Taylor. Let's win the series tomorrow.
  42. Man Sizemore looks like he still could play
  43. G. Taylor rocks. Love they kept him out there for both innings.
  44. The Davis Martin propaganda there
  45. can the broadcast stop calling taylor "mariano rivera" after his like 40th pitch in the majors it's so embarrassing to listen to
  46. The JR owned White Sox are a terrible organization but how can you blame the organization for what that cretin said.
  47. Kenny had a good run, ring and all. Getz is learning on the fly and is shopping at the Dollar Store. I like some of his moves, let's see what he can get for Robert jr.
