  1. I'll start my first and last game thread just so I can say... Sox fans should come together to overwhelm the stadium and media with "We want Justin" chants and merch.
  2. The bottom rendering looks a bit like old photos of the outside of Comiskey Park.
  3. Ingress/egress? Dirt clods on highways? Unprecedented environmental devastation on a scale out of only a Stephen King or Cormac McCarthy novel?
  4. From the renderings, it looks like the ballpark is still on the 78 site, and the Amtrak site has the ballpark village. Also looks like there's a pedestrian bridge that says "Welcome to the home of the Sox."
  5. Should be a good series. Boys will feel right at home playing in a AAA stadium.
  6. I know they are just renderings and will more than likely not be what it actually looks like, but the small piece of the outside we can see looks cool as hell.
  7. So like if/when Dominguez continues to suck can we say this trade is even dumber now? Or does this work only one way because you're trying to defend it in a weird way?
  8. To me it was the start of the complete clown show of an organization. Hiring LaRussa was the worst decision this organization made in the last 10-15 years and I think it just put us even more behind. We clearly had the talent to capitalize on and it just all went to s%*#. Hinch would have gotten way more out of that group. Tigers were in a much worse position when he took that job and has helped right that ship.
  9. Why can't you just let Martin keep pitching?

94.4mph, 341 feet Charlotte special, but I'll allow it
  11. This is so cool, especially when the Bears are probably leaving the city core. If the Sox pull this off they will create something special in that neighorhood. I feel for the old neighborhood but from my half a dozen or so trips to the Cell it never really stood out. I just remember a lot of parking lots, some residential and some fairly low density commercial otherwise and the stadium was just sorta dumped into it almost.

I'm still here Ray.....I'm positive most days this team will find a way to lose.
  13. For sure. Trading Semien and Bassitt plus Tatis for basically nothing should also factor in this timeline. The Sox were trying to build sustained success with no LATAM or Asian pipeline, no top end free agents, and little help coming from their drafts. It's not surprising just trading for a bunch of top prospects and doing the bare minimum everywhere else wasn't sustainable, and ended up bottoming out as the worst team of all time.
  14. Good guy BMont
  15. For me it all started with hiring Robin, which kinda set the course to where we are today. Winning is not a priority.
  16. Emerson has been my guy for weeks so I would be A ok with the White Sox picking that kid. You just have to hope they can and trust their development process.
  17. It could change but I doubt quickly. You don't revamp a billion dollar organization overnight no matter who the owner is.
  18. Hey!!! Their Pythagorean WL percentage says they should have five wins. Who do you think is responsible for that extra win if not the manager? He should be in the MOTY conversation.
  19. I heard that this morning and also was very interested in his take on the Rate deal, and he correctly called it bad for everyone but Jerry
  20. You said it right here. Losing is ingrained. Just like winning is ingrained in Los Angeles and New York. Success begets success. And losing......well...
  21. I was thinking about this today, and this goes back to the Hahn era how often, seemingly constantly every player the Sox acquire, joins the club and falls flat on their face. It's really uncanny. Part of this, I think, is because of very poor talent evaluators at the major and minor league levels and part of it, I honestly think, is because these guys come to the franchise, see how incompetewnt and dysfunctional it is and it just plays with their heads and screws up their performance. I mean losing is ingrained in this franchise and it has got to impact players, especially those who come from a solid winning organization.
  22. Just got home, as the world seemed to be ending with the storm. That Mune slam was awesome.
