  1. Me and @joejoesox are done with this team. f*** them.
  2. People complain about the lineup literally every time we face a LHP and the team continues to be among the best vs. LHP.
  3. I don’t even think that’s the issue. Meidroth & Hill are both really good against LHP and Quero was last year. The problem is Acuna is fucking terrible in general, Sam is still developing against LHP, and Gonzalez should probably be a platoon bat (at least to start). Can’t really afford to start all three of them plus a below average, but semi competent bat in Benintendi. Really need Periera back ASAP to push one of them out of the lineup against LHP.
  4. Peters has played gold glove defense. Offensively he has hit close to .300 and many of those hits have been in clutch situations. Vargas is hitting clutch bombs and hits all the while playing gold glove defense.. This team is more than I expected.
  5. Montgomery, Vargas, and Muni are opening up eyes. Martin will start getting some love along with Taylor. The grinders, Meidroth & Sam, are on the radar screen and will get noticed. The Sox are a very likable team from Venable on down, no A hole drama queens.
  6. Greg bet his house one too many times on this site. He’s living in a motel and leaching off the public WiFi from the McDonald’s next door in Lawrence, Kansas.
  7. Based on projections, they probably have an opportunity to get ahold of one of them, unless they can convince one to push other teams off with a bigger bonus to get picked lower with some savings from the #1 pick.
  8. Biggest needs right now are a TOR starter, RP depth, and a CF (although Peters is doing a fine job). I think we can augment the bullpen at the deadline for a low cost. A legit SP or CF, however, will be way too expensive and we should wait until the offseason to address (and hopefully in free agency). Selling should only happen if this team completely collapses between now and the end of July. And even then, it’s not like we have a ton of vets on short term deals. Maybe Kay and a couple of relievers go? Not going to get a ton though and there is probably a lot of risk in pissing off the clubhouse. Honestly, I’m hoping we can stay in the thick of things and be soft buyers.
  9. Dogshit game. Might be tough avoiding the sweep.
  10. Defense lost this one more than anything else. Find a way to salvage the series tomorrow before a much needed off day.
  11. They gotta swap out Nishida for a right handed hitter. This team is way too left handed heavy.
  12. That's what taking Murakami out of the lineup does. Puts more pressure on everyone else.
  13. It's nights like tonight when the lineup reminds you they are still a bit away.
  14. Still scratching my head with Venable decisions
  15. Minnesota people are super nice and don’t chant anything mean spirited
  16. Sometimes a team loses two in a row to a team. It’ll be okay. They’ve bounced back every single time. And if you want to be worried about the upcoming schedule you are a wiener who isn’t ready for them to be good and play meaningful games again.
  17. 2 games in a row where Venable leaves his starter in too long.
  18. Schriffen says it’s a beautiful night as the camera man shows four smokeshows in the crowd. Broadcast is improving…
  19. The 5 boneheads better be buying Davis expensive dinners this week
  20. Bunting there makes zero sense, why? He's had control issues all inning!
  21. We need to score a crooked number here. At least 3.
  22. 2 points
Nice job by Mason Adams today. He went 3 very good innings and hit 48 pitches for the Dash.
  23. Seriously. Until he starts showing success in the high minors, people need to pretend he doesn't exist.

I'll take someone at The Score over @KatePerrysLooseButthole or @BartolosColostomyBag
  25. I'm waiting for Jacob Gonazelz to prove he belongs here. Maybe today will be the day.
  26. As the initial complainer i'll be the first to say they'll probably still surprise us. Calling a 7-1 win with a Quero HR
  27. That is quite the lineup. Goodness. I'd rather punt some games against the Dodgers when Fedde is going but what do I know. The way will has pushed the buttons this year probably get 6 more runs today.
  28. I hate the idea of picking a catcher high. 150 games >> than 120 games. PLUS the annual wear and tear. Not many make it a long time. No he can't catch 120 and then CF for 30 - catchers need a break all together. NOW, if they thought he actually can move off C and go full time as a plus CF, then I am certainly way more open to the idea. Otherwise I am all Roch still.
  29. Fine platoon OF. You'd prefer him to be a backup on a deep team but can get away with him in CF in a platoon hitting like 9th on a good, healthy team.
  30. No rush to do anything imo. Just enjoy the ride.
  31. Push him right to the OF like Harper
  32. Draft Lackey and split his time at C and CF. Game over!
  33. People are fans of the Chicago White Sox, not the Chicago Reinsdorfs.

  35. Standing up straighter is the correct answer. Kiley was mistaken.
  36. Pair of fours for Sandy and a Golden Sombrero for Gonzo. Sandelin should get one more start, but he will probably be on a shorter leash. Gonzo needs to hit a few bombs.
  37. Can't win em all. Davis has been a good stopper let's tie it up tomorrow.
  38. Colson has to find a way to have more consistent at bats
  39. I wonder if Schriff blew a dube for Prince live. Stone certainly smoked some Green for CSN.
  40. Hopefully this is one of those tough learning lesson type of days for Gonzo. Impressively ugly sombrero today.
  41. South Side Stand Up! South Side STAND UP!!!1
  42. Ishbia has already had an impact on this year's team. First, it is fairly well known that he has purchased a substantial amount of the team (albeit non controlling shares). He definitely owns more of the team on a straight equity basis versus Reinsdorf. This is to say that his investment in the Sox is solid whereas he never invested a dime in the Twins. Second, I have no proof but the fact that the Sox signed Murakami and the fact that Ishbia told a fan that Murakami would never leave "not on my watch" suggests some tangential involvement with the team. I can't imagine that Reinsdorf and Ishbia do not have some sort of relationship / dialogue. Third, I believe that one only need look at how the Ishbias are running the Suns (as already pointed out in this thread) to understand what is coming for the Sox. They may not win but they sure try. The only difference between the Suns and the Sox will be the inversion of how much each brother owns with Justin owning more than Matt in the Sox. All that said, the Sox look to have built a decent foundation ahead of whenever it is that Ishbia takes over and that is a good thing for us now AND later so I don't know how anyone can be complaining. As for a new stadium, let the forces above us that we cannot control sort that out but I have high hopes that the final outcome will be a good one for our beloved franchise. It sure looks like it will be in and around the sites discussed ad nauseum in this thread.
