Currently at 3.0 fWAR on the season, which is a 4.3 win season pace. That fWAR ranks 2nd overall on the team behind Vargas and is the best in the AL amongst all 2B. His 121 wRC+ ranks 2nd overall amongst AL 2B. Yes, a lot of blue on his Statcast page, but don’t ignore that 87th percentile squared up rate. There is a reason this kid has 11 bombs already despite below average raw power. He’s an intelligent hitter who has two elite skills and still trying to find the appropriate trade-offs to optimize his output. He’s currently ranked in the 92nd percentile for OAA and is constantly making great plays out there. Him and Colson are absolutely fantastic at turning double plays. In the event of injury, the kid could slide over to SS and give you average defense there. He is heady player who does the small things on the field that make a big difference. The kid is also the heart & soul of the team. He plays the game with an intensity second only to Pyscho Sam. Every time there is a big moment he’s the first one out there to celebrate with his teammates. To say he brings the fire would be an understatement. His role in the clubhouse is a key part of this team exceeding expectations this year. Ultimately this kid is an absolute stud. Hands down Chase is my favorite player on this roster and last night’s clutch performance only cemented that for me. At this point, it’s not Meidroth who should be worried about Roch’s eventual arrival. IMO, he should be our starting 2B for the next five years and I could give two fucks if the haters disagree.
  2. That was a nail biter, playoff atmosphere ball game. I am proud of the fight the Sox put up, I love this team.
  3. You're insufferable. I'd probably shrug it off and laugh honestly.
  4. Can we complain about another easy out from catching spot? It’s amazing
  5. Sadly this is why this topic—which would have been treated as totally ridiculous conspiracy theorizing in the pre-Astros era—is something you have to consider. MLB incentivized cheating with its flaccid response to the Astros scandal. I’m surprised we haven’t seen it more, and I sadly will never dismiss cheating allegations out of hand again.
  6. Are the White Sox cheating?!?! They were projected to win 64 games and they're on pace to win in the mid 80's with a plus plus offense!!
  7. I know I'm in the minority here, but that Gonzalez trade was stupid. If you were going to trade him, trade him for pitching to help this team now and throw in Boston Smith in that deal to get someone to help for this playoff push.
  8. The username checks out.
  9. Show us your boobies brooke for good luck
  10. You have to get over this. Sox get their fair share also, especially Antonacci
  11. Cleveland must be cheating too
  12. her shoulders? damn, i thought i was down bad
  13. What you do in your free time is up to you
  14. Thanks for nothing Getz. Also, for the love of god fire Bannister
  15. Schultz going to shove tonight. I got a feeling!
  16. Fine. Cleveland is cheating.
  17. I never make game threads or grade trades, just so I can say I told you so later. It’s a sound strategy and something only a supervillain like me could think of.
  18. Speaking of players cheating, what do you want to bet that Quero slipped that pitcher who hit Bart on the hands a 20?
  19. this board makes it hard to be a white sox fan sometimes.
  20. This is an incredible thread. Sox get swept, so the other team must be cheating. Brazoban throws his sinker low in the zone because that's where sinkers go, guy goes down and gets it... cheating. I'm having a hard time understanding the logic here. Struggling to understand how it's cheating to be looking for a low sinker from a sinker baller who throws 51% sinkers and hitting it.

Can someone tell me where Billy the Kid fits in his family treee?
  22. Has nothing to do with praising or liking the trade. I totally understand not liking the trade or thinking they should've done something more or different. Be honest in the assessment though. Not mentioning Seranthony Dominguez is disingenuous. They took on Castillo's money but they got rid of Dominguez and his salary within the scope of the deal. It's like $12-13 million for Castillo in 2027 essentially and he'd probably get close to that on the open market still. Keith Law didn't write it. It was someone named Johnny Flores Jr. I couldn't find him or I would've tagged him.
  23. Apparently so is every other team the Red Sox have played for the last 36 games.
  24. Schultz vs. Messick Last night was a heartbreaker, but today is a new day. Sox are still the only team yet to lose more than 3 in a row so let's keep that rolling. Should be a big crowd tonight, and tomorrow has been sold out for a while already. 16 of the next 19 games are in Chicago with the only travel being a quick trip to Detroit. Perfect opportunity to gain some ground
  25. I’ve expressed how unimpressed I am with our manager before and now I’m wondering if it’s panning out that he’s actually incompetent.
  26. The whole we haven’t lost 4 in a row all year stat kinda means nothing when the team hasn’t won more than 5 in a row all season.
  27. Just come out of the closet already. We won't judge you.
  28. you're wrong, she's perfect
  29. Stop grading trades.
  30. Venable not coaching these guys on how to avoid wasting challenges is also very infuriating.
  31. STOP BURNING FUCKING CHALLENGES IN THE FIRST DAMN INNING
  32. Yep. All the bats being hot resulted in the team overperforming and made Venable look better than he is. Venable sucks.
  33. Meidroth is the best 2B the Sox have had in a long time.
  34. Kudos to Meidroth for that play. Kudos to Sandlin for having to abruptly go out there and getting the job done.
  35. Don't think i'm winning Fanduel tonight
  36. This is exactly what they deserve only getting 1 pitcher at the deadline. Put Fedde back in the rotation and send Schultz back to AAA
  37. Can't get anything past you Ron
  38. Not having Attonacci in the daily lineup going forward (I know he needs a day off once in a while) is ludicrous. Lower octane begets lower results. Pulling out a spark plug is asinine.
  39. Or maybe just a janitor
  40. 3 points
  41. No Attonacci again, Venable has to stop this lefty-righty nonsense, I guess he didn’t learn a damn thing from last night when he ran out of position players about halfway through the game when Romo replaced Bart.
  42. What are you talking about man? The direct quote originated from Bart and it was along these lines: “KT brought it up. He saw something and once he was able to start calling out pitches as they came, he knew there was some tipping. That’s when he brought it over to me and Davis.” That is in a completely different universe from what you’re attempting to invent. You’re just pulling s%*# out of your ass for some reason.
  43. Or you’re just making connections that simply don’t exist in order to be negative and critical.
  44. Are you insinuating that I tweeted that because the team told me to? I was watching the game and Boston reminds me of the Astros while they were cheating right now. That's it. That's the whole story. I have no idea whether Davis Martin was actually tipping pitches or not. The White Sox likely wouldn't see Boston again until the ALCS potentially though so none of this really matters.
  45. Me and @WhiteSox2023 have a special relationship that allows us to joke with with each other. We are online buds. I would never besmirch his character unless he really needed to hear it
  46. I think he was right to do that, hopefully after whatever happens with the labor stuff, JR doesn't f*** it up again. But as some point, the broadcast has to give the audience some credit. Yesterday, they made it seem like Castillo would be competing for Cys while he was getting lit up, just as he has been all season.
  47. I used to audit company’s networks in the Chicagoland area. Numerous companies had security camera systems management portals accessible on the Internet with defaulted admin credentials.
  48. this board, man… Cleveland just burned through 3 games against one of the weakest opponents on their schedule. Got swept. Twins playing 3 against the lowly Royals and lose 2 of 3. Sox, on the other hand, just rolled through the hardest part of their schedule and went 5-6 against TB, NYY, and BOS. We lost half a game while going through our toughest stretch. And yall bitching about it? Crazy.
