Magic # went down every day this weekend. Just gotta win and take care of Cleveland ourselves.

My God if Teel can get back to form

This broadcast beats the f*** out of what we get with Schriff

Will likes Edgar over Doyle, says a lot about that transaction

He looked at the renderings with a much more critical eye than all of us amateurs

YEAAAA BUDDY

I pulled out my lucky 2008 Division Championship cap for this one....you're welcome Soxtalk.

Grichuk just a masterclass by Getz. Exec of the year.

oh man that call from Matt gave me chills and a little watery eyed. That was awesome

Edgar is actually a decent PH option against lefties. Edgar was one of their better hitters last year. He struggled this year but you could see him starting to turn the corner before they sent him down.

This inning is “YEAH BUDDY”-worthy.

Grichuk was a damn good pick up.

Imagine pitching around someone to get to Randal the Vandal.

I hate this offense man, 3 guys go up trying to hit it to the Dan Ryan when you just need a fucking base hit, infuriating

I think it would be really cool if they built/dedicated some sort of Sox history museum and also incorporated ballpark tours into the new stadium. There’s so much cool history about the team that could be shared with the public. I’ve found in my various ballpark visits that tours are my favorite way to learn about the teams. It helps you feel more connected.

Yeah I believe it. He's kind of a shill for Getz/the current front office now, so I think he's got reliable sources with the team currently.

Great win. Enjoy your Labor Day boys

Good win. I too enjoy the radio team. Scriffen is getting on my nerves lately

That broadcast was a joy to listen to. I hope we can get a better pbp guy next season.

And of course a great trivia question... May, may be the only player to have his birthday on the back of his uniform as he was born on "May 17th!"

Nicer that a bulk of the runs weren't home run dependent. They haven't been able to string together hits the last week and a half/ two weeks. Slug has kept them afloat.

A great way to head into a much, much needed off day. 🤩

Good to see the offense finally explode late in the game. We really needed a laugher like this.

Another series win keep it rolling

Teel needed that bad!

after last night . this game was really needed.

WE’LL TAKE IT!!!! Crickets now from the whining crowd. GIVE US THAT TWO RUN BOMB NOW COLSON!!!

You're a monster, Mr. Grich

Good job Mune! Sam with a great game

Gentlemen. No fighting in the war room.

Then go away.

Smith is fucking nasty

Early in the year, Stoney said he didn’t want Meidroth swinging for home runs, but instead doing what got him to the majors: taking pitches and walks and making contact. Then he hit those homers, like around the Boston series, and his power seemed real and helpful, and Stoney stopped staying that. But now Stoney is looking very correct. During September Meidroth is killing the Sox with whiffs, it seems especially with RISP.

Damn it, if the Sox were even average at situational hitting, they would easily be up a couple of runs rn

I've literally stopped watching these games live because of how clueless they look every single game, makes you question the coaching and scouting/analytics, or if these young kids even listen to the coaching at all. that Meidroth and Vargas AB looked like the most ego driven trash I've seen in a while

🙂 I do have to give you kudos for being consistent (and no I'm not being sarcastic...)

SWEEP THE CENTRAL CAMPAIGN RESTARTS TODAY!!!!!

Luck always plays a roll in success however luck is the residue of design. If you do enough while planning to succeed it makes it easier to succeed. He's hired quality people all helping him make decisions and has 3 players in the starting lineup from 1 trade, Do you actually think he makes decisions in a vacuum ? How many times to you have to hear all their executives saying it's a collaborative effort to believe it ? Murakami fell into their lap but the Sox could've done like other bad teams and went with the prevailing thought on him. They didn't. The Sox hadn't even been involved in the Japanese market for a Japanese player in 20 years if you don't count Fukodome's time with the Sox since he was already an MLB player. Aren't there enough threads about Getz to post in without ruining a game thread and whining before the game starts ? Toxtalk strikes again while the team is in 1st place. Go White Sox !

Maybe it was just a favor to Venable to get Pham an MLB paycheck before he retired. We have no idea about the inner workings or inside info on Pham's life. Maybe someone dear to him is very ill and he could use the MLB insurance plan. I really don't think you know what you think you know as is the case with most fans. And if Getz actually made a mistake then he quickly fixed it . Don't see a problem.

What a surprise that the 38 year old Pham is already injured.

Because being a White Sox fan for 65 seasons I have low standards. I "enjoy" when they have a winning season (win at least 82 games) and at least until 2007 they did that pretty regularly especially of course in the 1950's and 1960's. I absolutely am a cynic, JR's ownership and the incompetence of the organization has only increased that. But as I've stated before the Sox have been a part of my life since I was very young and there's something to be said for loyalty. Plus Ishbia is comin and hopefully I'm still alive to see a better run franchise. Also I'm not miserable at all and you've got some gall making that comment. I've got what I need in life, have a loving wife and family, had a wonderful career in broadcasting and outside of the rotator cuff surgery (still in a sling) have my health. Basically you can kiss my ass.

After listening to that I think the thread title needs changed. The 78 is dead but the railyard is alive. Boyer really has been pushing that they could put another stadium on the 78 but Ishbia has other plans close by. Ishbia seems to be moving fast as well. 2030 or 31 possibly as when it. Could be completed.

I love the wall on the river and the iron works look on the rest. It’s a long way from proof to the real thing but this would be an absolute gem in the city

This team is a trainwreck hopefully the baseball gods decide to give us postseason baseball anyway. We need a real manager not sleepy Will.

Looked to see how pissed off Tray would be and it didn't disappoint.

Let's hope JR stays out of this stadium design.

Agree, The 78 is history, the Bears clown show deserves a separate thread, The Rail Yard also deserves a separate thread.

Team needs to be resilient again because tomorrow feels like a must win....it isn't of course but it feels like it.

Thanks for the poll. Are you able to add an option to vote for a retractable roof as opposed to a dome?
