I don’t think there are many teams that have the depth to overcome what the Sox are dealing with injury and under-performance wise. Okay, but the thing is, not every player is going to be good ALL season long. I remember Konerko saying that if you regularly have 3 good months in a baseball season, you are a good player. The trick is to have enough players that can play at a high caliber level that can pick up the struggling guys. BECAUSE of the injuries, almost half this starting lineup regularly are AAA players... The Indians’ injuries won’t allow a White Flag season, nor can or should it, but it seems they’re just going to have to be satisfied with hopefully making the playoffs and then getting some reinforcements for 2022-23 simply by spending money, since trade capital is slim and none. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
