  1. I'm prone to hyperbole and hysteria but let me say this is the worst broadcast in history of MLB.

  2. Getting this thread out there extra early. Let's get this streak up to 4 games tonight. Boston has a worse record than we do at 10-16 and they've lost the last 2. VV pitching for our Sox coming off a strong outing, hopefully that continues. Won't be a walk in the park for our bats as their Sox are throwing Eovaldi out there. Game tonight is on Apple TV, as far as I understand it, all you need to do is create an account, but to watch should be free. You do not need to subscribe to apple tv plus. Hopefully we get a better broadcast than the last game... LET'S GOOOOO

  3. Old man yells at cloud moment coming: Streaming sucks for Live sports. For three innings, just out of habit, I changed the channel to hockey after each half inning. Then I had to immediately go back to Apple TV and start up the stream again, and still missed a couple pitches. I know I'm old, but I appreciate cable for how quickly I can flip back and forth for live TV. Movies/TV Shows are different, no commercials means leave it on and enjoy. Live sports with ads, I'm just used to being able to quickly change to something else, then come back in 2 minutes without any slowness. Sorry for the Abe Simpson moment.

  7. Again, there is no professional American sport that makes it more difficult for people to view their favorite teams than Major League Baseball.

  8. Just keep this bit up. It worked out great for the Sox at Wrigley where they were lucky to get one, per you.

  11. That was one hell of a play by Burger. But Jose hasn't come up with 2 pretty easy picks.

  12. And Engel did it against a RH. Stop playing Sheets

  13. It looked like he didn't have good command today and he still got out of the inning against their best hitters without any damage. Everything's coming up Milhouse for Matt Foster.

  14. Nothing ever tops the "OH NOOOO" from Chris Berman when Graffanino let the ground ball go through his legs.

  16. Yeah this umpire is trash. One percentile in terms of consistency. 6 percentile in favor. This is gonna be a horribly umpired game. https://umpscorecards.com/single_umpire/?name=Chris Conroy

  22. Walton and Benetti was amusing for the first 3-4 innings even. Making ARod and Jessica Mendoza look like Harwell and Scully.

  23. Can you imagine if Boston came back this game. The announcers may literally cum on live tv.

  24. We've been begging all night (and season) for this team to score some insurance runs. I'm just happy they finally got one.

  25. I'd much rather have Leury with hip superior defense instead of Sheets out there.

  31. We might have something in him. I say promote him to the big team and see what happens.

  32. I wasn't which is why I was happy they used a 2nd on him instead of a 1st but you still have to give all these guys time. The low minors are developmental leagues. You don't know what they're working on that night so it's not fair to just look at the stat line. Let them develop and figure things out.

  33. When Vaughn is back he needs to DH every day and play Engel in the outfield full time. Even if Engel doesn't hit, he gives you good defensive value.

  34. With all due respect to him and Dalquist, they need to prove to me I should care about following them closely again.

  36. I have MLB.TV, I live in Michigan, and it STILL won't let me watch Chicago baseball games on my phone. It actually lets me watch Detroit games and I "shouldn't" be able to watch those. I've called multiple times and no one has been able to figure it out for me. Now, it's not a huge deal because I got it free through T-Mobile, and I use my mom's YouTube TV account to watch pretty much all of the games on NBCSC, but if I didn't have that option I'd either be A) pissed or B) watching through shitty illegal reddit streams, or C) both. Most likely C. It's just incredibly ridiculous.

  41. But I jumped through all the hoops Manfred set up for me and figured out how to stream each of the games for myself! That doesn't remotely address whether it's fair or good to force fans to jump through these hoops in the first place. But it does show that I'm very smart, very tech savvy, and a very good boy.

  42. They both will require paid subscriptions later in the season. I think there should be a limit of one game per series that can be picked up by a streaming service.

  43. Lenyn Sosa in 23 games at the pitchers park in AA has 4 HRs and a .936 OPS while being fairly young for AA (22 years old). The guy has always adjusted and hit. I saw the fangraphs prospect rankings that questioned his athleticism and ability to stay at SS. Regardless, it's exciting to see the guy do this well. Seems like he'll have a future as a utility player, at least.

  44. That's how we fix Bummer. He needs to pitch in the 9th. He just can't get up for 8th inning no matter how high the leverage.
