What they really need is new ownership and then everything that trickles down because of it9 points

His arm isn’t good but the ball was very shallow. He had the ball way before Harrison even touched third.6 points
-
You run on Benintendi every chance you get. He made a throw earlier this year that didn't even make it to the catcher. He has a 20 arm but somehow uncorked a good throw there. It was a good send.6 points

So, to be clear. Vaughn, Robert, Anderson, and Moncada all need rest frequently or something. Abreu, Grandal, Harrison, Pollock, and Garica need to play every game. The first group is young, contains probably your best four hitters at the moment and, in Robert and Vaughn's case, developing still. The second group is old, kinda sucks at the moment, and has dudes with injury concerns.6 points

Jerry is the root of all of the problems in the organization. This is spot on.5 points

Of all of the hills to die on, protecting Tony's sack is a choice.5 points

Any key in this forum getting annoyed by all the proclamations that no Sox fans knew who Davis Martin was until the last day or two?5 points

The better version of this should be "I knew my career was over when I saw Rick Hahn calling"5 points

This is probably one of the dumber threads in recent memory.4 points

I’d rather watch Amber Heard shit on my bed than listen to Gordon Beckham.4 points

Kopech had another kid? Quick turnaround from the divorce, hope he's in a better place.4 points

Moncada/TA can't play two games. Garcia/Harrison have to play two games. Chess not checkers.4 points

Midway and stay downtown or river north. Don't let people's fears scare you off of a good time.4 points

And that's coming from a Manager who won a World Series coaching the Sox and as a 3B coach for the World Series winning Marlins.3 points

Must be nice not to have your left fielder play lefty hitters on the warning track3 points

Wasn't a dumb send. Benintendi's arm is not good. Just got a good throw that time. The way this team is hitting, rather chance that with 2 outs.3 points

Don't get me wrong, TLR sucks. Teflon Hahn needs a metric shit ton more flak.3 points
-
The core is flawed. TLR is making it worse, but this is Hahn's fault more than TLR. I despise the TLR hire and him too.3 points
-
Well he deserves plenty of the blame. He’s an awful manager at this point. It’s really not even debatable.3 points
-
Just don't understand how the FO can sit back after 36 games of an offense that is truly offensive and make no moves. Whether that is players or coaches. How do they let this clown ? TLR run lineups out there that are constructed so poorly? Does anyone give a fuck or we letting TLR run this into the ground because Fat boy Jerry felt like he owed him something. Beyond frustrating3 points

Watching the rebuild was a lot easier to watch than this shit show. Face it the rebuild is over and it has failed, we are getting worse not better. Last years playoffs exposed this team and there's been zero improvement since except for adding more receivers who can't locate the plate.3 points

They need to fire Menechino and everyone who is in charge of the hitting side of things. Its that bad3 points

Sox bring up some random guy to start, he goes 5 and gives up only one run, and he's going to get an L because of this lineup. And I'm not even blaming Tony for resting TA and Jose, the rest of the hitters need to step up.3 points
-
I'm sure Martin doesn't care about getting a win, it's a meaningless stat after all. But it would mean a lot to his mom. Let's score some runs for the guy.3 points

Love listening to Benetti talk about the value teams get from optimized lineup construction or shifts when the Sox manager is Tony LaRussa3 points

Just attacking guys, especially with first pitch strikes. Don't think I've ever seen a pitcher making his ML debut with us who has looked this aggressive against MLB hitters.3 points

That doesn't make his production any less valuable... imagine watching the Sox lineup this year and thinking walks aren't ridiculously important/valuable.3 points

Lol. Do not come to Chicago in order to enjoy all that Rosemont has to offer. What the hell am I reading in this thread?!3 points

Good: Some production from the middle of our lineup. Bad: We've reached our max run output of 3 runs ?3 points

There is a difference. There was literally no plausible time in the last four seasons for the Sox to trade Carlos Rodon. The QO is a completely different discussion.3 points
-
Again, this is not the same as trading him. Those are two completely different things.3 points

It's absolutely criminal that Ozzie hasn't gotten another managing gig2 points
-
I am by no means trying to defend TLR here because some of his lineups are ridiculous, but when that many guys have bad numbers, it's on the players. Any lineup you put out there will have a handful of guys with horrible numbers because we have been horrible offensively this year.2 points
-
Any competent outfielder catches that ball. It's a poorly constructed roster being managed by a guy who got passed by decades ago.2 points
