Mike Clevinger was, is and will continue to be a piece of s%*# He pitched well today8 points

For real, let's look at some positives: Moncada seems to have carried over his WBC play. The outfield defense went from looking horrendous the past two years to ... something we can possibly be confident in? 45 hits in a 4 game series! Dylan fuckin' Cease man. Lynn, Giolito, and Clevinger all put the team in position to win. Team is leading the league doubles - we're no longer singles power only. I'll give Grifol more time to figure out the bullpen than a four game set to start the season against the Astros. Right now, things feel good.8 points

Or else you'll be here to remind us that you can laugh at everything and remind us how terrible they are.7 points

Series split @ Houston is nothing but a W. Yoan is hitting and Yaz has a pulse. Clevinger looked good. Cease looked like a Cy candidate and Lucas was solid. Pen and situational hitting needs work, but that’s a start all of us should be pleased with.5 points

Offense is ok, but can’t go through the season with base loaded and no outs and come up empty. Yes, it will happen from time to time but twice in a game cannot and shouldn’t happen.5 points

I don’t know about everyone else but I perform my job better when I have a good boss4 points

I get it. He's not Mike Trout, and we all wish he was. But the Robert ire after 4 games is extreme. Guy's hitting .294 with a homer and a double in this game. It's clear he's not seeing the ball well yet and he's still being productive, while playing a good cf. He is the least of their problems.4 points

Sox have lead in all four games, at least I think we lead yesterday at some point. That seems like a positive trend to start the season. Keep getting the lead. Eventually the bullpen will come through (fingers crossed emoji).4 points

I might be wrong...but after a quick look at 2022 lineups, I think we've already surpassed in the opening series the number of games where all five of TA7, Eloy, Yaz, Yo, and Luis started in the entirety of last year. As far as I can tell, this happened exactly twice last year: on 8/4-5, games 105 and 106, vs Texas. And they were both with post-wrist injury Robert, and still not fully healthy Yaz/Yo. TA would suffer his hand injury in game 107, the last of the series. It might actually be impossible to overstate how much injury decimated this squad last year.3 points

Let's not forget the other clutch run-saving catch from our second Cuban outfielder, by the way!3 points

I think if you offered us a split in Houston, everyone would have taken this.3 points

Imagine being one of the idiots talking s%*# about Moncada so far this season... lol3 points

Do we un-fire him now that we are 2-2 vs the defending Champs? I'm not sure how this works, just looking for clarification.3 points

Clevinger looked good. Soxtalk told me his arm looked dreadful in ST. He hit 96 a couple times and was sitting mid 90s.3 points

I wouldn't give up on this guy so easy. Dude 101 102 consistent don't grow on trees3 points

Throwing opposing HRs back on the field is so lame. Give it to a kid if you don't want it, but what's the point of inconveniencing the players and everyone else.3 points

I know it's been tough, but this team does play harder than last season. I think things will be better soon.3 points

He only stole 3 bases in the minors last year. Nice to see Colas has that in his bag2 points

I'll take that outing on the road against Houston, from Clevinger, every day of the week. And look at Yoan and Vaughn!2 points

White Sox starting pitchers only gave up 5 earned runs in this series. The offense and bullpen are the reason we're 1-2.2 points

I was more of a Romy/Lenyn guy before the season, but I think this may be a bit premature. Bregman is hitting .000, and I think teams would take him.2 points

And it’s not just bad luck…most of it is self-inflicted by horrible approaches and terrible situational hitting.2 points

Taking some pitches and being aware of the situation and how they are going to pitch you will get you ahead more often then not and getting you some pitches you can actually hit or take some walks. He doesn't have to hit his way off the island or be so aggressive anymore because he's going to end up looking terrible until he can make pitchers actually throw strikes. AT least Andrus took the 1st 2 pitches for balls until he started swinging at crap . But even at 2-1 he could've just said make him thrown 2 in a row in the zone.2 points

He had a .288/.338/.454/.792 through August of last year despite a 48% GB rate (7.3 LA). I’d wager he gets his OPS near .850 this year if he can start lifting the ball more.2 points

Every year we keep Ruiz and he sucks. Every time he goes in a game you know something bad is going to happen. His fastball is now slowing down and it's never had any movement, nor could he pinpoint the pitch to the right part of the zone. His secondary pitches are also weak and pathetic. Please DFA this loser and bring someone else up. I am sick and tied of watching the other good teams show how they can properly evaluate and develop good bullpen pitchers and we keep failing miserably in the front office, scouting and coaching departments.2 points

They’ve looked competitive and the problems look fixable. Im really not worried about the hitters this early, and errors happen. Was glad to see Giolito get it together and gut it out. I’m glad some of these issues are coming up now so Grifol can address them. I can’t explain it, but I’m actually optimistic with what I’ve seen, although I fully admit I might be fooling myself.2 points
