Well...fifth time this year the Sox led in the 7th inning or later...and lost. Lopez has been involved in three of those five times. Usual suspects responsible again today, atrocious bullpen, awful fielding and laughable situational fundamental hitting. TWICE a man on third, no out and they can't score! ?6 points

Totally Agree. If you want to "rest" him, let him DH. Everyone can see how important he is to this offense. He had 3 hits yesterday! Pedro has a bad habit of resting his hottest players, thus causing them to go cold (see Robert)...Furthermore, when you dig yourself a hole like they have, you have to try to win every game. This looks like another white flag lineup.6 points

Well done and accurate analysis sadly! This is such a sad commentary on how f*#ked up Hahn has botched the rebuild, the farm system and this garbage major league roster. Btw, I would add Grifol, Katz and all the coaches who shouldn't be in this organization.4 points

Just kind of catching up here..... What a s%*# performance from Tim Anderson. I expect nothing from Hanser But I do expect Tim to drive in a run from 3rd with less then 2 outs. He crapped on himself twice (2nd time chasing ball 3 on 2-0 with bases loaded). That is essence of i want to be the hero4 points

We're the same team we've been all year, just with 3 walk off/late wins wrapped by a pile o' suck.4 points

Stupid take. Billy is fine as a designated pinch runner. If this team had any situational hitting whatsoever this game would have been over a long time ago.4 points

I just want to say that in 2 games Billy has been back he: 1. Last night in the 9th: Stole second, then went from 2nd to 3rd on a grounder left side 95+% of guys hold. (Ultimately stuck due to short flyouts) 2. Tonight in the 8th: Gets to 2nd on a sac bunt from first, then SCORES from 2nd on a groundout from Andrus. And it wasn't even close at home. Dude has a niche and he is the BEST at it. Not denying he can't hit but this dude has a spot on a MLB roster. His energy and presence in general really makes me love this guy. I think he's underrated. I'll take him over Leury 100%4 points

Today wasn't that depressing. Nobody, I mean, nobody, with half a sane mind things this club is going to go 30 over .500 and win 90 games from this point on. I don't know how some people manage to get so enraged still. This season is over. As I said, win like 10 in a row and maybe I'll get excited about things again.3 points

Why would he? He got his coaching from the KC losing Royals. If he was so good, the KC GM would have hired him instead of hiring the TB Rays bench coach for their next manager. Good thing we have the genius Rick Hahn leading this organization...as he knows how to really pick em!3 points

He was held up because he jogged to second. He was jogging so hard he tricked me into thinking there weren’t two outs and defending him based on the ball might have been caught3 points

Guys who shouldn't be starters: Elvis Andrus Gavin Sheets Guys who shouldn't be up at this point: Oscar Colas Lenyn Sosa Guys who shouldn't be in the organization: Hanser Alberto Darryl Boston Mike Clevinger Alex Colome Romy Gonzalez Rick Hahn Sammy Peralta3 points

Just a stunning lack of power in this lineup. Absolutely no power in LF, 3B, SS and 2B.3 points

man on third, no outs, sox need a run to win. Pitcher's thoughts: "First pitch I'll throw garbage low, these guys swing at everything" Sox hitters thoughts: "I'm gonna come out swinging, they will try and get ahead and won't see it coming!"3 points

Honestly getting one player who enjoys playing baseball on this team is like a damn alien gets dropped on it. Billy forever. With 26 spots and new rules, no reason he can’t be player-manager-GM3 points
-
I mean yea this isn’t the starting lineup, they are missing multiple big hitters right now.2 points

Sure. Mark me down as the "people want to see him play." That said, it seems like everyone on this board either thinks he's a star-crossed warrior or a pansy who needs to suck it up. There can be no in between. My point is that either way, every thread on this board becomes a referendum on Moncada's dedication to being a professional baseball player. It took 6 posts for this thread to devolve into that, which I'm labeling the "Moncada Score" or "Moncada Index."2 points

Do you know that Anderson isn't feeling some soreness from playing after his return? There are many reasons that we will never know for why players aren't in the lineup. The manger will probably says it's a day off to take the heat off the player. But that is frequently not the case.2 points

I understanding easing Tim back off the IL and after a night game. I rather have Tim get the day off a week for a few until he is fully 100%. Just bad timing that Burger was hurt and you're also stuck with Sheets in RF for 6-7 innings. Can't DH Tim, Eloy and Sheets at the same time. Hoping Grifol will consider pinch hitting Tim, Yoan, Robert and Eloy on their off days in crucial late inning at bats.2 points

By going 7-21 they lost the ability to give away games, yet here we are. Sitting Anderson is assinine. Why can't they just be normal.2 points

Seems like the rebuilds that failed were ones led by GMs who were already failing prior. Don't let RIck Hahn, Al Avila be your GM for a rebuild when they showed their ass already.2 points

Billy Hamilton was made to be the 10th inning Manford Man. He IS the Manford Man.2 points

One of the worst things Hahn has done in the last few years was not bring BH back. not only is he a late game weapon, not only is he a huge spark plug for this team and for the clubhouse, HE COSTS NOTHING I know some people here don't want him on the team, and think he's taking up a roster spot, but let me ask you guys this: who the f*** is he taking a roster spot from2 points

Looking to see if the White Sox call up Zach Remillard today or tomorrow if Burger goes on the IL. Hahn better not dick around and lollygag placing him on the IL as is their MO if he has an oblique injury. They are already playing shorthanded in the bullpen with Lopez out since Sunday and only one off day the rest of the month.2 points

Colas and Sosa both in the MLB bottom ten of OPS for players 26 and under with 40 or more plate appearances. Also, feel not so encouraged Peralta the 46th ranked prospect in Sox system...2 points

That was nice to win. It's nice to flash some speed (Beni and Hamilton baby). Not sure why Cease didn't dominate but the bullpen was OK. Great to see Eloy stroke that single. And these homers with men on base are nice, Way to go, Robert. Still haven't bought in, but if u are gonna lose 10 in a row, at least it's nice to get 2 back vs. the Twins. Hope the Sox don't concede Thursday and sweep those bastards. Team has so much work to do but I congratulate them for a fine win today. p.s.haven't forgot Timmy. Nice hitting to RF baby.2 points

Hahn has made some questionable move for sure, but he has made a number of really good moves too. Injuries have affected the Sox in a major way2 points

Third baseman Jake Burger left Wednesday’s game with left side discomfort after striking out looking in the fourth inning. Burger appeared to wince after swinging the bat. He is being further evaluated, the team said. Sure glad we got Hanser Alberto! ? Meanwhile Moncada still hasn't gone on a rehab assignment, getting to be a month out of action now.2 points

Hats off to Middleton: Blew them away. And to Pedro for calling his number.2 points

Even with Liam and Garrett coming back we definitely need another "guy" from what we've seen from everyone else thus far.2 points

With Moncada on the IL and Colas back in the Minors, this lineup is once again void of left handed power. Grandal and Sheets are the only options and that is pretty underwhelming. We all knew that this roster was poorly constructed, but it looks even worse than many of us thought.2 points
