Soxtalk really ought to start a minor league board where all of these issues could be discussed.6 points

I’ve turned into my dad very quickly. Until the Sox prove they can develop prospects consistently, following the Sox minor league system is a fools errand, much like the ML team.5 points

I've been watching White Sox baseball before most of you were born, and I have never seen another player go into a long-term pout like Anderson has.3 points

Even as incompetent as the White Sox are I'm sure they're not telling him to swing at almost every pitch. He needs to work this out or he won't be in the majors for long.3 points

I wonder how many breaking balls pitchers throw vs the Sox vs every other team in the league. the scouting report has to be "just throw sliders and you're on track for a perfect game"3 points
-
Now he can hit into a double play in the first inning instead of just a one out ground ball to the short stop. Pedro should have called for a hit and run. with TA high Groundball rate.3 points

One word describes the entire White Sox organization from ownership on down... GARBAGE.3 points

Last two games and out of a total of 54 outs the Sox struck out 32 of those 54. Is that how you play winning baseball?3 points

Since you don't seem interested in selling, pack your bags and get a deal in Charlotte. Maybe folks there will engage enough to keep a beat writer. But Chicagoans are tired of your horrible mismanagement. Maybe in a couple years a real team will move in on the Southside or share a new stadium with the Bears in Arlington Heights. You've worn out your welcome. Your threat to move got you a new stadium, this time go. Just when we think this is the low point something comes along to realize it will just keep getting worst.2 points

Because everything is so depressing on the MLB team… 2nd round pick in 2020, Jared Kelley has been pretty sporadic in his MiLB career so far. But at Winston Salem, his last 11.2 innings has been scoreless pitching in June. It’s a start at least…. Need some of these high picks to pan out someday. Andrew Dalquist has been deplorable in High A.2 points

I’m absolutely giving him a chance. He’s been making very poor swing decisions, even for this lineup, and he needs to stop doing that. His power is scary good and pitchers are going to work around him. If he gets himself out like this he’s got no chance. If he doesn’t get himself out then he’s a potent weapon.2 points

That was a better at bat for Jake than I thought we were going to see but I had zero confidence that he was going to get a hit.2 points

I don't know how much more I can spell this out for you. He's swinging at everything. That won't work long term. It hasn't really been working for a month. Only his power is keeping him in the majors right now. I like Jake a lot, but I can barely watch his at-bats because of the poor swing decisions he makes. He needs to be much more selective or that WAR is going to take a nosedive.2 points

He tried that last night in 9th and it did not go well. Guy has zero pitch recognition ability. In reality it was a high draft pick with major flaws. Injuries are no longer an excuse.2 points

Burger needs to be given a take sign until a strike is thrown. He would have walked. We need to do things differently, not repeating the same mistakes.2 points

I like Jake and he’s nice to have around but this is sorta where I’m at. He’s not a very good hitter outside of the pop and isn’t an MLB 3B. He’s not an everyday player imo.2 points

.205/.230/.470 over the last 28 days, .167/.222/.571 last 14, .160/.192/.560 last 7. The homers are disguising a bad ballplayer.2 points

There’s no discussion there… and there’s no discussion on this board. Everyone is numb, sick and bored with the MLB team. if they could just fire Hahn… ?2 points

Another four pitching prospects besides #1 Schultz all from last year's 2022 draft, I hope can eventually be developed into a major league productive pitchers in a few years are: 1. 22 yr old RH SP Peyton Paulette, 2022 2nd Rd pick and #62 overall at Low A Kannapolis. 10 GS, 31.1 IP, 3.45 ERA, 31 K - Posses a filthy and elite curveball that averages well over 3000 RPM at 80 MPH. 2. 21 yr old RH SP Jonathon Cannon, 2022 3rd Rd pick and #101 overall at High A Winston-Salem 11 GS, 60.1 IP, 2.98 ERA, 53 K - Jonathon has 5 solid pitches with a 60 rating on both his cutter and curveball and 55 on his fastball. 3. 21 yr old LH SP Tyler Schweitzer, 2022 4th Rd pick, #161 overall at Low A Kannapolis. 10 GS, 52.1 IP, 3.78 ERA, 61 K - Has a 55 rating fastball. 4. 21 yr old RH Eric Adler, 2022 6th Rd pick at Low A Kannapolis. 10 G, 9.2 IP, 0.93 ERA, 18 K - 60 rating Fastball, 60 rating curveball and 55 rating Cutter. A smart owner and GM would be wise to make sure they had the top pitching coaches and ex-pitching greats as consultants at the Kannapolis team to ensure the proper successful development. Of course I won't hold my breath on that happening.2 points

No walks & 16 strikeouts . been watching the game a long time, and i've never seen that . launch angle is all well and good, but it means little if there is no one on base to score runs . take walks, work the count, and go the other way, whatever happened to that.2 points

Not defending Pedro, but not guarding the line made sense in that scenario. There were two outs, single ties the game with the runner on second. If the runner was on first, I'm with you. If there were less than two outs and nobody on, to prevent a big inning and the tying run to reach second, I'm with you. In the actual scenario, I want the players positioned to get the final out at first and go home. Steve Stone said the positioning was correct. James Fegan said the positioning was correct. I thought the same thing before and after reading the angst here.2 points

I cringed on one of his recent post games..."I know people don't want to hear it, but we just have to flush this one and move on." But you know what Pedro? I can't really forget that you lost a game because you didn't have your 3B guarding the line late like almost everyone else would.2 points

Robert, Burger, and Vaughn 0-11 with 10ks. Christ. Sox have 6 home runs in theor last two games. Good enough for 6 runs.2 points

Lost in this corpseball performance tonight was this little nugget: "Mariners right-hander Bryan Woo, who entered with a 10.80 ERA, struck out a career high nine batters." If these guys aren't embarrassed by that nothing will impact or affect them. ?2 points
