It’s rankings week at FutureSox. We have the Just Missed list today. https://www.futuresox.net/2025/03/03/futuresox-2025-white-sox-preseason-ju/4 points

I'm perfectly fine with that. Sure beat the "has no money, and makes stupid emotional decisions that screw it all up (LaRussa)."4 points

Much better than, we tried to recreate the Brooklyn Dodgers and why aren't fans supporting us...3 points

Couldn’t disagree more, as you could still trade Cease for more than what the Sox got.3 points

If Iriarte is going to be very good, unless he learns to throw strikes, it will be with the Chicago Dogs.3 points

Of course they know their percentage. They don't know the others. They don't need to know the others. Only JR knows. You probably own stock. Do you know who owns what? There was a huge article about White Sox ownership in the Tribune around 10 years ago. They spoke to several investors who knew what they owned and not much more, but Jerry has made them a lot of money so they couldn't care less.3 points

I'll take my chances with a multi-billionaire who is rooted in Chicagoland and who is apparently willing to spend big time on his teams as the next Sox owner any day of the week and twice on Sunday....even if he and his brother have made mistakes in their first couple of years owning the Suns. The idea that he might actually buy the Sox almost sounds too good to be true to me.2 points
-
Possibly. Most likely better than the kid. He was with Baltimore last year so fuller probably saw something. Did you look at his platoon stats? Forgot the crystal ball factor to include knowing he was going to be injured.2 points

I'll do that. He was clearly holding out for the Mets or another contender. He ended up getting the Brewers.2 points

Was really hoping he'd get a shot this spring. He's already 26. 52 innings pitched last year including the 35 in AAA . 1.55 ERA , 1.13 WHIP ,55 K. 10 saves in 11 chances at Charlotte including one for finishing off the 7 pitcher combined no-no on Father's Day. He went to Wabash Valley JC . 3rd rd. pick. There was no reason as far as I know not to invite him to ST . Hoping it's not something I don't know like a sore arm. Guy who pitched as well as he did needs to know the big club thinks he important .2 points

Adisyn Coffey going from budget signing to help get both Crochet and Kelley to legit relief prospect is one of the cooler stories in the Sox system.2 points

This is the entire point. There is zero reason to give playing time to a mediocre 32 year old veteran outfielder who will be gone in a season or less over giving a shot to a 24 year old outfielder with power potential. If Canario sucks, oh well. If he does well, you may have an outfielder for the future, or at least a platoon outfielder to face lefties. Ultimately, it is worth the shot seeing what he can do over what Slater is going to provide in another 100 loss season.1 point

Yes because the kid has nearly no chance by all reports and Slater will give professional at bats for minimal cost. If there was even one person who gave him a chance to be a mlb regular i would give have a chance. But I didn't hear a single one.1 point
-
I'm not sure who this person is or where they got this image from but sharing what could be an interesting jersey, if it's real1 point
-
All of the prospects people say that he wasn't worth it as the swing and miss was too great. Hence the reason he only brought back cash. It's a valid point though. At least Slater had a track record of some mlb value.1 point
-
This is an honest question. Not trying to be a troll. Do you really believe that Getz thinks Slater is better than Soto, Santander or Hernandez? Or is it more likely that he is doing what he can with the budget JR gave him including all of the organizational improvements?1 point

Guys like Iriarte always do better in the minors because those guys aren't as disciplined as major leaguer hitters. They expand their zones less and less at each level, until it tops out with the best at the top. It is quite literally the point.1 point

3 hits for Drury today...Rikuu Nishida PR. Julks and Amaya need to go. More k's.1 point

Iriarte will go down to Charlotte and do just fine. He'll probably have a locker right next to Burke. But both of them will be very good pitchers in the future.1 point
-
Really for a 23 year old on his 2nd ST appearance. That trade is looking just fine. Actually, I think he will solve this and turn out to be a very good pitcher for the Sox. (Just not today or anytime too soon.)1 point

Didn't see his 1st AB but flew out to the warning track on his 2nd. Took some pitches. Looks very short. Things of that nature.1 point

What you miss Schriffen growling for Robert's homer? Its on Sox radio ESPN-1000 as well but this is only video1 point

How nice would it be to have a young outfielder right now for cash considerations? Getz is a putz.1 point

That is bullshit. There is literally no way they don't know who owns what. Simply for tax purposes and filing with the state, there is no way. That was just some nonsense started by JRs cheap ass since he didn't want people to know how little of the team he actually owns. Everyone who is part of the White Sox knows what they control and most probably know the exact amounts of every single member. Obviously them telling the public is a different matter, but they certainly know.1 point

Not holding my breath for any news. In the end the fans will get screwed. So, screw them.1 point

Can it be dead arm period? Eder's gotten through his first 2 appearances fine. Where is he supposed to be? 95-97? Other than that, S. Wilson and Pallette looked steady.1 point
