I find the White Sox record of 105-232 in their last 337 games much more disrespectful, but to each their own.6 points

I know it is hard to hear ex-players trashing the organisation, and it does make them sound petty in a way, especially if it was a stepping stone to a big payday elsewhere, but it is noticeable that there aren't many ex-players saying how brilliant the White Sox organisation is or was. Equally, when most/many on here, myself included, also criticise the lack of organisation at the White Sox it is churlish to then trash ex-players ourselves when they say out loud what many of us already think. No one likes to hear bad things about the team they are a fan of, especially when that team is at a historic low point, and especially when it is coming from ex-players who earned millions from but didn't necessarily perform for the White Sox ( I am talking Lynn here not Crochet). But until the whole organisation becomes less disfunctional and actually starts performing on the pitch we will probably hear more stories like this one.5 points

I don’t think it’s coincidence Robert had a good game with actual baseball weather today. Most exciting win in a while. I actually jumped off the couch when Baldwin hit that.3 points

Yeah it's almost like he has looked good basically every time he has been out there. Not everything needs to be doom and gloom.3 points

I'm getting this surgery done on my right knee on Tuesday (a mildly complex tear and a horizontal tear). I saw the update and bragged to my wife that I'm basically a White Sox OFer, but she wasn't impressed.3 points

If Ramos hits, he may find himself with a starting job as an outfielder. That’s how desperate the Sox are.3 points

Sure he probably had 1st hand knowledge but Sox prepare for the Rule 5 which means everyone involved in decision making on players reads various reports and gets scouting info . McKinven's expertise is not pitching. Because someone supposedly made a bad decision on choosing between 2 players doesn't automatically means he's a bad executive and every time he speaks he's to be scorned. Do we really need so little info to base our opinions ? It's meatball fandom and convincing yourselves you have great insight when it's really just overreaction based on knowing very little about ,well, everything .3 points

If you only count non-divisional games, the Sox are a .500 team. And if you only count the first game of a home series, they're an unstoppable run scoring wagon with elite pitching to boot (28-2 over 3 games).3 points

I seem to remember their TV or radio guys talking about how they were playing the perfect team to beat. This season won’t be easy, but it’s nice to have games or stretches like this.2 points

Exactly why you don't jump to sign old vets just cuz you think you are getting a deal at $2 million per old bum. Slater was Getz's #1 offseason target. He even said so. LOL, what a moron.2 points

Canario with a home run and two walks tonight for the Pirates. He's also playing CF. Would have loved seeing him in our lineup over Palacio, Taylor, and Maton. A 24-year old with power over wasting at bats on these three bums. We already know what the future holds for Palacio, Taylor, and Maton. At least Canario still has a shot. https://mlb-cuts-diamond.mlb.com/FORGE/2025/2025-04/12/3cdef3fd-8cb1f852-7fd14b48-csvm-diamondgcp-asset_1280x720_59_16000K.mp42 points

So nice finally seeing how Schultz responds to having his mettle as a starter really tested. Loaded the bases in the 5th with a single and two walks, left them stranded with a K. Finished (I assume) with 5IP, 0ER, 5H, 2BB, 6K. 84 pitches!2 points

Good. People need to not get so bent out of shape over every guy that leaves here and calls the organization out. That's a direct reflection of Jerry Reindsdorf and how he chooses to operate his team. The Sox are behind other teams. It's pretty obvious when you watch a Sox game and compare that on-field product it to around the league.2 points

Unfortunately, the “kids” are 29 year old Palacios and 27 year old Jones. A horrible time to not have a young and ready outfield prospect.2 points

Yeah, his parents definitely knew what they were doing too. There’s no way they didn’t haha2 points

If they rendered Vaughn after his first 6 weeks last year, they are gonna let him try to work his way out of this too. We are stuck watching him for at least the first 3 months.2 points

There has to be be a better alternative than a greedy private equity/corporate raider. Hopefully Michael Reinsdorf and Mellody Hobson will hold firm and send Ishbia looking for another short term investment opportunity.2 points

Pretty good game all around other than Vaughn. When can we cut bait on that crazy eyed motherfucker. He brings nothing to table whatsoever.2 points

it just seems petty and disrespectful. Fenway Sports Group is arguably as incompetent as JR (although Liverpool looks great), does Crochet know that? he's saying a nice thing about the team that just made him one of the richest men to ever exist, but I don't know why they always have to talk trash.1 point

I missed this one, but from the box score... Chase Meidroth = GOAT?1 point

A legit team would be building around Robert and Crochet.1 point

Crochet wasn't traded because of perceived "cheapness", but you just keep posting that every 15 minutes.1 point
-
They traded him because they're in a rebuild and needed the offensive players they could get in return. This particular player doesn't really have anything to do with Reinsdorf's "cheapness". BTW, Reinsdorf paid Buehrle, Sale and Quintana. So, RIP to that canard.1 point
