Tim Elko's 1st Big League hit was a 3 run 💣in the 6th that led to the Sox 4-2 victory. White Sox win the rubber game of the 3 game series and also win their 3rd series of the year . The Sox also won their 12th game of the season and Cam Booser picked up only the 2nd Sox save of the year by pitching a scoreless 9th inning. Memorable Mother's Day !5 points

Nah...many/most high end prospects will encounter significant failure at some point. He has to learn to adjust, make changes and fight his way out of it.3 points

That is just uncalled for...Umpires are blameless godlike creatures.2 points

Nancy Faust plays na na on his home run trot. My gosh what a day. The Sox are back. If Beni was healthy the lineup at least would be way more potent than before. Elko and Nancy Faust. Wow. And the Pope.2 points

So it seems like calling up the dude who hits home runs helped. Who da thunk it?2 points

This. He’d earned his shot and we should all want him to do well, but we should have low expectations. Guy likely isn’t a long term answer but maybe we could have some fun seasons from him at a time when we’re going to suck anyway.2 points

Who says Oppor is a reliever? Based on what I have seen, Oppor is a more sure thing to start than Hagen Smith is. Taylor would not be luck. He would be the Sox closer right now if they brought him up. I just want him to start. McDougal, who knows? His inconsistent mechanics could get cleaned up and he could start. Or he could be such a mess that he can’t even stick in the pen. And do not sleep on Wikelman. He has a good arm, there’s just a lot of effort. He might be really good out of the pen.2 points

Too clever by half. Why not just leave Leasure in while he's seemingly doing well?2 points

it's disgusting...but to me the most disgusting team is the pirates also get free draft picks and more intl money while the sox choose to operate as a dirt poor team while getting docked for being a high revenue team. The only actors being punished by anti-tanking rules, competitive balance rules, etc...are truly white sox fans. We are the worst team in history and couldn't even get the benefit of a first overall pick.1 point

Every bad team wants to be like the Rays - better known for cost effectiveness but becoming less known for winning. Just think if they come along with that mythical salary cap nothing will change Those same cheap ass owners will brag about their 100 loss teams being $100M under the salary cap. Too many owners that are bad for the game.1 point

Theiss is an absolute goner. You have Quero, Teel, and even Lee. You trade him for something for sure.1 point

It's good they lost the lead then got it back, then got the save. I don't know if they start down the road of self-doubt after a while, but maybe they can start to build a little confidence that they do have some bats in the lineup, and they do have some arms in the pen to battle with.1 point

Those guys are utility infielders. I'd try to get someone like Boston Baro - a guy deep in the minors but who could turn out to be something. I understand that Robert's numbers are poor so he's risky; but he's also high-reward. Some team will pay for him.1 point

Well Law just said that he fixed his swing. Law's early 2024 rankings had Caleb at around #20; by the time of the draft, he had dropped him way down to the 50s, with the changing/inconsistent swing the reason. In that context, the comment that he fixed his swing is significant imv.1 point

Boston could use better backup catching. Maybe package him and a streaking Vaughn.1 point

Didn't exactly call it.I think I said it would be nice if he hit a 3 run HR early. 6th AB in his 2nd game will do. 🙂1 point

He actually cleared waivers and rejected his outright to AAA Charlotte, then signed an milb deal with the Brewers, if we're being technical.1 point

It’s where the lack of power is a huge factor. Pitchers can throw it down the plate and less him hit it as far as he wants.1 point

Might be time to move Meidroth down in the order. Also have to wonder if he’s healthy. His stats are in free fall.1 point

Yeah Venable has shown very little instincts as a manager. There’s a stunning lack of talent on the roster, but his decision making seems bad.1 point

The 1.0 is definitely perfection. I hope it is true that they bring that back into rotation as is noted a couple of places on the web. I didn't like the 2.0 from the leak, but it is still nice. The logos that came from this one are great. Got a hoodie, as I figured I have something to rock for Bulls games now that's still Sox-related, ha. I usually am wearing the City Connect hockey jersey from 2022 giveaway to any Hawks/Wolves game I make it to.1 point

The White Sox were labeled Winning Ugly in 1983. These past 3 years the team has been Losing Ugly. There has been nothing lovable about this team the last 3 seasons.1 point
