Was at the ballgame tonight. Ive always felt in the seasons where playoffs are in our sights, come August the crowd has a different feel. I kind of felt that tonight. The 9th and 10th was electric and it sort of felt like we expected the win. Love when everyone organically comes to their feet at the right moments. Its been a while and tonight was a joy.

This is an absolutely absurd hindsight take. Dude put up a 64 wRC+ for us last year and I don’t recall you saying we should have kept him over Sosa. What’s funny is I actually said multiple times we should probably trade Sosa to open up a spot on the bench for Mead this year and even I can’t rip Getz for trading him. And Benintendi being on this roster isn’t Getz’s fault, it’s Jerry’s fault for being a dumb cheap f***.

It’s amazing that @Look at Ray Ray Run can’t admit he was at least partially wrong about Getz and instead calls the 4th best team in the AL mediocre.

Come on man , you 100% supported the Hahn/KW rebuild because they were mired in mediocrity in a stupid attempt by Hahn to compete with the Samardzija and Shield trades that jettisoned a lot of youth. Then oh that didn't work.., it's time to rebuild without the youth I traded away. Hahn and KW also started the process of this rebuild only JR finally understood maybe not to let the bozos who fucked it all up twice weren't the best choice to oversee a 2nd rebuild. JR is the big boss and he was just as much if not more to blame but he's not going to fire himself. Chris Getz was not the architect of the 3 straight 100 loss season.He was put in charge of the Titanic that had already hit the iceberg unlike his predecessor who drove the ship into the iceberg multiple times. You're projecting your hurt feelings about the 1st rebuild failing onto Getz. You were promised multiple parades by your savior and it hurt so so badly that you became bitter and now refuse to even think of those 3 season as the rebuilding process. Getz inherited a fucked up situation and because you feel his rank or track record in the destruction deserves just as much scorn as the true masters of that destruction you assign blame to him . But but JR told us there would be a quick turnaround. Sorry you feel like your idealism was ripped from your soul but it's just baseball.
