  1. At a Sox game with my boy....Enjoying a Cuban Comet sandwich and Nancy Faust on the organ....life might get better than this, but not by much.
  2. Oh wow look at this guy with enough friends to have multiple Tigers fans.
  3. We can't lose, we have God on our side.
  4. You have to beat a dude named Pagan on pope night.
  5. Not that anybody cares, but my Uncle Jim was roommates with the Pope at Seminary High in MI and at Villanova. Jim is a huge Sox fan still and keeps in touch with "Bob" a bit, but not as much lately for obvious reasons.
  6. This game is on Venable. I know Hudson didn't exactly get hit hard, but it made no sense to use him in the 8th. 4 righties in a row coming up including 2 who murder lefties at the back end of it. It's like Will didn't want him to possibly face Stewart when he took him out for Taylor. Then he made the same mistake in the 10th, using another lefty against the same part of the order. Toglia and Elly had no issues hitting deep enough fly balls to get the run in. Venable has been god awful on this homestand. From the Schultz incident, to using Richards to close, and now this. We lose a game we were in control of and now we probably won't see Taylor the rest of the series cause we just wasted 2 innings from him.
  7. Yeah they were hitting rockets off him.
  8. Made absolutely no sense for him to hit there. Would have rather seen Doyle and then save Benintendi for Grichuk.
  9. I think Burke has to be our starter for game 1 of the World Series this year.
  10. Rest? "This kid is 23 years old, hes not a dried up old lady. Hes good to go!"
  11. It looks like the Pope already pulled a few strings to get the severe weather out of the area before tonight's game.
  12. Legit lol’d at the names of the priests involved in this when I saw the release of what’s gonna happen at this game. Having guys involved in this that like 80% of south side Catholics would be like ‘oh yeah I know that guy’ is honestly why being a fan of this team is worth all the nonsense.
  13. Not happening. Sounds fun but don't see where he plays everyday. Also, rushing him to the majors in a season he started in A+ in the middle of a playoff race sounds like a great way to f*** up his development. Sox did not do anything bold at the deadline with their top prospects, they're still very much looking ahead to the future.
  14. I don't want to be too negative but this game feels over.
  15. Will is actively hurting this teams chances of winning games at an alarming rate. You can question things and play hindsight. But the bottom of the 8th inning isn’t hindsight it’s just a terribly managed inning.
  16. Playing a man down today and will pinch hits benintendi for Doyle and burns two guys because he has to put peters in for defense. Instead of pinch hitting peters for him, and saving benintendi for grichuk. Bad bad managing
  17. I remember the girls had to sing Immaculate Mary, and there was something about it that was really awesome. I’m somewhat of a lapsed catholic, but the traditional hymns still get me. Being catholic isn’t totally about religion for me, there’s a cultural identity that I still hold onto. 12 years of catholic school doesn’t go away easily.
  18. I thought you could see him starting to turn a corner before Teel came back. He was starting to square up more balls even if the results weren't there.
  19. Quero has looked much better even before he went down the 2nd time
  20. That's reserved for boys 14 years and younger
  21. Man, did Getz s%*# the bed at the trade deadline. I hate lead-off homers!!
  22. Rooting for a meteor in this Detroit Tribe series. Probably prefer Cle takes 2/3, cool off Tigers a bit.
  23. It’s the only movie I’ve gone to movies twice to see.
  24. I had to temporarily turn off the ignore feature to note someone arguing with himself.
  25. I often cite this as the last funny movie ever made. You'd never be able to get away with half the sh*t they say in here today!
  26. Or what? Lmao you have absolutely intimidated that Ishbia is only here to pilfer the white sox and leave.
  27. Right after we called them out for cheating. Super sus.
  28. They'd better get back to being red hot by the time they play the rest of our division.
  29. Farmer was the best bad announcer of all time. He had a great voice for radio and would go off on tangents instead of calling the game but he was easy on the ears in a way a lot of rambling announcers are not.
  30. Now you're changing the question. You did say Gonzalez was 25% of the Crochet trade. If we're counting bodies, yes he was - but not in terms of value. I beg to differ that he was weighted equally with Meidroth, B Montgomery, and Teel. I don't know if the Sox should have DFA'd Gonzalez, but he was obviously the 4th man in that deal.
  31. Here you go: https://www.futuresox.net/2026/08/10/chicago-white-sox-2026-mid-season-top/
  32. I could start a Go Fund Me for Mat if you think that would help.
  33. FG's database is all screwed up but it seems like he's slightly better than Acuna and we don't need another CF with Doyle added. Does Acuna have an option year? If so easy call. I appreciate what Acuna has done as the 26th man but if we can get better lets do it.
  34. I hear you can talk to Teddy there, how was your conversation?
  35. His OPS against lefties this year is 100 points higher than Acuna
  36. CLOWNS ALL OF THEM CLOWNS FIRE THEM ALL!!! HOW DARE THEY HAVE FUN!!!
  37. I think it's a bottom 1/3 system right now. Probably around 20-22 or so. Yeah it's tough to sustain with just draft picks and trades. We do aggregate rankings. We all rank 30 players and assign prospect points etc. The top 10 was the same. Bergolla at 11, Davis 12, Adams 13, Wolkow 14 and Smith 15. You can believe whatever you'd like though in 2026. He was on the just missed list. The DSL is fake.
  38. Watching Ian & Jimmy last night. Jimmy brought up that Smith is wild but so nasty that he doesn't get hit. Then he said that at the ML level hitters will just lay off and make him throw strikes and that is the problem. If the Sox got Hicks on track I hope they can do the same with Smith.
  39. You can sign a journeyman reliever to be as bad as Joe Rock. The guy has a 2 WHIP in both the minors and majors right now.

  41. Non-a-hole code says you shouldn't put your friends in the position of keeping secrets from their wives. 😃
  42. 2 points
Meidroth and Antonnaci are going to be fitted for WS rings at some point as South Siders. Ditto Colson. Bet the house on it. Love those three.
  43. Grant Taylor. Jordan Hicks. Bryan Hudson. Sean Burke. Trevor Richards. Tyler Schweitzer. That said, Bannister isn't their pitching coach. He isn't anybody's pitching coach.
  44. Great work as usual from the FS team. It is brutal how little contribution the international market is giving their system. Four prospects on this list and they are all in the bottom half (#15, #19, #29 and #30). It would be hard to find another system with that poor of return on investment. The silver lining is Bonemer was a draft steal and they have several prospects that are going to help the big league club this season. The Sox desperately need this 2026 draft class to be special for depth purposes.
