Ain't happening Robin...

Now with the current injuries Robin doesn't have a whole lot of options... nor to I question Robins strategy (usually)

But the way the team plays, their mental edge, looseness and confidence has been bad since they couldn't score a run, and slid at the end of 2012 - it's lacking.

It's always been that way.

We've gotten many different players...but all the same results.

It's time to see if another manager can stir something up.

And this dramatically changes the dynamic for the off season. Conventional wisdom was suggesting the Sox would issue a statement saying something along the lines of, "it was mutually agreed that Robin would not be returning. He wanted to spend more time with his family." (or some other face saving statement.)

Now that Robin has publicly said he'd be willing to return, that blows that scenario right out of the water.

If the Sox let him go the onus is put completely on them, they made that decision...not Robin.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 14, 2016 -> 06:54 PM)
Don't worry, we'll go on a mid-September tear, finish 80-82 (but obviously miss the playoffs) and Robin will be handed a 3-year extension.

If the Sox were to win 15 of their last 20 or something he'd probably return. But it would mean nothing. We'd still probably be team dysfunction under his leadership again next year. One crazy loss would probably end our season again.

If he returns I'm not or if the put another retread. It makes us forget what great players they were. No Thome either unless he's the hitting coach. Cooper is no longer effective either.

What manager would say no unless they were retiring.
