As is tradition, we must always have a poster named Ron hating a White Sox first baseman.6 points

But let me cherry pick some dumb stat no one uses from a site no one but Lip has heard of to fit his narrative. Brilliance. Moncada is a disappointment as a former #1 prospect in the game. No doubt. He is now overpaid. No doubt. He has still been a well above average and very useful baseball player, even with the awful 2022. There is no logical debate otherwise. It’s also kind of a weird time to jump on Yoan when he’s hitting the ball pretty well so far.4 points

Robert’s at bats are embarrassing. Put him 8th until he decides to be a major league hitter again4 points

I'll wait for confirmation from Katy Perry's Booty Hole.4 points

Yet somehow after 10 years in charge with only two winning seasons (and they weren't always trying to 'tank") he still has a job. Can't imagine any other organization keeping a guy with a track record like that.4 points

same ol team I've been seeing for awhile.. swing at bullshit pitches that the other teams don't swing at. bullpen is always play to lose. Seen this all before.3 points

Lots of positives that bode well for the rest of the season: TA being TA (but he walks now??), Yo staying hot, catcher duo looking great, front 3 of the rotation are solid, team fighting back when down, improved defense, overall good hustle and health. Lots of negatives that should improve with time: rookie manager learning the BP without 2 of our best arms, rookie OF adjusting to MLB pitching, Robert and others finding a rhythm at the plate, arms still getting a feel for their stuff and work capacity. You don't play the Astros on the road every series, and they'll win more games playing like this than they'll lose. This is the toughest possible matchup to start the season, and they aren't looking overmatched. The fact that we can all point to individual ABs as the difference instead of being out of it from the start because 3 core players are on the IL and we got 6ER in 3.2IP from our SP should be more than enough to dispel the idea that nothing is different. Unfortunately, even if the team has improved...Sox fans stay the same.3 points

I’m excited to see how the ball is jumping off his bat. Now if they want to cut bait after this year when his salary skyrockets, that’s a whole different argument that we have a long time to discuss.3 points

Hahn has invested so much to this pen, it's been average at best for awhile now . I don't care how many managers you fire, him keeping this job is so insulting and so Reinsdorf .3 points

Is Andrus some type of fucking moron? He just took 2 pitches way inside and then swung at an exact replica3 points

Grifol’s managing leaves a lot to be desired so far3 points

I would argue that our SP has outpitched theirs in each of these games.3 points

an added benefit of that home run is that tim comes up without guys in scoring position which means hes allowed to get a hit3 points

I'm not sure you could trade that guy for a grain of salt.3 points

I'm already sick and tired of the Pedro Grifol era....still stuck at .500. Why did we get rid of a HOF manager just to be in the same place?? Every sane Sox fan knows it's time to bring back LaRussa but I know such serious issues won't be discussed here. That's why I am starting my own site....join me at DrunkSoxTalk.net where we can talk about the real issues. DrunkSoxTalk....where politics is not only encouraged.....it's required. The site will be dropping next April 1 ?3 points

2nd game of the season and some soxtalk posters on suicide watch already. Sheesh calm down. I want them to win more than anybody but this s%*# is crazy. They have played the world champs tough. Is there some adjustments to make hell yeah but I'm seeing a lot positives and a lot of confidence.3 points

Montero makes $11 million and blew the save for the Astros yesterday. Pressly gave our supposedly bad offense the lead in the 9th, and he's getting paid more than Graveman and Diekman combined. s%*# happens.3 points

After three games, my negative takeaways are the bullpen doesn’t instill a lot of confidence and Robert needs get his s%*# together. Otherwise, this feels like a completely different team than last year. Give it a little time, y’all.2 points

Cut Moncada? My lord you’re such a blow hard.2 points

Somehow he's arguably been their best player for the first 3 games of the season. My god the overreactions through 3 games are spectacular.2 points

That was an unbelievably selfish at bat by a veteran ball player 6 pitches and maybe one was a strike and he strikes out. Can't have that2 points

That’s as bad of an at bat as you will see. Hey Hahn, way to fix the holes you dumbfuck2 points

Doesn't matter who the manager is. This team is a lost cause until there is different ownership. Bottom line.2 points

Tony would have gotten destroyed for last two games2 points

Hahn should sign and trade for more likeable guys like Kelly and Clevinger2 points

Someone is going to REALLY regret not counter offering that extension, after the 2020 season.2 points

You have to take advantage of this series with the Astros playing half their lineup as scrubs. They need to go 2-2 at worst.2 points
-
That would make 0 sense after his first outing of 2022. Why even have him make the team then2 points
-
I agree. Consider how hard it is to have a disastrous trade in which what you gave up is Ryan McGuire. Yet Hahn accomplished it.2 points

I am not defending Graveman’s performance last because he was awful, but he was fine in 2022. And he doesn’t need to “elite” to be worth $8M AAV.2 points

It's a good time for Gio to pitch against the Astros with no Altuve and Brantley. Let's win one more game. I think we'd all have considered a 2-2 split series a big win.2 points
