  1. You would think a team whose scouting mistakes made her son filthy rich, would be held in a much higher regard by Dallas' mother.

  2. Yeah I’m sure the guy who slept in the dugout, had the closer run the bases, and intentionally walked hitters with 2 strikes was never the problem.

  3. For my money it’s the least likable team since last year.

  4. "They don't quit" is a sometimes reasonable mantra for an amateur team that is outmanned. It's absolutely patronizing for a professional team.

  5. To be fair I don't think the author of the thread intended to insinuate "this is the most unlikeable team since the 2000 club." But rather this is the least likeable team in the last 23 years starting with 2000. Though I hated 2007 equally. Luis Terrera, Ryan bukvich and Andy Gonzalez are just a few names in there that still induce a gag reflex. But at least they tried.....they just had no talent.

  6. I can’t say this enough - injuries are up League wide already this season by quite a bit over last year. The White Sox are comparatively quite healthy. They have all 5 starters healthy, teams like the Braves, Astros, Rays have lost multiple starting pitchers. They are missing a 3b, a couple DHs, and a closer, and maybe a mid 30s catcher today. This is not a banged up team, this is one of the healthier teams in baseball. If your team needs to be healthier than this, they have to be the healthiest team in the league.

  8. no front office should come out of a lost decade (no playoff appearances from 2010-2019) with jobs. Had Brian Sabean stuck around as GM of the Giants and they didn't make the playoffs for 10 years after 2014, he'd have been out on his ass with 3 world series.

  11. 1-3 against the Royals. We are the worst team in the league

  12. That face of the franchise Tim Anderson, Mr. "Change the Game", went 0-4 today. He is such a great lead-off hitter and great leader for this club. His stat line is now: BA OBP SLG OPS WAR .253 .303 .313 .617 0.0

  13. It doesn't matter what he says anymore. He is never getting fired as long as JR is owner. We are looking at another upcoming decade of darkness for White Sox nation. It's time to probably just put the whole entire organization on ignore.

  15. It’s amazing how the downfall seemed to occur once he acted like a total idiot about Yermin’s homer

  16. I couldn't bring myself up to discuss but BA had ratings for the previous class. There were 14 players added to our division before the sox showed up in the 70s. Is there actually, probably a real difference in talent between 30 and 70...probably not. But boy it sure would be easier to trust that the sox are the smarties if they were not so horrendous on the field for over a decade.

  17. There were plenty of people who thought he was the Sox Theo.

  18. College students don't or barely remember 2005. All they will remember about the past decade are watching in horror as the Sox played mostly poor baseball in those atrocious 1983 uniforms.

  19. The good old days of 2019. Back when many around here thought Rick Hahn walked on water. My how things have changed since then...

  20. I'm curious to see some of these guys with different teams and whether those teams will be able to get these guys to play to their full potential. I feel like Luis Robert, Jr. would be an MVP if he was on the Dodgers/Rays/Red Sox/Guardians/Twins/etc., but as long as he's with the White Sox, he'll only be what he currently is because the White Sox are incapabe of getting the most out of their players. Young guys with loads of talent and potential dwindle away if they "develop" in the White Sox system, and veterans with a history of success sign with the team and never reach that success again. There are exceptions, obviously, like Tim Anderson, for example, but for the most part, being a member of the White Sox organization seems to be a death sentence for players' careers. A lot of people complain about trading Tatis for Shields back in the day, but that's because Tatis turned into a superstar with another team. I have no faith that he would have come close to being that player if he had stayed in the White Sox system.

  21. I know we have talked abut this sickening video tons of time with sarcasm, but now in 2023 seeing him make that comment with the most condescending and arrogant snicker, is now completely beyond a lack of accountability...and now has become officially one massive embarrassing disgrace, of either blatant or senile negligence...on the part of Jerry Reinsdorf.

  22. I don’t remember the 2000 team being unlikable, they sure could hit but like most Sox playoff teams except for 2005 fell flat on their faces, IIRC a few of our starters had arm issues heading into the playoffs.

  23. If that is what he calls what his team plays. It's an awful team. They get blown out all the time. Except for 1 or 2 games, they easily could have lost every game they have played.

  24. White Sox announced they have purchased the contract of Homer The Dragon from Charlotte. To make room for Homer, Southpaw was designated for assignment.

  25. This quote from when Keuchel was DFA'd by the Sox: "Keuchel's mom may have a point about the White Sox organization’s ineptitude. They have routinely failed in areas such as pro scouting, player development, and in the win column.

  26. Organizational operations in player development, strength and conditioning, analytics, who name it and they are inept. Other than spending money, all be in foolishly, as an organization they do nothing right.

  29. It is unbelievable how this team can make bad pitchers look awesome. The Guardians offense is terrible but I bet they hang at least 5 a game v the Sox next week. This to me are 2 items that show how bad the coaching of this organization is from top to bottom.

  32. Hey that’s a reasonable complaint but that certainly didn’t absolve Hahn of all of the blame on this site. It gave him a little breathing room while TLR was parading the dugout, that’s all

  33. Why? Just because Tony was the manager? The team is totally out of contention on May 11th this year. That wasn't the case last year.

  34. The revisionist history around here by some sure is interesting to watch. Rick Hahn was the golden boy around these parts for quite some time. The chickens have all come home to roost now though, and Sox nation is stuck with a dead ass team already completely out of contention before May 15.

  35. 100% false. The true Hahn believers have merely gone dormant.

  40. I am so sick of Stone. When he isn't saying stupid crap like this, he's bad-mouthing fans and kissing up to JR. Robert looks like he has given up. Yes, swing at something a foot outside that was never close to a strike and sit down. The rest of the team looks lifeless, too. To me, Stone just represents what is wrong with organization. The Nile is such a long river.

  42. Prior to this year I used to think Luis Robert was amazing and hyped him up so much, now I'm not sure anymore. Dude has gotten his hitting numbers out of the shitter and back to respectability, but he gives these vibes where he seems like he's checked out or only partially engaged. I didn't think that about him before. It's like he absorbed it from the team somehow.

  43. And that is his main pitch. He was throwing fastball cookies with a 2 strike count.

  44. Didn't watch the game at all. Watching the post-game. WHAT THE f*** IS THIS TEAM DOING AT THE PLATE?? Yes, Lynn sucks. But this team is fucking CLUELESS at the plate. The Robert at bats had to be the worst at bats I have ever seen. Unbelievable. Looked like a fucking little leaguer.
