  1. Gotta love Soxtalk. A post about two minor leaguers colliding in the outfield is seen as some dramatic grand big picture indictment of the organization and somehow related to the Detroit Pistons and Charlotte Hornets.
  2. Started reading through this thread and rolled my eyes so many times. Caufield posting nonsense and ownership blaming.
  3. This is laughable. Sox fans pissed because the team sucks. More like Cubs fans? You're just like Cubs fans. Results don't matter to you. 3 100 loss seasons in a row when we were promised being in a multiple championship window. How dare White Sox fans be upset.

Who was playing out of position? It's the minors. He is learning a new position.
  5. You know how the longer a discussion goes on, the probability increases that it will inevitably turn into a discussion about Hitler? Soxtalk is kinda like that except Getz is Hitler and it doesn’t take very long.
  6. The original title was also Berongtolla, so we have it all.
  7. Heard Ishbia was about to cancel the buy right after reading soxtalk but thankfully a white knight rode in and saved the day!
  8. these in game interviews are WORTHLESS
  9. Yeah, exactly. Not everyone has to have the same levels of optimism/pessimism. We all want the same thing in the end. The only thing that bugs me is the completely unreasonable, hyperbolic posts. It’s just frustratingly immature and ruins any chance at actual discussion.
  10. That's not what's laughable. Be opitmistic all you want, but understand why some aren't.
  11. You can ignore a user’s posts, but you can’t ignore them resurrecting threads from 8 months ago for some reason. What a world.
  12. I agree with you. But let’s be honest, the Sox managed him the exact opposite way that the Mets did. Just jog the bases slowly after contact… Just swing with one arm… Meanwhile, the Mets babied him in ST. They didn’t overplay him in less important ST games and allowed him to be 100% healthy for the season. Robert could very well get injured again, but the Mets have done a good job to minimize that risk so far.
  13. Maybe 6 innings was enough for Davis....but Venable was asleep at the wheel.
  14. Those Red batting gloves give me PTSD seeing Eloy
  15. Cuda was on that too. I would have say, some players are just not gonna make it happen where they are, and need to move on
  16. Sox on 1st screen, Artemis landing on 2nd, cold beer in hand. Happy Friday everyone!
  17. Just reads like fatigue and have to write something.
  18. It's funny that Roch blew everyone away last year but this year he's just fine even though all of his stats and data are the same. I think he's been more impressive this year than he was last year, personally.

The minors is where that SHOULD happen especially for secondary type bats.
  20. Forgot to throw this in yesterday's thread, but congrats to Kay for his first MLB win since June 24, 2021! McGuire was his battery mate that day. Semien and Bichette were his middle IF pairing. Also the Sox first win in KC since September 6, 2023. Vaughn and Moncada went yard, Elvis Andrus went 4-5, Touki Toussaint threw a quality start, and Bryan Shaw got the save. First shutout @ KC since May 17, 2022 in the first half of a DH. Cease (5.2IP), Bennet Sousa, Joe Kelly, Jose Ruiz, and Liam Hendriks (S) combined for the shutout. Abreu (2) and AJ Pollock knocked in the runs. Oddly enough, McGuire caught that one too. So Kay's last two wins were caught by McGuire and Quero years apart, and the Sox last two shutouts in Kauffman were also also caught by McGuire and Quero years apart. Baseball.
  21. JR did hire Getz, a genius move that led to more miraculous hires. He must be pretty good. And Cali's ridiculous comment that if Ishbia saw Sox fans upset because the team sucked, he might back out of his agreement. That would be good, because if he expects White Sox fans to accept being bad, who wants him? We already have that.
  22. It kills me how completely the unaware the White Sox Buzzkill Army is of their own comments and feelings when they project those feelings on those of us who dare to be optimistic and question their continual complaining. Really?? We optimistic fans looking for hope are laughable when you’re still complaining about the promised multiple championship parades? We’re the ones who are laughable?
  23. I'm so old I remember when it was Cubs fans who blindly accepted losing and whatever their ownership told them, and Sox fans were the ones who actually had standards and expectations instead of celebrating failure.
  24. The fact you mentioned Patrick Williams as a bench piece and potentially good basketball team in the same post... no disrespect but put down the kool-aid.
  25. I don't know why you bother. This place is a s%*# show. Nothing will do but perfection. People act like collisions don't happen in other organizations. Most collisions happen when 2 guys are going hard to the ball. That's called hustle, giving effort. You're arguing with people who call themselves Sox fans but act more like Cub fans dwelling on every little thing that will give them satisfaction that everything the Sox do sucks. Acting like puppies crying through the night, crying every time a reliever let's someone get on base. No posting about I hope those kids they are all right. Just another chance to berate the organization. Drunk posting like it's some badge of honor. Taking glory in football sample sizes . No sympathy or even empathy. Nothing except their own suffering matters. I sure hope the Ishbia's don't read this crap. Wouldn't surprise me if they called the whole thing off . We don't deserve an owner with money who might be willing to build a new ballpark who might have a grand vision of a White Sox resurrection in the heart of the city. Not an ounce of patience in a game that requires it especially when we all know whats going on. But sure lets all act like the front office isn't on Pork Chop Hill. Tactical futility at it's finest. We won the game but you'd be hard pressed to find many kind words in that game thread.
  26. Sox and KC now tied at 5-8, both ahead of Detroit at 4-9. Road record is 2-5 for the season. Sox for the second time this year end a skid at 3. By this time last year, they had already had an 8 game loss streak (they had a 4L and 5L at this point in 2024). Win #5 comes on April 9th this year (April 20th in 2025, April 27th in 2024). The date to beat for #6 is April 24th. Team ERA over the last 7 games is 2.25 (18 total runs allowed). Second shutout in that stretch. Probably should get more than a 4-3 record out of that if they could start hitting some HRs again.
  27. It’s kinda funny Pipeline has an article projecting the first 11 picks of the draft. It’s the first 11 because Roch to the Sox was so obvious they just skipped over it and projected the next 10.
  28. Weird that people are so thrilled need to spend so much time telling everyone else they have to be happy too. Broken brains indeed.
  29. Kay's pitching motion and body-type reminds me of Carlos Rodon.
  30. God it must be miserable. So sorry your being forced to read such filth.
  31. Anthony Kay has had a solid start to the year. Finally Will figured out who needs to use out of the bullpen too.
  32. Just to set the record straight, collisions happen due to poor communication and a lack of familiarity and positional awareness. Not because of hustle, in my opinion.
  33. SD 1119* DET 1118* BAL 1116* CIN 1102* PIT 1100* MIN 1097* KCR 1080* Getz Team 1 CHW 1030 Getz Team 2 MIA 1026* COL 1000 FIFTEEN+ years of winning (barely) the 28th amount of games out of thirty with all but CLE right there. How can CLE be fourth overall with the lowest payroll in the sport? What about TB and Milwaukee? Why don't the White Sox attempt to learn from the most efficient spending teams out of necessity? This is Stockholm Syndrome. "Not an ounce of patience in a game that requires it especially when we all know what's going on..." Being a Washington Generals fan was more rewarding. They had a better winning percentage against the Globetrotters.
  34. Nice well pitched win but we’re not going to win many games like this, the Sox need to start hitting, they’re almost at the bottom of all the offensive categories in the American League. The good news is team ERA which was around 18.00 after the opening road trip is heading down towards respectability. Has anyone noticed how the NL is dominating inter-league play with a .610 winning percentage against the AL, there are only 4 teams in the AL with winning records.
  35. Can't blame him. Maybe if the team can tread water through the injuries and keep it close to .500 and within 5 games of 1st place then if those young guns are ready you bring them up maybe to start or whatever . But like with the hitters you don't want to waste service time when it serves no real purpose. Most of them aren't ready now. I think they want them coming up in waves maybe after the trade deadline. Antonacci is basically less than a month into showing them he has a bit of power and learning a new position. Schultz , Smith & McDougal need to show they can keep it up with the good games overshadowing the bad ones which there will be in Charlotte. That can't be helped. Braden Montgomery is also only in his 2nd pro season like Hagen Smith. Maybe the 3rd wave is Cholowsky, Bonemer, Oppor while the rest are all gaining experience hovering around .500 or higher in 2028.
  36. Kelenic has 2 hits in 27 AB, it's over bro
  37. Block Club ChicagoTwo Stadiums In The South Loop? Neighbors Weigh In On Pro...SOUTH LOOP — With the possibility of the 14th Street Railyard becoming the future home of the White Sox, some South Loop residents are cautiously
  38. They actually do. Bergolla was playing shortstop. It's only a bone bruise. Antonacci stayed in. Looks like the same type of play that happened to Ozzie in ... 1992?
  39. f*** yea, love that s%*#. kay looked good tonight talk ur s%*#.
  40. Kay a little feisty lol No reason for Cags to think it was intentional though.
  41. And to not play in front of empty stadiums he did nothing to fill.
  42. I really didn’t see much different. Michael said it was time for a change, he really liked AKME personally, he put a head coach qualifier on the next hire, didn’t commit to the full embrace of analytics, talked about how they always have done things over the years, said Sam Presti was great but good lord we can’t tank (and, honestly, call it whatever you want but they have been tanking. Just at the worst time), talked about how this is such a wanted job. All the Reinsdorfs do is make half promises and talk half truths. Nothing about that press conference was reassuring to me
