  1. I respectfully disagree with both of these comments. Playing the other central teams for so many games got really old, at least for me. I got so tired of seeing the royals and guardians so often. I think interleague is fantastic for the game, although I am one that also likes to follow the rest of the league as I believe it enhances my fan experience. The Phillies, while they are older, have a lot of interesting names to watch and follow. Interleague is bringing Ohtani and the rest of the Dodgers to town next weekend, which is fantastic. I for one am ecstatic to see how our Sox match up with the best teams in baseball, two of arguably the best happen to be in the NL (ATL and LAD). Should be a great test.
  2. If beating us in 2024 is the basis for revenge….
  3. I am a Dan Plesac fan.
  4. The gauntlet begins Kay vs. Luzardo
  5. God so am I. His Sox fandom is so apparent. I hope one day he’s on our broadcast team. He seemed to indicate on a podcast with Chuck a few months ago that he would be really interested in doing so.
  6. I don't agree with the new schedule that makes every team play each other. I'd rather go back to playing the AL Central rivals 18-20 times a year and see the Phillies once every 2-3 years. Made interleague feel special too.
  7. Hopefully Tony and Jerry are nowhere near this process
  8. Sox battled back. Too bad our homers were solos
  9. Martin and Kay have been so reliable but both had lousy starts this week.....get em tomorrow.
  10. I mean Hudson was the right move, he just did not produce. I don't think using Dominguez was the wrong choice there, I would rather have Taylor for the top of the order the next inning. Now not taking out Kay earlier was not good
  11. This game is still very winnable. Let's get it, fellas.
  12. Swisher is truly the most offensive of all of them
  13. Honestly, yeah. It's a great state to live in for some reasons, but it is a horrible shithole for others.
  14. The Bears have a season ticket waiting list of 30 Years. If somebody drops there present season ticket plan there are thousands of people willing to buy them. They will sellout every game played in Indiana.
  15. "Pride and joy of Indiana" doesn't roll off the tongue as well and I don't trust Kevin Warren as a lyricist.
  16. Looks like Sox will avoid Sanchez and Wheeler.
  17. I know what the Schefter tweet and this statement says but I don’t think it is over yet. Still seems like posturing to me. Kevin Warren is useless.
  18. Yea physical sports aren’t going away in our lifetimes. Not sure why we are even discussing that in a thread about building stadiums
  19. Don't tell ha8is
  20. Hopefully with the extra rest his hamstring is fully healed
  21. Cali can put this one in his signature as well. 🤣
  22. Looks like that walk-off win didn't do much for the Cubs. They're down 16-0 to the Giants today.
  23. If the goal is to make me throw up a little in my mouth every time I go to this site, then this is absolutely the right choice for a new banner.
  24. Acuna will come in as a pinch runner and score the winning run to win round 1 of the playoffs....book it.
  25. Alright, Alright....stop rubbing it in for crying out loud.
  26. For my job I could double to triple my salary if I were willing to go into an office every day in Chicago or especially NYC. I have plenty of house, a yard, I am a mile from Lake Michigan which I can park at any day for free and see a sunset in my favorite bar on the beach. There are reasons I never left. The no commute part is definitely worth giving up some money for, as is the housing vs any other market around those metro areas. There is a reason I never moved to Illinois despite commuting there for 15 years.
  27. I would love to see him do this again when our Sox play them at Wrigley.
  28. Yeah I’m with you here. Most of the AL Central teams just aren’t all that interesting to me, especially with overexposure to them. As a baseball fan in general, I love getting to see teams like the Phillies that I otherwise don’t get much exposure to.
  29. Davis Martin didn't pitch with us until July. I think Benintendi, Fedde, and Leasure were the only ones on the team in April 2024
  30. Cause Indiana can f*** itself. No offense @southsider2k5
  31. I enjoyed Dan doing the broadcast and the Sox putting together some wins was a bonus. I agree with you about Plesac on the broadcast team.
  32. I dont know why people here would preference Alrington Heights over Hammond. Neither are Chicago and Chicago barely seems to want them at this point.
  33. The Phillies swept us in 2024 on our path to a 3-22 start. It would be nice to pay them back.
  34. Man, I was so thrilled when the Sox won the lottery because Roch was such a slam dunk that I felt they couldn't mess it up. Now I am almost terrified because I am afraid whoever the pick is, it will be wrong. LOL life of a Sox fan.
  35. I'm over interleague as a thing. I don't follow the phillies, i don't care about the phillies as they aren't competing for an AL playoff spot with us. we'll see if kay's smoke and mirrors can survive another night.
  36. I just will have a major Karen event if the White Sox value system timing with the bloody #1 overall pick over the best player available period. Criminal
  37. His contact rate in AAA is 68.8%. Colson and Mune both run low contact rates and have been successful, but they both lift the ball too (34% GB rate and 42% for Mune). It's hard to run a low contact rate (projecting around 65% in the big leagues, which would be 4th worst of qualified starters in MLB) and hit the ball into the ground and find any success. If they called him up and Mune came back, Sox could very well have 3 of the 5 lowest contact rates in baseball in their lineup.
  38. I guess I dont understand what is being alleged. The draft powers at be Shirley and Getz want the more ready Roch who can quickly go through the system for a winning window to open now, but that might be kiboshed by an 81 year La Russa influencing a 90 year old Reinsdorf who may sell the team as soon as 2029? How does that make sense?
  39. Isn’t HE… you know… the media?
  40. Well, Mune and Judge continue pacing each other lol
  41. Oops. (Looks like the PCA thread is closed.)
