  1. Every season is different and these guys are very entertaining. I am going to enjoy the ride. I think they should make the playoffs and that would be outstanding. It's just great to truly care about White Sox baseball again.
  2. I know Dominguez didn't pitch today or yesterday, but damn that is an epic fail to sign a guy to be your closer and he isn't used at any point in a pretty important game. Just damn.
  3. WTF. Did you see their June schedule by chance?
  4. Tonight has been a hilarious hot take read here. Pennant chasing life feels good again!!
  5. Only one of us is cringe in this weird ass conversation. Going 500 in June with that schedule was great for this team.
  6. Ya know how I know I’m getting old? Reading people freaking out about a loss in a 162 game season, sending them spiraling into talking s%*# about the same players they may love in a week. It’s baseball, not football. It’s a long season. Tip your cap and move onto the next game.
  7. And proving some us us right
  8. That Home run could possibly be a huge hit in this game, in this series, and maybe in this season. It feels like a huge shift of mojo.
  9. If I’m a Guardians fan I’m not thrilled with Vogt at the moment. Pitcher was toast last inning
  10. Ok Chase i will STFU Kudos to you
  11. Just terrible all around. Everyone is dumber for having participated in that inning
  12. You are beyond twisted over everything it seems. Are you related to Joejoe?
  13. I lived in Wisconsin for years. Their fans are far from miserable. They’re in pennant races virtually every year. Make the post-season virtually every year. They have a realistic shot at the World Series occasionally and they enjoy new stars quite often. Yeah, they lament losing their name guys but get over it pretty quickly once they start winning games again…virtually every year.
  14. Because of the pitching shortcomings it is hard to see them have a stretch where they can win say seven in a row or 12 of 14. The pitching just doesn't seem to be good enough to allow them to do that.
  15. June had them playing 4 of the top 7 teams in baseball without their team leader in OPS, there's not really a comparable stretch remaining in the year. The common take at the start of the month was that being within a couple games of .500 by July was a fine target.
  16. This Sox team has never really showed much carryover from one game to another, especially when playing poorly. Probably the best evidence of Will Venable's value IMO. They're not going to be favored in any of the remaining 3 games but this game doesn't affect my expectations about the rest of the series much besides the availability of some of the relievers.
  17. Bummer. Just means when I go Sunday it will be 3/4 instead of a sweep.
  18. What are you talking about? We just had a 4-2 home stand, and then took 2 of 3. Tonight wasn’t the best but “recent” play has been fine overall.
  19. Yeah and you're here for all of them, just none of the wins cause they're less funny I guess
  20. Seranthony kills us because he can’t be trusted in any close situation. Taylor shouldn’t have to cover 2 innings.
  21. Don’t trade any of the prospects. This team is dumb.
  22. He’s not a dog, he leads the team with hits and his OBP is second, he’s good with the glove. I think everyone wants a Ryne Sandberg.
  23. I can't wait til they DFA him because I hate 2-run HRs!!
  24. Well well well Chase just made you LOOK LIKE FOOLS.
  25. @joejoesox @ron883 WELCOME BACK
  26. Meidroth has to be one of the worst situational hitters in all the baseball. I like the kid, I like lots of his game, but he cannot be remotely relied on to move runners or bring runners in from scoring positions
  27. Who's turning the game off first, joejoe or pcintelligence?!
  28. Seems like after all-star break at this point
  29. Hit "subscribe" for more hard-hitting analysis.
  30. Huge Series. Let's sweep the leg!
  31. We turned Mead into Boston Smith (who is awesome), so the trade will still live on even after Davitt’s eventual DFA. Speaking of Boston, it’s his promotion that likely pushed them to make this trade.
  32. The Padres made the playoffs in 4 of 6 years. Yeah, I would take that.
  33. Exactly. We don’t need another overhyped “ace” that can’t either hit the strike zone or stay healthy. Take the guy that will contribute with his bat almost everyday, as well as with his glove.
  34. big series, big games. fun times.
  35. As I have stated before, Brooks is going to fight like hell to get Roch selected at 1.01 and we all know he has Jerry’s ear. And while Lackey has unique marketing potential per Caulfield by being “the first black catcher since Charles Johnson”, Roch has both the coolest first name ever and the most polish last name ever. Every man, woman, & child in Chicaogoland will adore this kid. When a player is both the most marketable, the most talented, and closest to the majors, don’t over think things and just take. I’m Team Roch and am confident the Sox are as well.
  36. Boston looks like he has some pop in his bat.
  37. I just browsed your posts from April and let me tell you, it wasn’t all tra la la from you either
  38. A budding superstar falls into your lap that can bring a country with him… YOU DO NOT LET THAT GO. Especially when said player expresses loyalty to this team. He’s staying and if he doesn’t I’m going to send Jerry some of my fucking s%*#.
  39. That's pretty dang confident. I am not so sure. I give it 50/50 or even less. I hope they're lining up long time sponsors if Mune's signs long term. That might be the only way JR pays for him. Some big time sponsors investing advertising in a winning team with an international superstar is like welcome to the big leagues JR . But if Mune goes to Free Agency the chances become much less. He has to be resigned before he hits the open market and would help a lot if Mune hits just as well after he comes back and the Sox win the division. Lots of factors in play here.
  40. 1) Agreed. My version of rich isn’t Reinsdorf’s. 2) That’s BS. I’ve paid my share already by 46. You should see what gets yanked out of my annual bonuses. I’m likely retiring to WI early on a lake with good fishing, close enough to my boys. Although SS2K5 is making Indiana sound as desirable lately. 3) Agreed. Being “rich” is different to everyone. It’s all perspective. 4) No thanks. I’m good. I’m on pace for my plan for eventual retirement as I sit here at 46 and will be able to leave my two kids with inheritance and fish all day. I just need to avoid being stupid and getting married for a second time. 🤣
  41. Easy 1-2-3 with 2K for McDougal Touching 99 and looking like a better deadline pen add than many names on the market...
  42. Two innings for Shane Smith, 34 pitches. 1 hit (single), no walks, 2K. Touching 97 with the heater.
