Good bonding moment between me and the gf. First ever game we watched together. She started to pay attention in the 7th, called Giolito Gelato, commented on how good Stone and Bennetti were, and then told me she wanted to watch more Sox games with me and that she was now a Sox fan.7 points

38 different players names if I didn't double count anything.6 points

Sox have best RD in AL and 2nd in baseball after LA. They lead baseball in WAR. Is this real life?6 points

I award you zero points, and my god have mercy on your soul. You just said that Abreu was roiding this weekend. GTFO.5 points

This is terrible call field. You didn’t even mention the guys in the topic but once? You should have titled this “Name Vomit”4 points

Trade Encarnacion, Mazara, Goins, and Collins for Madrigal, Vaughn, Sanchez, and Dunning, then ride or die.4 points

I would rather have Dunning or Stiever enter the rotation now than make this deal.4 points

And, amazingly, 0 Padres references within those 38. Very impressive3 points

Vaughn was the best hitter in college baseball in 2019, and absolutely will be MLB ready in 2021. I think you are underestimating how good of a hitter he is. Sox are rumored to be considering even calling him up in 2020 if Encarnacion did not show improvement.3 points

Fewer things more satisfying than kicking the crap out of clearly inferior teams. Nice to be on the opposing end of it (the right side). I remember 2 years ago going to see sox v dodgers, them coming up to the plate with everyone hitting like .900 OPS and them just beating the absolute snot out of the sox. Now that's us.3 points

Mendick is very similar to Yolmer. A good back up who people will come to hate if he's made a permanent every day player. Madrigal is going to hit .300/.350/.450 year over year and play in All Star games.3 points

I have said it and will continue to say it, pitchers and fans may not like it but they need to start forcing these pitchers to wear helmets on the mount. Maybe even with hard cages on them to protect their faces. With how hard the ball is coming off the bat nowadays, they cannot afford to wait for a life-altering injury or a death. Too many close calls. This can't be ignored.3 points

As bad as Mazara has been, I didn't realize his OPB was up at .344. The slugging is obviously embarrassing, but at least he's getting on base.3 points

I'd be ok with throwing a lottery ticket or two like Elijah Tatis into a Lance Lynn trade, just to sweeten the deal.3 points

I am OK with Cease pitching in the playoffs. In fact I welcome it. If he can get that kind of experience this year it will go a long way towards figuring out what kind of pitcher he can be going forward.3 points

Call me crazy, but there are a list of factors at play here. #1, we don't know for sure if there will be a baseball playoffs this year. #2, we have no idea if baseball next year will even happen, or if it does, what it will look like. #3, Lynn is a free agent in a season and a month. #4, We are not in the part of the window where we should be mortgaging short term gain for long term losses. I would rather not have Lynn, than give up a lot of significant future pieces for him. #5, even if we come up short this year, I am willing to do that in order to hold the future together. If I am giving up real pieces for a pitcher, I want at least 3 years of control in exchange.3 points

I would not trade Dunning for anyone right now. He's on the edge of being a great starter.3 points

I was at that game vs the Astros in late April 2018 when Giolito gave up 9ER in 2 IP while Keuchel cruised around our dogshit rebuild lineup with ease. I cannot understate enough how happy I am for Lucas and how absolutely pumped I am about the state of the White Sox compared to that night 2 1/2 years ago.3 points

I think we might see something happen. We've seen back-to-back-to-back-to-back HR's, a player hit 4 HR's in 4 straight AB's, 27 HR's in 7 days, and a No-No in 1 weeks time.3 points

Division. Pennant. Title. This team's got some magic. Change the Game. Don't Stop Believing.2 points

Clearly in my scenario Madrigal has more value. To me, Mendick just shows how much easier it is to find a viable 2nd baseman than a controllable starter.2 points

Are we paying relief pitchers for every warm-up pitch?2 points

Ha. I forgot about all the bunched panties after Keuchel threw 114 pitches during his last start. Yeah that really seemed to affect him.2 points

That was sick. i love recreating stuff like that and then asking people how high I got off the ground, only to be told I did not leave the ground2 points

You can't take Mendick out of this lineup when Madrigal returns. Either IL Moncada or throw Danny into RF.2 points

When you look at how bad the team’s 3rd base defense has been this year, it really illustrates how he needs to be on the IL to get right for the stretch. He’s hurting, and not helping, right now.2 points

I don't feel comfortable trading Madrigal for a pitcher that will be 34 next year.2 points

Actually an interesting name to consider would be a pending free agent in Trevor Bauer. For a 30 day rental, the price shouldn't be too bad, and Cincy is falling apart.2 points

There isn't much to say. He can't opt back in at this point and he can't be traded because he can't be added to the 60 man roster.2 points

If anyone is even close on their valuations of Lynn, I'm passing.2 points

I wonder how much it would take to keep McCann around? 30 million? 40 million? Whatever the amount is, the Sox need to do it.2 points

@Jack Parkman if anybody deserves credit here, it's me. I had this called in the 2nd inning. I was ONE WALK off from calling this game correctly. My eye for talent saw what Giolito had tonight. Give credit where credit is due, folks.2 points

Because we get so much of the opposite talk... Benettis 9th was masterful. It had me so amped.2 points

For the record, defensive positioning saved that no hitter on the last out. It was perfect.2 points

The White Sox should not be trading anyone in our system not named James McCann and only if it makes damn good sense. (SP or RF with control.) This team can build a dynasty. Try and keep ALL the young players. As much as I love McCann, and losing him would worry me. Im pretty sure plenty of teams are looking at him. Lets do the best we can during this weird season, continue to improve our young core and young bullpen arms. Less focus on McCann, Encarnacion and Mazara etc. I think they are all gone after this year. Lets see what options are available after this season things are changing everyday in this league.2 points
