Tony - "You really threw my guy out for arguing with those bad strike calls?" Umpire - "He also broke an unwritten rule." Tony - "Say no more. Thank you for your service."6 points
-
I will note that now the Sox have 6 of their own 1st round picks on the roster (including Vaughn) and now one of their own 2nd round picks.6 points

3/4 of Soxtalk after reading something positive about Tony:4 points
-
Shoutout to Lucas Giolito for being the one willing together tossed for standing for the players on this team over the crap ass strike zone4 points
-
The only weak and troublesome starter of the four is Keuchel who absolutely sucks and is our weakest starter in the rotation. Hopefully Rodon's last outing was an aberration.4 points

But Steve Stone said he doesn't care or try!4 points

I've never seen Major League 2 and honestly thought that was his real name.3 points

Many here owe TLR an apology over that signing. Everybody said signing Lamb was TLR's doing and that Lamb was trash.3 points

my Dr told me he's been treating a lot of his patients for long haulers symptoms post vaccination, he said about 1 in 5 are having negative effects from it not everyone who has been hesitant is some crazy trump/qanon conspiracy theorist edit: didn't word that well, he said 1 in 5 of his post vax patients are having negative effects, not 1 in 5 have long haulers symptoms3 points

So he is slightly below average in the middle of his slump. That's still not something to really get excited about.3 points

I may be in the minority, but I found Len quite boring when he filled in for Steve on the telecasts.3 points

I'm both rooting for him and surprised it's taking Soxtalk so long to turn on him in earnest.3 points
-
It has been quite a bit longer than a week. He has hit .212/.272/.319 for a 76 wRC+ since May 1st. He's long overdue for some time on the pine pony against RHP. Lamb is quite simply a better option right now against RHP.3 points

The Sox face an uphill battle in this trap series. They still may lose the next 3, but they won tonight! Solo homeruns!2 points

So your doctor thinks 27 million Americans are having negative effects? Time to dump Dr. Q.2 points

Would it have killed him to be a little fired up after Lucas got tossed? I guess baby steps, he actually came out to discuss it with the ump.2 points

No need to come out and defend your guys though.2 points

I'll always appreciate him for being part of the Tres Garcias OF2 points

Jerry to Carlos and Zach: Nice rings commemorating the no hitter. Rodon to Zach: Engraved commemorative watch and putter. Rodon to the entire team: Special Johnnie Walker Blue Bottles engraved with the No Hitter Date. Perhaps the biggest gift Carlos handed out were his well earned compliments of Zach Collins.2 points

I heard a woman say this on the phone to someone while I was in line waiting to get a coffee": " Stupid people who refuse to get vaccinated.... " I could not agree more.2 points

Yup it's a slump . When in a slump you can find all sorts of bad data . Look at Roberts, he sucked after a hot month. The good thing is Yermin has a lot more time than Robert to turn it around. I'm expecting good things from Yermin soon. How many RH hitters can bash .415 for a month. You could expect that from some lefties but probably not a whole lot of RHH . The guy can hit. He put the Sox on his back along with the starting pitching when Moncada and Abreu weren't hitting and Tim was out for a little bit. He's been an instrumental part of the team and while he's been slumping some other's have picked up the slack just as he did for them. It takes a team. I have his back.2 points

Your irrational hatred is something I don't know that I have ever seen before. Did Yermin steal your gold chains or something?2 points

That was about as fast as I have ever seen a post blow up on someone. Pathetic pivot after it blew up. The data IS there, if you want to see it.2 points

We need as many lefty hitters in the lineup despite the statistics showing Leury is a terrible left handed hitter!2 points

This is 100% wrong. The Sox still have five full years of major league control.2 points

Now that I think about it you are probably right about the Royals. A rivalry like somebody said is when there is a buzz in the crowd and between fans and in the media. Remember when newspapers were a thing and there'd be page after page of Sox versus Cubs stuff? All over the sportscasts on chicago channel 9, 5 and 2? Folks, the Sox only rival is the Cubs even if one has to be cool and say the rivalry does not exist. Look at the all-time results in the series? Very close. Even when it was a once a year exhibition game it was huge until the clubs started to play their minor leaguers in the game. For a while, Sox vs. Cubs midseason exhibition game was a thing in which the guys on the big league roster played the whole game. Cubs Sox rivalry, yes. All other series, no. There may be deep concern for certain series against Central teams but a rivalry? No way. How bout a cheap ticket since they play those teams 19 times a year. Just my take.2 points
-
No, it wasn't aimed at you, and I am in fact more pessimistic on Yermin than you are. I hope he figures it out but I'm surprised at how much rope this critical crowd is giving a career minor leaguer with a hot start that's fading rapidly into the rear-view mirror.2 points

If like me, you wanted to know more about the draft prospects Harold mentioned:2 points

I dont remember being rivals with the Royals or Tigers even when they were both good. It's been pretty much the Twins these past two decades no matter what. Some Indians sprinkled in.2 points

Honestly should just go triple a for a week or two easier to reset on easier pitching. He just isn’t adjusting to anything lately2 points

Yermin needs a day on the bench. I know yesterday was off, but I think the dude needs a hard reset. He’s been brutal the last week.2 points

So 3 times you call out Soxtalk and then "Loser south side people", yet I am speaking for "all"? Um, sure. Not sure why you are here with all of these people you are calling losers, but sure, I am the one who is discrediting people.1 point

You literally discredited the entire forum in your first post, but don't let that stop a mediocre rant.1 point

JR is known to be very good to his employees. Most people on this board think he is too loyal. I don't doubt the sincerity of the gesture. Doesn't mean it can't serve two purposes though.1 point

The Sox are the best team in the weak AL Central. They should win it. Doesn't mean they will. This team can't be so arrogant that they overlook anyone, and that includes the Tigers.1 point
