  1. After hearing Rick just now, I’m totally good on him resigning today right now this very minute

  2. i'm sorry guys. I'm gonna wait a bit on this one because I think Shane Riordan is a moron. He's probably going to be wrong in one aspect that makes the fact that he's wrong worse.

  3. TA knows he's the backup catcher if there isn't one, so he got a little salty.

  4. Ooh spicy. Absolutely love that this is going public. What an utter embarrassment of an organization.

  5. Since TLR returned, the White Sox have had only one steadfast rule which may not be broken: Never, but never, hit a home run against a position player pitching. Other than that, anything goes.

  6. My takeaway from this is that TA cares more than people think, or give him credit for.

  7. Some say get rid of TA, some say get rid of Grandal......

  8. I’m gonna go the other way here and defend Middleton. First of all, he’s a reliever, he doesn’t run the team. He can only do so much. Secondly, if you believe him, he did speak up when given the chance, in the players meeting in the losing streak. Third and the big one - I don’t see him having any benefit in saying this, rather the reverse, he felt it needed said so he did it. He’s a journeyman reliever, he’s now been on 5 teams, including a forever wishing they could compete LAA and a rebuilding Arizona. He’s burned his bridges with the White Sox, there will probably be other teams who would rather protect their clubhouse than have a bad culture be exposed, and frankly I wouldn’t be surprised if the White Sox’s front office is motivated to tell other Gms to stay away from him. He cost himself money here because seemingly he felt something needed to be said. The protect the locker room attitude is a reason why these guys are able to get away with treating the business like this. It takes some stones to break that to call out bad behavior.

  9. It’s been so exhausting being a fan of this team for about two full years now. Seemingly every story is negative and embarrassing.

  10. Grandal is a bad guy. Wow who could've ever guessed that. Not me that's for sure. Nope. Not me at all. I love that all this s%*# is finally coming out. This season has been like Christmas morning everyday.

  11. It doesn't matter what RH says about anything. He is as big a part of the problem as anyone or anything. Same can be said about KW and JR. Until they are all gone nothing with the Sox will change. The friggen culture can't change until all the current leadership is gone.

  12. Middleton is a middling reliever, but he has a reputation as being a solid guy. Not a malcontent. I believe he popped off for all his ex White Sox teammates who do give a f***. Pedro has to go with the rest of the clown car.

  13. As soon as we got these young guys they were touted as the next core to bring us to multiple playoffs and a championship by the front office, given contracts they never proved to deserve, fired the only manager who had any rules, and then hired an old fart and a guy from a bottom five organization. Nobody showed them how to win, nobody held them accountable from the beginning (by giving them money for just being a good prospect), nobody in the front office gave a s%*# so why should they? A majority of this "core" expected the success to be handed to them just like our great GM & owner handed them free money and basically told them they are going to win but never gave them the tools or environment to do so. This whole organization is a sham, top to bottom. They have no idea what they are doing and they don't give a s%*#

  14. Hahn say's they addressed the clubhouse issue at the trade deadline.... Rick you dick you traded the most likable player on the team. This guy is so full of crap.

  15. the comments make sense when you assume they shipped out the people that weren't "pulling in the same direction", i.e. a commitment to living fat and lazy and not airing public grievances. These guys made the mistake of wanting to win instead of just wanting to not do things that suck like attending meetings.

  16. I’m not one to stick up for TA, but which one is it? Everyone is saying the clubhouse needs a vocal leader who will speak up and lead the team. Fans cannot criticize the man for speaking up against bullshit like that but in the next breath complain that no one in the locker room is speaking up or taking control of the club house. Good on Tim for calling bullshit what it is.

  17. That "ill pay for his flight outta here" line would fit right in here at Soxtalk. Dive in Timmy, the water is salty but fine.

  18. Someone please find and remove the voodoo doll from whoever has it. seriously, what did we do as fans to deserve this? We patiently waited out a brutal rebuild, we bought in, we made the attendance bump significant, we bought tons of merch, and for what? Just to get repeatedly kicked in the teeth

  20. It’s why so many loved Burger this year. It was a guy who got the most out of his ability by running hard and hitting the ball in the air. He was the opposite of quite a few of the main guys.
    7 points
  21. Also goes to show you that it’s time to move on from some of these core guys who clearly aren’t leaders. I would have taken Montgomery and Burger 100 times out of 100 over Timmy/Yoan

  22. The saddest part about all of this is the fans of this team are probably more embarrassed by this stuff than the people in charge.

  23. A team should be able to withstand that. Our guys should be able to participate in the WBC. The fact that it apparently made a difference means the culture was shitty anyways But fathom is right. There needs to be a total house cleaning. Including Pedro.

  25. Rick Hahn is a bold faced liar. Chris Sale was right about him and Kw all along. Anyone have a 2023 Sox jersey to cut up? F this dysfunctional front office! Shame on any media member kissing up to that perennial failure!

  26. Grandal should’ve been DFA’d that day. This organization is a joke.

  27. Been saying on here since 2020 TA is a cancer. Internally it's been a battle with people who wanted him gone and others who wanted him to be the face of the team. Grandal was one of several who wanted to slap the s%*# out of him. It's not popular with this base but Keuchel was right, he just sucked. Lynn, Hendriks, and Abreu tried. This all seems coordinated at this point. Who and why?

  28. So Timmy officially has more fights than homers this year!! Just decline his option and move on. Let him face his demons on another team.

  29. There are rules in every grown up business. Middleton's problem was there was no consequence for skipping or arriving late to drills. It was all OK. No consequences for sleeping in the bullpen. And that was the pitchers. He insinuated the position players were far worse. Obviously, these players should have enough pride to do what ever they can to make themselves as prepared as possible. But many do not. Many are the product of being babied and placed on a pedestal their entire lives because they were good at baseball. It's probably why the quote about having your best players be your hardest workers, makes everything a lot easier comes into play here.

  30. Nah this actually makes it easier for me, because it confirms what i suspected

  31. Someone should confront Hahn with all of this. I wonder what kind of lawyer talk he’ll pull out of his ass on this one? You have 3 former players now coming out and talking about issues in the clubhouse. You have managers telling you not to hustle down the line. You have videos surfacing of players standing around during warmups. You have players trying to fist fight other players, while playing the victim. You have players spending 3-4 stints on the IL every year who make a butt load of $$. It’s obvious that there are a lot of players on this team who don’t GAF. They are more than thrilled to collect a paycheck and go. No wonder why Abreu couldn’t wait to leave. He was tired of being everyone’s Daddy. Or no wonder why AJ Pollock declined his player option to take less $$ elsewhere. As much as we threw shade at Dallas Keuchel, and as more and more time goes by- it’s evident he was right the whole time. Kenny and Hahn need to go. And if Jerry doesn’t have the balls to pull the trigger, then he needs to sell. The way he is handling this franchise now is completely reckless.

  35. Would agree if he was not shitting the bed for the 2nd straight season. If he didn't have a God complex. If he wasn't an asshole off the field. If he didn't alienate most of the orginization. In a vacuum you're right. Anderson definitely wasn't that guy ti be calling others out on their bullshit.

  40. I’m gonna be there. I expect to leave early to beat traffic after Cease throws 90 pitches in 4 innings and gives up 5 runs (with a crushing 3 run homer by Stanton after it looked like he could get out of the jam with minimal damage), while Cole strikes out 15 in 7 innings.

  41. Getting rid of him and eating the money is worth it, just like his fraud of an idol, Cano.

  42. This team has been the soap opera of the MLB for the better part of two decades now. Its non stop drama. The Sox have become the laughing stalk of baseball. Everyone who goes to a game from now on should don a paper bag.

  43. When you rise up in the white Sox, you learn the key to success is just don’t let out the secret and you can be safe, fat, and rich enough. The secret of course is just not to acknowledge how lazy and bad your co workers are, and of course, how lazy and bad you can be. Its why Marco Paddy can bring in half classes for 5 out of 10 years. It’s why our core always consists of listless players. It’s why all of Hahns deputies get promoted out of their positions instead of fired.

  44. Now you know why Grifol wants Salvy Perez so badly. He needs someone to do his job for him.

  45. If JR still doesn’t fire people after this train wreck of a season, he truly doesn’t care about anything but himself and his friendships. Between clubhouse dysfunction and leaks, and PR nightmares, it’s obvious- he truly doesn’t give a s%*#. Sad way to end your ownership tenure. Loyalty is revered by most in the sports industry, but being loyal to people destroying your franchise is a dangerous and toxic approach. The entire fanbase is disgusted and pissed off. And the national media has been calling out this team all season long. Something has to give here…
