Hmmm, I think it's nice to get something for a guy you are going to DFA, but upside prospects? The White Sox got the infield version of Derek Hill for Derek Hill. As noted, definitely nice to get something for a guy you're going to DFA, and more importantly nice to get a guy who has future value when you don't need the current value... but this is good process, and a likely nothing outcome.

Of course we are giving up international cap space.

The morning after the "new" Montgomery walkoff, the Kap and J Hood show actually led off talking White Sox. Honestly I was shocked the radio home of your Chicago White Sox didn't start as usual with Kap ranting how the Cubbies "LOST TO THE FRIGGIN ROCKIES" They also pretty quickly pivoted to telling Sox fans how to be fans and just enjoy the ride and don't worry about how much your team is being covered....they are not necessarily wrong but that is also pretty rich coming from those clowns.

I think (and hope) they can absorb more flame outs than last time because they have a more sustainable drafting philosophy and can actually develop talent. The early 2020s Sox were almost entirely built from the Sale, Quintana and Eaton trades and when those guys didn't work out they had nothing behind them.

I am reaching here but with Colson taking a few days off Acuna jr is getting playing time. In the last 7 games Acuna jr is batting .500/.538/.583 and 4 stolen bases. It's a very small sample but if Acuna jr could keep it going he will only help the team as the team's utility infielder, fingers crossed.

A lot of those hineybirds flew into picture windows when their heads were up their asses. They don't know what to do with themselves now that they can't lead the charge to burn it all down and curse all things White Sox. Never could see the forest for the trees. It was quite the cult for a while.
