  1. This franchise put up literally the worst season the the 125 year history of major league baseball under Jerry Reinsdorf, and now sits dead last in MLB in revenues. Your "threat" rings hollow at best, hilarious at worst.
  2. Didn't even bother turning this game on after last night. Detroit is going to sweep these bums. Season was all smoke and mirrors. Another poorly managed, poorly coached team. Awful trade deadline made the team worse. Useless players on the roster, getting playing time. Terrible manager always pushing the wrong buttons. Pitchers shitting the bed. Hitters with no approach and zero ability to adapt. No plate discipline. No gameplan. Aside from a hot streak and career years from a few players, how is this team any different from the last few seasons?
  3. I blame this on WestEddy coming in and prematurely announcing the I told you so's
  4. If Doyle had not been pinch hit for by Braden, Peters could have been in left instead of Antonacci. The game ends on Rochios's at bat when Peters catches that ball. Doyle had 2 hits already and Braden has been cold. Braden still could have been inserted into RF for the bottom of the ninth Peters moved to left.
  5. The White Sox are the girl that just keeps cheating on you. You think she finally stopped doing it after a year or so, and she rips your heart out again. Not sure how anyone can blame the fans here. This organization sucks.
  6. She’s from Washington. I bet she knows not to trade for Mariners pitchers that are struggling.
  7. Venable has accepted your challenge
  8. Good luck convincing me this isn’t a coaching issue
  9. A common denominator is Venable poor managing of the pitching. If he brings in Schultz today, instead of the overworked Newcomb we probably win this game. And he doesn’t start Murphy yesterday,we would have won that game.
  10. Will is 100% amateur hour as manager
  11. Yep. This team is cooked. That loss last night was soul crushing and killed any confidence they may have had to finish the season strong. That's what happens when your manager gives the game away.
  12. This is a 70 win team disguised as a "contender" because of how bad the division is. That being said, would still happily watch playoff baseball over nothing even if they have no chance at the World Series. They still end the season with 6 games against the Royals and Rockies, its not over yet.
  13. He clearly showed he couldn’t handle a pennant race
  14. Close the book. The truth be told this team ultimately turned out to be just another crappy team with a horrible manager. And the CHSN app still sucks.
  15. Is there a delete button on here? Asking for a friend
  16. I know everyone wants to nit pick on players and where they are hitting but no one is playing well to be anywhere. Pham hitting dh shows how bad the season is currently going but when you have lead off triple and vargas is supposed to be a run producer cant even make contact to lift the ball for a sacrifice fly is horrible. The team has regressed badly and is playing like the last 3 years of 100 loses. Both players and coaches need to be held accountable cause this is inexcusable.
  17. 5 points
Between the deadline and the Pham stuff, Getz’s reputation has taken a giant tumble. He’s getting roasted everywhere now.
  18. Mune is 5 for 51 with 31 strikeouts this month. I don't THINK Pham could be worse.
  19. He'll stab you for saying this.
  20. I'm still pissed about yesterday
  21. Ishbia doesn't know Chicago, the South side, the White Sox or anything about running a MLB franchise. Things could deteriorate for this franchise for years to come after he pulls off this shot.
  22. Someone needs to lose their job for the Castillo acquisition
  23. Newcomb and Taylor have combined for 14.2-12 runs this month. This is why you don’t abuse your relievers with crazy pitch counts
  24. This loss wouldn't of hurt so bad if last night didn't end the way it ended
  25. So this was all a joke, you’re forgiven and the Pope has given you special dispensation.
  26. It's not over til it's over though, guys! Was it over when the Nazis attacked Pearl Harbor? Hell nah! Let's gets some runs, boys!
  27. Glad we didn't extend Mune, that's for damn sure.
  28. Well I've had a blast watching them this year and think there are better things to come, I have a lot of problems with the manager, GM and coaching, but the players are fun as hell to root for. I'm disappointed myself after an amazing first half, but I didn't expect much out of them this year at all.
  29. You probably just got Caleb hit by a bus.
  30. At least the Getzpologists got to say that the Pham move was good for a few minutes in this game. 🤣
  31. Who knew Doyle, Murakami and Acuna would mean a quick inning. We can call them the murdered row.
  32. Pham batting cleanup is the joke of the year.
  33. Tommy Pham batting clean up is a fireable offense. THIS ISN'T A SPRING TRAINING GAME.
  34. Messick being Messick just amplifies the utter stupidity of Venable using a crap-ass RP as a starter last night. Treating yesterday's game like it was game 6 of the season and not taking it serious. Still so salty.
  35. This is embarrassing, regardless of what Pham does in the game — good or bad.
  36. That is a level of self belief and craziness that you have to respect on some level
  37. Getz flat out failed this roster. And yea, this team has regressed to the point that I don’t think it would shock anyone if they lose 90 game.
  38. Maybe Pham will sign with a team like the Cardinals and Will would join him
  39. Why in the world would anyone be in “no doubles” in that situation?
  40. So you're saying there's a chance?
  41. It is amazing how this front office and coaching staff try to big brain everything. Pham starting against one of the best starters in the league after not having an AB for 14 days and not playing in an MLB game since April before that 1 AB is just crazy to me
  42. Colomes hat does not conform to time zones
  43. They win this game without Murphy opening the game. Keep defending this awful awful manager though. I would take Renteria every single time over Venable
  44. The issue here is not Antonacci’s hitting. The issue is his defense on the bottom of the ninth in a one run game. We needed a real outfielder out there for defense, not a second baseman baseman Excellent comment. Venable is also providing awful explanations of his bad decisions, and doubling down on them. He has now cost us a few games with his bad in game decisions and bad roster construction.
  45. You hire a minimum wage manager with no skills or experience, this is what you get. Too cute by half using a useless opener today cost us 3 runs. Then "the book" says go with all righty/lefty matchups in the early or middle innings. Let's not have the gold glove outfielder in the game so you can move Peters to left in the 9th. Utter managerial malpractice. We should have been up 6-2 in the 9th and win going away. When we lose tomorrow (and believe me, we will), we leave town with ZERO margin for error, instead of up 3 games. I'm done!
  46. I'm so fucking pissed. And I got a sinking feeling that was coming in the 9th given what CLE has been pulling recently. Just get back on the horse and win tomorrow. But damn we had them there about to be put in a vise and ofcourse they fucking escape again. Take the rubber match, let's fucking go
  47. Venable is stubborn. I agree that he's also learning BUT he's not adjusting and keeps making the same bad managerial decisions. He might be a great player's coach and his players want to play for him but his game time decisions leave a lot to be desired.
