  1. Vaughn RBI triple, as the gods foretold

  3. How much longer is Pedro going to keep TA hitting second? TA has failed to set the table for Luis, like Benintendi is now doing leading off and taking walks. TA defense has also been poor. He failed to cover second in the bottom of the 9 th. Fortunately, we had a big lead tonight. In any game TA plays, he should be hitting in the bottom of the lineup. These actions are no brainers. IMO.

  5. I would have more confidence in this if I didn't know Lynn was about to go back out there.

  6. I feel like you gotta IL Tim and give him a chance to get healthy (if that has been a factor in him underperforming). Roster moves: -TA to 10-day IL -DFA Clint Frazier (clear a 40-man spot for next move) -Select the contract of Erik Gonzalez for backup IF (if Sosa is still out) or Nate Moundou (a left-handed hitter) for lineup balance -Recall Colas

  7. What's the shame is, as Tim struggled he could have been more humble and less arrogant during his struggles at the plate. If he would have kept his mouth shut and just told the media and fans he was trying his best and will continue to do so, then maybe we would have more time to reflect on the good years Tim gave us.

  8. I'm as puzzled as anyone. But benching a former batting champion for a guy with a career 700 OPS in the minor leagues is not a no brainer.

  9. When it really comes down to it, Anderson shouldn't be in the lineup at all. He hasn't hit all season, and his head isn't in the game. His drop off is amazing. I don't know what is going on with him, but his career is in real jeopardy. Elvis can't hit, but he'd give you more than this. There should be some kind of intervention with Anderson because he is falling apart.

  10. Kind of like they're one of the few teams in baseball that would never consider moving Yoan Moncada to another position.

  11. During the game I mentioned that LRJ's homer reminded me of one he hit last year to about the same spot. I took a look at the box score for that game exactly a year ago, and it's actually uncanny. Other similarities between these two games besides the twin HRs: The White Sox win in Anaheim on June 28th, scoring 11 runs on 17 hits and 4 walks. Barria and Loup pitched for the Angels. Multi-hit, multi-RBI game for Seby. 3 hits for the Sox starting 1B. Sox 2 hitter went 0-5 with a BB and run scored. The Sox SP gave up two solo shots in a 3 batter span. Only one GIDP in the game, both hit into by TA. I could go on, but once I noticed the first thing, I started to worry that I entered some kind of time loop 😅

  12. In the college World Series they had starting pitchers going 150 pitches. I am sure there was no pitch count. However, I would be concerned about arm injury at that many pitches. But it can be done. In MLB back in the day starters went longer and there were many complete games.

  18. With all the struggles this year, I still feel with exception of Benintendi, he's our best guy in terms of not giving at bats away. I wish the average were higher, but he's flailing a lot less out there than most Lineup tomorrow night should be Benintendi Vaughn Robert Jimenez the rest

  34. Burger is down to a 113 wRC+ and over the last 30 days is hitting 182 and rocking a 234 OBP and a 600 OPS. Frankly, it looks like he was a flash in the pan and has been figured out. Nice story, but a hot 4 weeks doesn't make a season or career. On this sad sad team he stood out for a minute but now he's hitting like a poor man's rob deere.

  36. There is absolutely no way that TA's off field issues aren't the main reason for his on field performance. Those of you who are married know exactly what I am talking about. I am kinda shocked his wife hasn't filed for divorce yet but she is probably been told to wait until after he is traded and signs a new contract. He is the typical Narcissist in that he doesn't put the entire blame on himself for his insanely bad choices.

  37. How Anderson is not moved down and Remillard moved up shows that this organization is beyond screwed up. How he is catered to is amazing. I don't know what Remillard is or will be but I know they stick with players that are beyond awful for much longer.
