Yanks look practically unbeatable this season, but we can do it. Though am anxious about our pitching for sure. Also, I didn't see an introduction thread? Sorry if I missed it but new here so just wanted to say that I have been a fan since I was in middle school(Mid 30's now) and live outside Winston-Salem. Became a fan due to the Warthogs(Now Dash) being Sox affiliates. Been to see games in Charlotte and Kannapolis also. Also a teacher. Anyway, looking forward to getting involved in the forum.?9 points

Tony La Russa is by far the worst manager amongst all the competing teams. We sat through a 5-6 year rebuild only for Jerry Reinsdorf to ruin it with this hire. TLR is incompetent, unlikable, clueless, and has cost this team far more wins in a year plus than he has won. And that is what we were promised. It's been nothing of that.6 points

Of course I hated the hire. I was happy when Hawl fired him in 1986. But he hooked up with Oakland when they were ready to win and won with them, then when they got bad he was able to move to perhaps the best run team in baseball for more than a decade, and got tons of accolades for that. The question I have is he has been back in the White Sox dugout for around 200 games, can you think of 1 time the HOF baseball person schooled his counterpart? I can't4 points

Yet they still have ATMs in the park. They should make them so you can throw cash in them and a card come out you can use at the concession stands. Maybe I need to write JR about joining his organ I zation. The other thing that sucks is you have to either tip or hit a button to skip the tip when using plastic. Sorry, I don’t need to tip someone $2 to hand me an Aquafina they are charging me $7. You’re charging that much, you should be able to pay your workers a respectable wage.4 points

I have been down on Dallas as much as anyone but credit where credit is due tonight. He shut them down and gave the Sox a chance. Great to see the team really compete tonight especially in that bottom of the 9th. Let's get this split!3 points

The Sox are 4 games over the .500 mark since last years All Star break plus 1-3 in the playoffs. Unfortunately it looks like that's what we have on our hands, basically a .500 team with some serious flaws. The handwriting was on the wall and during the off season the FO refused to address the needs of the team, shame on them.3 points

I was thinking we borrow Jose Ramirez instead so we can return him as an impatient hitting groundball machine.3 points

Credit to Dallas tonight. We really, really needed that performance.2 points

Be fair man. You cant frame a pitch when the pitcher misses his spot like that. Like Stone said you won't get that call when the catcher has to reach.2 points

Lies, all lies. I've been told you have to spend at LEAST 35 million on your bullpen.2 points

It's not just that they're good hitters, but this lineup was desperately missing the way Yoan & Vaughn grind out ABs2 points

The guy who had an 8.54 ERA 3rd time through last year should not be allowed to face Aaron Judge for a 3rd time.2 points

Blake Rutherford with his 5 HR this season. His batting average is also up. He’s still relatively young. I wonder if getting dropped from the 40 man roster motivated him. If he can sustain that power he might be worth a look/trade.2 points

We went out and signed the top FA catcher on the market and we got a 112 and 157 OPS+ the last two years. Would have preferred his leg didn't fall off, but a top offensive catcher - one of the few players on our team that draws walks, I really don't regret it and shudder to think how we try to replace him in a couple years2 points

So I've just started watching a Sox game in 4K for the first time, its neat seeing us not work counts in even higher definition2 points

Not sure if it's being hot or what but this feels like the series in Houston last year.2 points

There is a silver lining to these past two games we should consider. I bet heavy on the Yankees as favorites and won some nice cash. Will pay for the Roache family vacation in a couple of weeks.2 points

What? The White Sox win DESPITE TLR, not because of him. Of course you don't hear anything when we win. He's so far down the list of reasons we win, he's not worth mentioning.2 points

Yeah, not having a salary cap is the problem. Owners that refuse to spend = non competitive baseball.2 points

The Sox have to win the Central to make the playoffs. There isn't any WC coming out of the Central. They are going to have to make some changes soon as far as Abreau and the log jam of DH's on the team as well as upgrading 2B somehow. If Lynn comes back strong and the rest of the starters stay healthy they should at least be in the hunt to win the division. At this point that is all you can hope for. Just make the playoffs and see what happens.2 points

I keep going back to his comments in ST about taking it year by year (about his future baseball career). His play and effort reeks of someone just going through the motions.2 points

I tell u one thing. If Sox lose all five to KC next week or 4 of 5, there should be a housecleaning. Hahn, Tony, hitting coach all should be fired. No excuses. Sox already have sucked vs. the Central and should be "ready to play," if this team is capagle of being "ready to play." Five game series can be weird. If the Sox lose game one of the five game set, look out. But if you lose all five, I'm serious, heads have to roll.1 point
