  1. I so wish he stayed here. God this organization is so awful. Why do we continue to be fans.

  2. One year after the Sox wouldn't give Rodon a QO,he was paid $21,5 million by SF, and guaranteed $162 million by the Yankees. How do these clowns still have power to make baseball decisions?

  3. JR definitely doesn’t deserve any more of our money. I’m probably not going to give him any more of mine.

  4. If we can simply combine the strengths of all these guys, I think new LF Andriachel Confallo would be a fan favorite.

  5. Dying over here. So what is it about? Homegrown talent? Because Jerry has shown Frank Thomas, Mark Buehrle, and Jose Abreu the door. He also didn't spend on the draft when he could have and the Sox don't spend on scouting compared to other franchises. Is it about a fan experience? Because while I love The Cell (the only park I've ever known), he had the chance to have Camden Yards with the Chicago skyline in the background. Or the beautiful Armor Square Park design that has floated over the years. Instead, they've spent millions fixing a blighted stadium ridiculed for initially being a cookie cutter eyesore. I will note that the Cell has the best food in the majors and the lower level is phenomenal. Upper Deck sucks ass, especially compared to other stadiums. Oh, let's also remember that he passed up the name Wintrust Field at Comiskey Park, the ultimate good will name with fans, for a giant down arrow. Jerry has one thing: He's a loyal man. It's commendable. But his loyalty has also destroyed another shot at winning that didn't require winning at any cost because he had to bring back a has-been manager who couldn't stay awake in dugouts.

  9. Good lord, so how are you related to JR? Cause this post is just hilariously awful.

  10. Lmao, yea I still want Cuban. It’s the other owners that don’t want him, because they know he would come in and be just like Cohen and run up the tab in a FA spending spree, which the old heads hate tray just hates a good time that’s all

  12. Btw, for all the talk of Joey Gallo's defense declining (true, but it's still average at worst), why is Benintendi automatically referred to as a good defender when the same metrics are lower on him than Gallo?

  13. Firing or forcing people out also requires hiring of better replacements. Not something I would want to entrust to Musk.

  14. But we already got Victor Reyes

  15. And we’ll be saying the same thing about Giolito in a year. And then Cease and Kopech. Then maybe Crochet and Noah Schultz and Christian Mena. Sox would always rather err by getting rid of guys than committing to someone and have it blow up in their faces. I suspect they learned the wrong lesson from John Danks.

  16. Montas and Rodon in the Yanks rotation. Dear god so much good talent has been squandered here.

  17. The Sox tanked multiple seasons during this span and they're still bottom 5 on the list looooool basically all of that WAR is from Madrigal too, right?

  18. They’ll announce Peralta this time tomorrow like a good Friday night news dump.

  19. "White Sox biggest lineup deficit is their catching" is really all I needed to hear to know this guy doesn't know jackshit beyond the Jays perhaps being interested in Liam. Trading Liam for Jansen would be an awful move for the Sox. The Jays also need LH OF so they can't really help us there. Do not like them as a trade partner at all.

  22. Every single MLB franchise is stronger because they all collectively reap the benefits of the teams that do spend money. Teams that win. TV money, Advertisements, Concessions, Parking - it makes it almost impossible not to turn a big profit. Thats why the Sox and every single team is stronger. Its not because Reinsdorf did something. He is a smart business man who had the money to buy a team and now is reaping the benefits. The measure of a successful franchise is winning. That's why they play the game. And the Sox haven't won enough, period. There is a reason why teams like the Dodgers, Yankees, Padres, Astros, etc are constantly in the playoffs. They spend money to win.

  23. Elon would be a disaster. The Sox are in bad enough shape without this guy making things worse.

  24. I’m in utter disbelief anybody could refer to Jerry being a “good steward” of the White Sox. No owner has done more to waste the significant potential of a major sports franchise other than Doland Sterling.

  25. After all Mark Cuban clearly bailed on the Mavericks and did nothing to improve that franchise or provide stability.

  26. The Reinsdorf group have be good stewards of the White Sox franchise for 4 decades. I prefer that stability over a get rich quick billionaire who wants to throw money around and then probably bail like Musk is probably going to do with Twitter. Young people are often consumed by myopic views. The last popular fanboy choice to purchase the White Sox was Mark Cuban. No thanks.

  28. There is really only one alternative in resolving this position and his name is Benintendi. The guy is a gold glove LF, who hits for average and gets on base. He is far superior to Joey Gallo (the strikeout machine), and probably has some kind of relationship with Grifol. He would be an ideal #2 hitter in our lineup.

  33. Musk is another ‘thinks he’s the smartest man in the room’ person who would run the Sox into the ground by meddling in everything. Twitter has nearly crashed & burned over the past month+ under his “watch”, don’t let him anywhere near the Sox or any baseball franchise.

  35. I would be more than happy if Musk would come in and throw money around. He is a man of action and wouldn't be satisfied with 2nd place.

  36. He definitely has an attitude and his management of the Mavericks isn’t without issue (I believe there were some notable sexual harassment issues from some of their top staff a few years ago) but he took over that franchise when it was undervalued and said that they were going to sell out that arena every night. They were going to be competitive and make regular playoff appearances and set a solid standard of excellence in basketball to grow their fan base in one of America’s largest cities. He did that, he put a regularly competitive team on the floor, and now the Mavericks are a way more valuable product than the one he bought. His antics got him on the news but the idea of investing in one’s product and being rewarded by customers for it - that’s the thing Reinsdorf would hate.

  37. Please don’t be Gallo. Please please don’t be Gallo. I wouldn’t be pissed at an outfield of 10D, Robert and Colas. I’d look forward to seeing that switch to plus defense with a healthy mix of floor and upside. Eloy needs to DH
