  1. Look if you want to worry about another dude's penis, that is your business, but please keep it out of the threads

  2. Just in case anyone was wondering. They are bad at the thing Getz said they'd be good at. Also, they were 25th last year.

  5. As someone who has been coaching 11-13 year olds for about 2 years now, this is a misconception. The majority of the balls I see get hit to RF because the majority of these kids all swing late. I use to think with the same mindset of stick the worst kid in RF but that was quickly proving to be costly. At least for the 11 year olds and up range.

  7. I'm not super high on prospects in general but I don't want him around anyone who may be called up. Not entirely his fault but the only culture he's brought is a losing one.

  8. Should have thrown Wilson last inning and Kopech this inning.

  10. In his last 10 games Maldonado is hitting a lusty .000. He's hitless in 20 at bats.

  11. These guys were studs on defense until they got here. The coaches must be teaching then a new way to handle run downs.

  16. if there's one good thing about being historically bad it's that anybody we're going to beat is going to feel like absolute dog s%*# if it happens.

  17. Eloy injures his eye with his broken bat. Only the white sox man, only the white sox.

  18. If Fedde looks like a mid rotation pitcher, he will give a nice return. If he looks more like tonight on a regular basis, he will bring a Kings ransom.

  22. 5 home runs and 7 rbis...we would be making a statue for that guy on the South Side.

  23. The most likely scenario is they work out a deal with the city/state for a new ballpark and Reinsdorf leaves the team to his son.

  24. Not only do the other proposed cities make zero sense financially. MLB owners will absolutely block any attempt by the Sox to ever move out of Chicago. Revenue sharing is a thing, Chicago is the 3rd largest media market in the league, and if the Sox ever did leave the Cubs, Milwaukee, and StL would block any future expansion into the market. Zero percent chance the Sox leave regardless of what Jerry wants you to believe.

  25. My advice to anyone here with a young kid they want to put in baseball is to have them learn to play catcher. It is the most important position at this age. Any kid that gets to first you might as well just let them go straight to third. Its impossible to throw them out stealing second because none of the pitchers can hold a runner and they all have slow deliveries. If you can get someone to block the ball and be able to make throws from catcher the third on those steal attempts it literally will eliminate multiple runs per game. My kid unfortunately is just scared of the ball so I can not get him to drop down and block the ball but man we have nailed a handful of runners at third that get too big of a lead and throwing straight from catcher to third to pick them off. If you can get your kid to block the ball and the arm is good, its pure gold for kid pitch little league. I would take someone like that over any other type of player.

  26. The reason Getz got the job is because he would take it and kiss the ring. Payroll is down huge. The first question any candidate from another team would have asked him would have been about payroll and budget. If JR was straight wtih them, they would have ended their candidacy right after they got done eating the meal JR bought them.

  27. Someone is trying to argue missing Moncada, Robert and ILoy for 20 games is all the difference when this team has been outscored 123-45. If all 3 of them were that good, they would make Ohtani look like he's making minimum. And they played about as much as they ever play last season and the team lost 101 games.

  28. Poor guy seems lost. Just the look on his face walking back from another strikeout. On a personal level, I feel terrible for the guy. Drop him down to AAA, just so he can feel what it's like to go on a bit of a tear, again.

  29. I find it odd that the Bears would put in over $2B into a stadium they would not own.

  30. Moncada is in his 9th season and Jimenez is in his 6th. Between the 2 of them they have exactly 2 seasons where one of them had a WAR over 2. Both of them were Moncada. 2019 (5.2) and 2021 (4). "Star" players have career low years of 2 WAR.

  31. Sox have the most flexible 40 man in the league. Like 30 people don’t belong on it.

  32. I’m in my early 40’s. Last I remember, you are old enough to be my dad, but I won’t stoop to your level of taking personal shots. If no one on this board could post about Sox players performances, there would be hardly any posts. Also, it isn’t a slump when sucky players suck. It is reality.

  36. A bunch of DFA candidates, just like I told you during Spring Training when you were getting excited about Nicky Lopez hitting well. Meanwhile, you were busy hyping up the rotation including guys like Soroka and Flexen as trade candidates because they had one or two good seasons like 3 to 5 years ago before injuries ruined them, all the while arguing with anyone who logically disagreed with you.
