  1. Not really. It means they sold at peak value. The return is a different story. They bought low on Eder. And if you look around Eders trend line as he gets innings back on his arm, he's trending forward. Last 3 starts are a 4.02 era, 23 Ks in 16 innings including a .421 BABiP

  2. Still chuckling about the victory lap his biggest fan took here after a 2 hit game. He's been awful offensively, awful defensively, and the Sox pitching is bottom 5 in the league in pretty much every category. Tough to discern what exactly he is accomplishing. If he's such a great guy to have around, make him a coach. That said, Sox don't really have anyone else to plug in until Stassi returns from injury (and his 60 days are up end of month), so best case scenario we still have a few weeks of watching him look helpless.

  3. Time's must be really rough for your ego if you're trying to give people the I WAS RIGHT for this move.

  4. Maldonado 9 for 91, unveiling the new Maldonado line of .100, to go along with the better Mendoza line of .200. Hard to explain why Getz expected a better batting average from Maldonado , and on a team that needs more offense. Fortunately, some of our hitters have been improving and the pitching has been good lately. We may not lose 120 games anymore.

  5. Not saying they’d be good, but it would have been nice for this team to not start 3-22.

  11. I’m not saying the offense is good but it at least looks semi competent with the recent additions. With Crochet, Fedde, and Flexen settling in at the top of the rotation, this team might actually win some games this month and next.

  12. If we benched guys in this franchise for lack of hustle or shitty play we couldn't field a team. Talent wins. Get anybody with any hint of it up here. Vaughn and his 70 level jib can go simmer in Charlotte.

  13. Leasure is a great last name for a reliever. I wonder how much having a name like Bummer fucks with you psychologically

  15. Ramos just has a presence and is excited to play and especially bat, compared to Moncada it's night and day as far as energy.

  16. I know Colas hasn’t been good and I know the org is not a fan, but the obvious answer to an AV demotion (which prob won’t happen) is Sheets to 1B and Colas to RF.

  17. DeLoach has been in the 600s for OPS (in Charlotte!) with little power recently...has something changed? He profiles as average to below average defensively so I guess that should fit right in.

  18. Didn't you want Crochet to go back down to the minors this year? They were drafted in the same year. What's the difference in the big scheme of things if he's a year behind?

  19. I think there is zero chance that Fedde is here post trade deadline. He should probably be traded for a bat given how many holes we have currently. From my perspective, your 2025 rotation should be Crochet, three kids, and some sort of cheap vet in FA. The rest of our money needs to go to the offense.

  20. Thank god for Rick Hahn. Who would have guessed that his graveyard hour trades for Lee and Quero, Nastrini et al would be the last decent talent we’d see enter the org for the foreseeable future. All hail haber and his computer, much preferable to org chart Getz

  24. I was certain they were a 120 loss team a couple weeks ago. I no longer see that as a certainty. I’m thinking ~110 now. Still terrible but not record setting. And we’re seeing some positive signs from young guys like Leasure and Ramos, which is really nice to see.

  25. He's been good since the day he joined the organization. May have had an injury too minor to sit out with. Maybe just a bad streak. People go back to what they are over the long run. But don't mind me. I've been on The Bryan Ramos Train for 3+ years.

  35. All I can say is thank god Getz didn’t take the Corbin Burnes package (or anything even close to it). This return is light years better than what the Brewers got. What in the hell were the Brewers thinking? Geezzz

  36. Bruh, who is WE? 90% of this board knew this was going to be a 100 loss campaign. Aint no we thought this was a .500 team.

  37. Corner outfield is where you stick your sluggers and hope they can play defense well enough to not give up more runs than they produce. Kyle Schwarber was a starting outfielder on a team that went to the World Series. Yes, to an unbiased observer, Gavin Sheets is good enough defensively to justify putting his bat in a major league lineup. That’s not white sox apologia, that’s just a basic understanding of how professional baseball is played. You seem to want to deny reality to make a point about how bad the Sox are. This team is bad enough that you don’t need to make up things on top of it to help make your point.

  39. No, it’s not a very good free agent class. Go get Alonso though. f*** it. Next year should be better than this year but I still wouldn’t expect them to be competitive.
