  1. No you’re not correct. Try to keep up. The important parts are Ishbia dropping Twins bid after being really far down the road toward ownership and the Reinsdorf’s approaching Ishbia as the impetus to buy more shares and drop the Twins. Those are the most importabt details. I have no idea when Ishbia might get control of the White Sox. But I’m pretty certain that he didn’t give up the Twins for a coke and a smile and the chance to help Jerry Reinsdorf build a new stadium.

  3. the thing i think all can agree on: The Sox said something to ishbias to make them turn around and drop Minnesota, and it has to have been interesting. Because Minn was going to be full total control around opening day. and because this is not fantasy land you can bet that thing that was said is down on paper. it's probably that theyve worked something out where jerry can operate the team a few more years and then steps aside

  8. Burn. Well..the only thing that mattered today was Smith Schultz Teel and Braden Montgomery. Unless you're a fan of Nick Maton at age 28. Or your former Rays' utility guy Tristan Gray obsession...another homer. Pretty sure I'm one of only a handful of Sox fans in the world waking up at 5 am to follow two SS spring training games that are not being broadcasted except Brewers' radio for one of them lol.

  11. I don’t disagree, although you have to have some AAA depth on your 40 man roster in the event of injury. Fletcher should be kept until someone better with options comes along and I haven’t seen that person yet. Colas is probably just a function of bringing in a new leader on the hitting side of things and making sure he’s had a proper chance to evaluate the player before moving on.

  12. Yeah. He could easily see it as "I'd rather own and control a team in Chicago in whatever, 2/3/4/5 years rather than own the Twins now." He's also only 47.

  18. They have no actual local TV deal, since they're one of the teams Diamond pulled out of. That is a fairly recent development, so might have had some affect once he had a chance to dig into the books. https://www.mlb.com/news/twins-broadcasts-distributed-by-mlb-2025

  21. You put a 2 time all pro at LG and leave him there. Thuney even at his age is still a stud. I imagine Jackson now kicks to RG where he does have some experience there. I hope the Bears trade down to around mid 1st and gain some more draft capital. Get a lineman (D or O) and gain more draft assets to fill holes. RB class is very deep. You can easily get a great back in the 2nd or even 3rd round.

  22. I actually don't really care. The fact that a Padre fan is scoreboard watching 12 games into an exhibition season to see if his team will have the worst record in spring training is the buried lead here.

  33. I don’t like trading picks - but these are good trades. Creates depth and upgrades oline while bringing in some vets to also stabilize and help locker room / system. Last year we traded these types of picks for backups - which was stupid - this year you get two interior linemen who will start and you know you have them where as free agency is an unknown. Now they should have a lot of flexibility to go dline or oline early in draft but not have to start a 2nd round guard (for example) asap. Let him grow into role or take your LT and a guard with your 2nd or 3rd. Tney have cap space so now curious if they so go Dalman too. But this is the start - need to also have some more young talent in oline pipeline too.

  34. Who cares they have a rookie QB they can afford that. It’s nfl contracts. Thuney is great. The FA guards are ass, this lets them try to find guards thru draft / converting Kiran

  40. Two quotes from Hayes article that you consider "essential." "People with knowledge of the situation believe Ishbia’s deal with the White Sox comes with an eventual path to take a controlling interest from longtime owner Jerry Reinsdorf." "However, the White Sox issued a statement denying that the deal comes with provisions for Ishbia to take control." and the Greenberg article: "People with knowledge of the discussions believe that the deal will allow Ishbia to take control of the team at some point by buying the shares of longtime owner Jerry Reinsdorf and other partners. But a White Sox official on Friday night disputed that notion, even though it would be unusual for prospective owners to make significant investments for minority shares without the promise of their stakes growing larger." There was nothing essential stated in either article to help estimate a transition period.
