  1. JFC are you one pathetic Reinsdorf shill. Never fucking call people’s fandom into question for challenging the dumb business decisions of this org you ignorant f***.
  2. They weren't getting first rounders for Coby White with him being a UFA, plus his injuries and bad play this season. The time to trade him was in the offseason or last deadline.
  3. I don’t really want to punt the draft pick.
  4. Lol. Some of yall telling on yourself.
  5. The first thing was my initial shrug and thought it was a tad overblown. Then I read the bullets. Plenty of second person things on this and others that kind of warrant acknowledging. Frank Thomas should have gotten his own page and Dye should have have gotten a blurb about being on the World Series team. Anyone involved in that should not be involved in anything related to that kind of work again.
  6. He was first player in MLB history for have 7 straight seasons of .300, 20hr, 100 rbi, and 100 walks. I also believe he was first with 400 home runs (and all time leader) and 1st two time MVP in franchise history! He has a million firsts - this was not a fluke - this was done on purpose.
  7. For a half season? Nah. They will be lucky to get a top 50 guy.
  8. Oh look, the Bulls were late to trade someone again.
  9. Luckily by never agreeing to one of those highly risky nine figure contracts, the Sox have avoided going bankrupt unlike the other 29 organizations!!
  10. Yes, all teams have budgets. But last I checked, the White Sox reside in a large market and still have the smallest largest contract among ALL 30 MLB teams — Benintendi at 5-years, $75 million. I’m not sure why you apparently think Sox fans can’t be Sox fans without supporting a terrible owner. Just like how some Sox fans have the right to defend Jerry, the overwhelming majority of Sox fans also have the right to be upset with one of the worst owners in baseball.
  11. and this just keeps going on and on...and the mods...well
  12. This is the comment I have been waiting for... not the oddly insecure ones.
  13. Jerry Reinsdorf is a lot of things, but everything indicates that racist is not one of them. I can't thing of anything he's said or done as Sox owner over the years that shows that he's prejudiced against any minority group. The best explanations to me is that this snub is a) due to organization incompetence or b) veiled vindictiveness against someone who doesn't sing praises to the Sox organization. Both of those possibilities is very much on brand with Sox ownership. Who knows, maybe JR doesn't like the way Big Frank eats. Also, he's not a Boomer. Boomers are people born between 1946 and 1964. He predates that by almost a decade being born in Feb. 1936.
  14. I think the poster meant the new version of racist which doesn’t mean racist and confuses everybody
  15. Based on this? I think he’s a greedy and stubborn prick, but calling him racist feels kind of lazy.
  16. I find it funny that we have heard numerous stories over the years from legitimate sources about how dysfunctional Jerry’s organization has been run but you would question a poster on this site that has done interviews and obviously has sources of his own. Sure, not every story is going to be true but we know of plenty that are. The only thing that will clean the s%*# stains off of this organization that were left by Jerry will be when he finally sells the team.
  17. Excuse me but once again my sources weren't nobody's in the Sox organization or the media. You can certainly think that if you wish but you'd be wrong. And I find your comment insulting. I'm nobody's f#$%^&* stooge.
  18. That's a good idea. Would make. it convenient to check. I could actully go to his home games if I really wanted to.
  19. Being the only World Series MVP in your franchise's history seems slightly noteworthy.
  20. The f*** up here is that they cite Minoso breaking the color barrier, Al Smith as the first Black All-Star, but then use African American throughout. So it creates intense confusion.
  21. Wow. This is a total nothing burger.
  22. Yes. One of the best purchases I've ever made.
  23. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/02/pirates-sign-mike-clevinger-to-minor-league-deal.html Clevinger has signed a minor league deal NOT with the Sox.
  24. The Tigers are situated to win now, nothing baller about trading today away for the future imo in that scenario.
  25. Well it's the difference in probably being projected at 90 wins and 85 so yea, you're taking the playoff odds preseason down from like 85% to 60% or so. It's not just letting him go, it would be basically punting a contention year and in video games that works fine, but nobody ever does it IRL to any success.
  26. Honestly the baller thing to do would be to trade Skubal now and cut your losses, but grab someone's top 5 to do it. Absolutely reload. Take a hit today to own the AL Central in the future.
  27. Depends on where they are in the standings at the teade deadline then.
  28. If he pitches like himself this year, the Tigers will get 3 to 4 guys, including a Frontline one if they choose to move him. Pitching is always insane at the deadline.
  29. They're trying to make the playoffs this year and probably will. He's a free agent after this year, and if they keep him past August 3, they won't have the opportunity to trade him.
  30. Unlike the Sox, the Tigers will absolutely load up on this trade, when it eventually happens
  31. He was never coming back after the number the Tigers submitted to start this
  32. When Veneable was asked about a breakout guy he said Baldwin. He also loves Vargas as a clubhouse/great team mate guy.
  33. Hudson officially DFA’d to make room for Hayes.
  34. Happy for Coby. Gets to go play for his hometown team.
  35. Yep. Hahn said he would not have made the trade without Ynoa. Like he out-negotiated the Oakland GM. Hahn can put that one on his resume'.
  36. Can't install a bidet in the Bulls front office because it would wash away the employees
  37. No first round picks. You almost have to try to be that bad.
  38. IMO, the WSox have to keep Sosa's RH bat in the line-up as much as possible... possibly as a 1B/DH platoon with Murakami or at 2B for a few games. The more HR power in the line-up, the merrier.
  39. This is the trade that makes me the angriest of them all. Oakland got like 40+ WAR out of Bassitt and Semien. Just complete malpractice in identifying the true value of your players.
  40. So the MLB article talks of getting Taylor to 100ip but Venable hopes to use him to win games. I would be wary of back to back appearances or anything that could hurt him. It is interesting but you have three right-handers in Vasil, Taylor, and Hicks who have some starting experience/ability to go more than an inning. At some point it might make sense to use each every third game for two innings. 50g = 100ip. Getting a couple days rest might protect them a bit. If we are out of the race or post trade deadline, it might make sense. If someone traded(Hicks), you could add in one of the TJ guys or a youngster.
  41. Well to be clear, I didn’t like the idea of moving Taylor to the bullpen. That being said, Taylor also completed dominated the minors and was ready to produce in the majors. The only real reason to hold him down was to build up his innings without burning team control, which I would have done. Instead, the Sox are targeting to get him 100 innings in the majors this year as a reliever in hopes of him possibly joining the rotation next year with 5 years of control remaining. Meanwhile, Smith and Schultz both have plenty to work on in action to their need for inning build-up. As such, they both need to be down in AAA or AA focusing on their development. A big spring training or a need at the major league level should not change that plan.
  42. I know I'm probably in the minority but I don't like Meidroth as the 2b moving forward. He does nothing exceptionally well and his total lack of any pop in his bat and run production should be enough to move on from him.
  43. https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/news/grant-taylor-role-2026-white-sox-bullpen
  44. Eh, I totally forgot he was a compensation signing. That moves me from Eh to Hell No.
  45. We've known some of these guys were big fans of La Russa s%*# for years
  46. From the TV show Loudermilk: (NSFW language)
  47. Might have enough of this archetype right now, but he plays all 3 OF spots and slashed .301/.368/.510 in AAA last season (only 153 ABs). 6-32 (1 HR, 2 2B, 5 BB/SO) in brief stint in the majors.
  48. I thought the white sox had finally moved past white soxing
  49. Rangel Ravelo, a name from the past.
