I mean it does matter. Pitchers will pitch guys differently between one out and two outs with a guy on third. Besides, picking on the top run scoring team in the AL for offense is a choice.

Cubs pitching just seems to be taking advantage of the holes in their approach more than others. For example, Tigers kept seem to be throwing fastball after fastball last weekend.

I'm annoyed by the 1B ump granting time for the pitchcom issue and then the HP ump overriding that to call a violation instead.

I certainly enjoy the ability to correct a bad call in a big spot, but part of me just wants it right 100% of the time to take the human element out of it, especially since a lot of these umps are pretty terrible.

And the Cubs arguably have been worse with RISP, 2-12 yesterday and 4-16 in game 1 (which includes two hits that don't happen if the ump called Hicks' K's correctly).

That has toe be one of the worst at bats in a long time. You go 3-0 and continue to swing at three straight balls and somehow our manager decides to steal on 3-2 with a guy who strikes out at an ungodly % at the plate. What in the world
