Why do people post false statements like this. This is just like the fans who bash Moncada for not being able to hit with RISP when he has better numbers in those situations. On July 3 Keuchel had an ERA of 4.48. Today his ERA has exploded all the way to......uh 4.48.

He got 2 outs and gave up 0 runs. Yes, he was wild. But he was pulled because him versus Lowe was somehow a worse matchup than Bummer versus Arozarena? No. Pitch him, he’s one of the best closers ever. If he fails, it’s on him.

I mean, he got 2 outs before he got pulled. Yes he needs to be better than that, but he didn’t get the chance to lose the game. He loses the game, fine he got beat again. Give him the chance to at least win or lose. He’s a big boy.

I think it wasn't the best move, but at some point Kimbrel needs to own that he put himself in the position to be pulled because of his performance. Hopefully it motivates him.

So this lineup had to beat the Rays, the pen, and TLR.

Guys...we gotta put faith in Tepera. He has watched some youtube videos and FB posts about the Rays batters effectiveness against adversity and made a conscious decision he can beat them on his own.

I would have preferred going for everyday slugging OF Joey Gallo rather than Kimbrel. We already had Kopech, Bummer and Hendriks. Kimbrel was a nice to have luxury but an everyday quality OF was a better option.

Sheets is hitting .387/.447.806 with a 1.254 OPS (lol) since being demoted. Once Engel or Leury are back so they don't need a guy that can cover CF, DFAing Lamb or Goodwin to bring Sheets back up makes sense to me.

Our approach this game should be what teams were doing to Gio before he figured out he can't only be fastball change up. Sit change up, foul off fastballs. Some of these change up locations are god awful.

I disagree. Lets try to get Moncada going. Move him up in the lineup. He hits best (with protection) when he's in the 2 or 3 hole..

Seems possible, but if he was using sticky stuff he probably would have been pitching better. He didn't have great control. However, it's an intriguing thought. And maybe, just maybe, they had a back-up plan where Hendriks would come barreling out of the bullpen with no shirt on screaming, "Crikey it's hot as a shrimp on the barbie out here!" Then he would start hopping around like a kangaroo yelling, "I'm batshit crazy!" In the ensuing madness, the belt could be hidden from the umpires.
