Sox didn't need schwarber or castellanos because they had sheets lol You can't make that shit up9 points

This team is a mess and needs a fucking wake-up call. Given the GM & manager are likely off-limits, I think it’s time for Dallas to be DFAed. He’s an automatic loss at this point and would make a perfect sacrifice given his veteran status. Also, with an off-day this coming Thursday, we can skip his next start and buy us a bit more time for Cueto to be ready. What do you guys think? Is now the time to cut bait on Keuchel? If not now, how much rope do you give him? Either way, something big has to happen to snap this team out of its funk.5 points

Lol. Caulfield posts a free article, doesn't link to it, includes something about Montas in the title and proceeds not to post anything about Montas. Here is your article: https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-predictions-for-may-2022 It's about the Rays trading for Montas.5 points

As terrible as he is, he is nowhere near the the top 10 reasons this team is playing so poorly. Sad.4 points
-
Cut him or use him as a mop up guy but then you take up a spot on the roster. The answer is to cut him.4 points

Yeah i usually hate listening to one of the best broadcasters in sports. What a joy that he wasn't on the call.4 points

I’m sorry you find it “totally unacceptable.” You know what I find totally unacceptable? Having a GM for the last decade that still hasn’t won a playoff series. Having a GM show zero interest in bringing back one of their best performing pitchers last year, and replace him with Vince Velasquez. Having s GM be fully aware he built a lineup that isn’t capable to hitting RHP, and doing nothing to address it in the offseason. Having a FO take their Opening Day starter to arbitration over $50,000. Having ownership dig LaRussa out of the ground to manage the team. Sorry, I’m not going to “cool it.” Deal with it.3 points

Precedence was set, with the cutting of Danks and his 15.75 mil salary just 6 years ago. BUT, that team didn't have nearly the financial inflexibility that the 2022 roster has tied up. Good thing we also gave a multi year deal to a utility man, whom we already had a replacement for in the minors.3 points

Even if Keuchel and the D didn’t suck, the offense still can’t score. It’s deflating.3 points

The Sox are last in walk rate, last in OBP, and have the 2nd highest swing rate in baseball3 points
-
No. This team can still win this division. As crazy as it sounds. They should fire Larussa and the hitting coach tho.3 points
-
Yes you can, because that’s EXACTLY what the Sox did. They made up a narrative that was bullshit from the jump, and now it’s coming back and costing them W’s This organization deserves everything it’s getting right now.2 points

+ 2 DRS, +1.2 frame% 3.0 Defensive WAR. It's like people forget how bad Zavala and Collins really were. The issue with him is the manager is playing him too much (like Leury) and his bat isn't very good. As a defensive backup catcher, he's been more than fine.2 points

McGuire has started 4 of the last 5 games. Nowhere on a competitive team, should that be the case. And it isn't like we're even resting Grandal, either. I really don't understand what the process is, for this organization.2 points

Garcia fouled it off of his leg, probably time for a 60 day IL trip.2 points

So Mr. “Winning Culture” took another shit on the mound huh? Is that what I’m hearing? Strap Dallas Keuchel to a rocket and fire him directly into the sun.2 points

Sheets sucks. Sorta hope he goes to AAA tomorrow instead of Burger.2 points

Sheets is not an outfielder. Period. End of sentence. AJ being only ok in RF is not cause to put the worst defender on the roster in RF and act like it’s fine.2 points

For sure. I rag DK like nobody's business, because he IS a black hole on this team. But....this offense is absymal, with no plate discipline or plan of attack whatsoever.2 points

I can't ever remember seeing a lineup this "late" in the season where only 1 hitter has an OPS above .650 like the Sox do today2 points

I agree. Stone and Jason are great. One of the main reasons my wife wll watch with me is because she likes listening to them lol. I really hope that when Stone retires, AJ takes the color analyst gig. Fans here love him, and I think he does a fantastic job in the booth. He's entertaining and also very knowledgeable of the game.2 points

What made today's game more enjoyable was listening to Len Kasper and A.J. Pierzynski. No, "he hit the daylights out of it", no Nationwide jingle, no SOX Math or Sox Math video.2 points

Honestly for Robert I think Javy Baez might be the best comp for him. I don't see him ever walking enough to be Mike Cameron. Eloy and Robert are basically the same guy at the plate, except Robert is a freak athlete.2 points
